[MOD]JellyBean-4.2,Camera - HTC Desire V

If you have been waiting for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean’s Camera Sphere port for Android 4.1, Ice Cream Sandwich, your wait is over as the Camera / Gallery app has been made available for download. You can download and install Photo Sphere apk on your device right now. However, be informed that it may not have all the features and we may still have to wait till Android 4.2 ROM becomes available.
Google announced Android 4.2 Jelly Bean a few days ago. One of the most awesome features was the Camera Sphere panorama mode that allowed you to take photos in 360 degree panorama mode. This feature, along with many other cool features like Gesture Typing, was made available for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean only. It may not work well on older versions of Android as it may have some dependencies on the OS.
How to Install Photo Sphere on Galaxy Nexus & Other Devices
Before you Begin: You will need a rooted Android device. So, if your device is not rooted already, root it.
Download Android 4.2 Camera APK from JB 4.2 Camera download links and flash it in CWM

Already know that and have taken the matter into my consideration it is because of gyroscope which is required for photosphere to work.will post an updated version

any screenshot?

Issue with photosphere
I've a Xperia T and photosphere doesn't work for me
Ty for your job

Youll need to edit media_profiles.xml to add 640x480 and 800x480 mod because this way highest video resolution will be 352x288.

thanks

Thanks

[Q] True HDR?

Android 2.2+ is supposed to include the API to support adjustment to the exposure of the camera and recently developed apps like pro Hdr don't work in any of the custom roms I've tried any way to enable exposure control on the x10 to work with HDR
Android 2.2+ isn't officially supported by Sony Ericsson. The camera / video camera have been made to work by our wonderful devs, thus not all features will be working perfectly. For me I find that the quality of the images isn't as good as stock 2.1 but I don't use the camera enough to care.
Wait until SE releases 2.3.3 update this summer, that will surely come with official camera drivers and everything will work perfectly then. If you can't survive without exposure control then go back to 2.1

not work for me
I tired this on ChampionSwimmers AOKP build (JB 4.1.2)....I know, I know it is a 4.2 camera but the 4.2 camera has been ported to JB 4.1 many times on other devices and since there are many more users of JB4.1 ROMs than 4.2, I thought I might as well get the test out of the way.....
Eventually I was able to get it to work. I wasn't able to install it using the flashable zip...it may be the recovery I am using (it is Thomas1991_12's dual recovery with TWRP and CWM...neither would install the zip). So I manually installed Gallery2.apk and the library files (set permissions to 644) and the camera is working. The videorec FCs when you stop recording (saves the video though!). Panorama is also FCing...but I believe this is common when putting the 4.2 camera onto JB4.1 based ROMs....also the Forward Facing camera is FCing but I believe this also may be a bug in the AOKP ROM I am using. Unless some one else reports for a 4.2 ROM, I will test it out later today...
I attached two logcats, one for the viderec crashing and one for the panorama crashing....
Thanks a lot for this!
EDIT: forgot to mention that the zip appears to load correctly (doesn't throw any errors) but the new gallery does not appear in /system/app....
Great job...work on my CM10 LWW...problem are the same like above...
btw...what about photo sphere...
Im working on Android 4.2 so this fix will be included but before the rom is stable, ... I thought why not first a camera fix I think this errors will go when we swtich to 4.2

Great, work great in preview 4.2 of PAC.
A little glitch: when i put vertical the phone, the app delay to refresh the image.

Running szl.kiev's CM10.1 using the provided kernel. Flashed the latest update of the 4.2 camera. Camera is working just fine. Videorec is not...does not record or save anything. Weird because this was working on my 4.1 ROM....so I installed the original 4.2 camera and tried it as well...videorec also not working, so it is a Jelly Bean 4.2 issue. Also tried vidrec in 420p resolution and it behaves the same....
Attached logcat of videorec from the latest release....
I also noticed that when the camera is changing modes that it flashes an image of what appears to be the miui green grass wall paper......
Another bug.
The image preview is to much wide in 8mpx resolucion. If you add 6mpx (16:9) would be nice

PD: I flash 4.2 w/gapps again and the fix not work
WOW ! Nicely done !
-Looking forward to your next release !
Wow! Great work! Confirmed working on Xperia arc s 4.1.2.
I did a little test. I put the camera on some perfectly circular coins. On the 16:9 preview, they're stretched from a 4:3 ratio. However the photo was saved as 4:3 and not stretched so the end result was circular coins.
Salute to you sir
I'm a student so I have not much time and I'm working on more projects like CM 10.1 (Android 4.2), Kernel Developing, MIUI and Camera and this needs all time, family, ....
But I look forward to release a next version soon

[Q] Xperia Ray camera preview screen is always stretched.

I am using [android 4.2.2 gallery/camera app] with Super Jelly Bean 5.5.
With pure Super Jelly Bean 5.5, camera app stops working very frequently, so I decided my ray to have Android 4.2.2 gallery/camera app.
After this operation, it won't stop working, but every camera preview shows stretched to 16:9 instead of 4:3 with all resolutions.
How can I fix it? Please answer this question. Thank you.

[Q] How to get the Photo Sphere option working on my Non-Nexus Android device?

I have a Micromax Magnus A117. I rooted it today. I wanted to get a Photo sphere option on my camera so I uninstalled my existing gallery and installed the .apk file, that I found in one of the xda forums and now, although the gallery works and camera also work, but I can't find the Photo Sphere option in the camera at all. I have three options that is Panorama, camera and video, only these three options are there. Now I am not able to understand why this is happening. My android version is Jelly Bean 4.2.
