With HWMod Kernel, overclocked to 1.78 GHz (running stable for me): 3834 (CPU: 7680, Mem: 3315, I/O: 5380, 2D: 1006, 3D: 1790)
The thing is, that in my experience these benchmarks don't show how smooth the system feels. Therefore I don't give much into this numbers.

Hi!
When I use the HWMod Kernel, should I also copy the Kernel modules to /system/lib/modules/ ?

Yes, but do it with adb push from your pc.

Thank you a lot. I know that quadrant results arent 100% optimal to show performance, but i don know other way to see diffrence between your ROM and stock. I see reviews about s7-301u and on stock there was about 2700 points, so your 3800 looks rly well.

Reflash the original recovery image first (recovery.img - found in update.zip) in fastboot mode with
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery2 recovery.img
Copy the dload folder to your sd card and reboot into recovery mode, installation should start

is that correct?

No, put your device in fastboot mode while connected to your pc (volume key to the left while booting). Use fastboot on your pc as stated above. You don't need twrp for this.

ROM Updated to v1.2: Additional "Butter" Tweaks, Android 4.2 Keyboard

Thanks man a lot!

you can flash recovery only via fastboot and it will overwrite twrp

Sorry, small bugfix release...init.d scripts weren't executable

So does this have the touch screen filtering fix?

Touchscreen is working fine for me with stock kernel but you can always install hwmod kernel. It's running great at 1,78 GHz.

can you please give detailed instructions how to push module files in to system/lib/modules using adb?

First install the kernel with fastboot, then:
Enable USB Debugging
Connect your Mediapad to the pc
Remount system rw with "adb remount"
Push Modules with "adb push modules/ /system/lib/modules/" (assuming that you extracted the modules directory in the folder you are standing)

I am not responsible if you break your Flyer by flashing this ROM!
What you need:
If you come from Gingerbread, you have to follow this guide before you flash FlyHoney ROM, otherwise your device won't boot! Installing Honeycomb on your Flyer - the complete guidehttp://android.modaco.com/topic/345950-installing-honeycomb-on-your-flyer-the-complete-guide/
Installation:
Download FlyHoney ROM and place the zip on your SD card
Boot the device in recovery by holding vol-down + power
Optional: Go to backups and restore and perform a backup
Choose the option "wipe data/factory reset" and confirm
Then choose the option "install zip from sdcard", then "choose zip from sdcard" and select the FlyHoney ROM zip file and confirm
After flashing, reboot your device
IMPORTANT:
If you don't want to have wifi issues and you want to get my custom scripts (speed scripts, ram optimizations, zipalign on boot) and the mail widget working, then you have to flash the boot.img from the ROM zip after you flashed the ROM:
After you flashed the ROM, boot in fastboot mode (adb reboot bootloader)
extract the boot.img from the ROM zip to the folder where you have the fastboot.exe file
Open cmd and switch to that location (where the fastboot file is)
Type "fastboot flash boot boot.img" (without "") and press enter. Then you're fine and you can enjoy the rom

oooops... now it's working! tell me something please: it needs same procedure like Paul posted, or just place the zip on SD and flash via recovery???
If you did everything from pauls guide, then you can just put it on your sdcard, boot in recovery, wipe and install.
But you have to follow pauls guide first
hi,
Does it work for WIFI flyer?
It is not tested yet.
But I recommend to read to whole guide from paul (linked in first post).

I'm assuming that circular battery percentage does not belong to stock Honeycomb?
No
But i find it much better than the boring htc one (without %)..
Ah and I also forgot to mention that I also added phone functionality
(Added it now to the OP)
can you mirror the little files on paul thread? filesonic is making me wait a lot of time to download the files
Sorry I don't have time for that now, it's late in Switzerland and I got to work tomorrow.
I maybe gonna do it tomorrow evening.
1) BT Headset is really working on this ROM? when i enabled it in the build.prop on the stock HC it wont connect (well it will connect as a headset but will immediately disconnect). Do you have it fuly working in this ROM?
2) Phone is not really working on HC so you can remove it.

I can't say it is better because you have to try it and and give report but my rom is NOT a stock ROM it is totally based on CM7 ROM by FXP team: they've build their own sources (lib files; camera; network; optimisation;...) so it is tottaly different to a stock ROM because it is not the same base!!!
Here is just a little part of their work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16379792&postcount=2
secondly I'll optimise this ROM again and again I think it is already SUPERFAST
so I suggest you to try it I'm sure you'll enjoy it

i have tried there cm7.1 rom too but its very buggy and many things don't work,
fm radio, hdmi, camera, no flash, but when that's fixed it will be very good rom i think...

The installation of this kernel won't make you lose any data
> You can also use the kernel in the firmware .145 (and only in this firmware) using the boot.img. However, it is less stable than having the latest firmware. I suggest you first set up.
1] Preparing Files
- Unzip the previously downloaded fastboot-USBdrivers.zip
- You will now have a folder fastboot-USBdrivers.
- Now move the file boot.img (see prerequisites) to the root of your hard drive
2] Connect the equipment
- Connect your Xperia neo fastboot mode:
Turn-on
While holding down the Menu button, connect the camera to your computer. The LED turns blue
- Now install the driver (if you do not SDKs) by following this tutorial using the file-fastboot USBdrivers I propose above.
3] Flashing the kernel
- Open the fastboot-USBdrivers then hold the SHIFT key (shift) key, right click on the folder and select fastboot "open a command prompt here".
Users of Windows XP or Vista, for which the "open a command prompt here" may not s'affichier, please follow this tutorial to display the option or install the SDK normally then enter the command
- If prompted, enter this command and hit enter:
Code:
fastboot flash boot C: \ boot.img
then reboot and voila
I have 2.3.4. firmware Neo tweaked v0.4, I flashed doomkernel v 0.9, and in recovery set to instal your rom but after successful installation and boot screen "Dommkernel" is bootloop. So Im not doing it in wright way or what.

Hi everyone.
Here is CyanogenMod 9 for Huawei Mediapad.
Working:
- Radio;
- Data connection;
- Touchscreen;
- Full hardware acceleration;
- Sound;
- Microphone;
- Sensors;
- Camera;
- Camcorder;
- Wi-fi;
- HDMI;
- GPS;
- Usb-host;
- Usb connection to PC (mtp, ptp);
- Bluetooth.
Problems in current rom:
- Some glitches in preview of running apps;
- Broken photo/camcorder preview;
- Random mac address after reboot;
- Wrong country detection in Google Play over wifi with turned off radio.
Download:
- TWRP Recovery;
- CM9 for Huawei Mediapad - Alpha 2, bluetooth_fix_for_alpha2;
- Google apps.
Instructions: !!!Be aware that im not responsible for any damage that can cause this rom!!!
1. Flash TWRP recovery from fastboot by these commands:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery2 recovery.img
2. Then download CM9 for Huawei Mediapad, Gapps and place them on your sdcard (not internal memory).
3. Boot in TWRP Recovery, then choose Backup and check cust partition, then Swipe to back up (you will get full backup of stock rom).
Pls notice, that this recovery can make backup only of /cust partition, not /hwcust like in international roms.
4. Press back to go to main menu and choose Wipe there, then press Factory reset, then System (thats important, 'cause update zip cant format ext4 system partition).
5. Press back again and choose Install, then find downloaded zip rom, choose it and Swipe to Confirm Flash.
6. Press back again and choose Install, then find downloaded zip with Gapps, choose it and Swipe to Confirm Flash.
7. Then reboot in system and enjoy cm9 rom on your Mediapad

Changelog and old versions:
- CM9 for Huawei Mediapad - Alpha 2 - 13.08.2012.
- switched back to stock kernel, but with arkusuma's touchscreen fix - no random reboots now (because 3.0.38 kernel was unstable on cm9 for me and a few other users);
- fixed USB connection to PC;
- fixed GPS;
- fixed USB-host;
- fixed "phone UI" of cm9 launcher to "tablet" one (now you can adjust grid size, default is 6x6);
- changed back light.sensor values to stock one (at least it works now);
- fixed Bluetooth (see above for bluetooth_fix_for_alpha2)
- CM9 for Huawei Mediapad - Alpha 1 - 07.08.2012.
- moved to kernel 3.0.38 Mediapad EX OlympiC Edition by bart594 - really big thx to him (kernel changelog here and here);
- fixed time resetting after reboot;
- completely fixed radio and data connection;
- working usb/wifi tethering;
- ro.secure=0 for supporting adb push to /system, /data etc;
- fixed problems with gallery.
- CM9 for Huawei Mediapad - Alpha0-Preview1 - 03.08.2012.
Very well done, hopefully we can have a full functional version and soon enough JB
thanks you

Nice tool
Just one comment regarding all AOSP based roms
from Lloir and myself which use the BLADE kernel
You dont need to do this for those roms!
The rom is taking care that the kernel modules are
in the correct location if required using an init.d script
But it will do no harm cause we are "smart" enough do detect it

cool, im guessing you're speaking of modules injector??
i was wondering why we aren't using something like that on the HOX,
im guessing you either have a bigger boot partition or that module's sizes are really small?
worst come to worst... this still have a logging feature which will come in handy...
and for the record, ill update and make it more usable

The modules are included in the boot image in /lib/modules
and synced with /system/lib/modules on boot if required
Using xz compression for the kernel makes it small enough
So e.g. BLADE kernel has about 4.4mb including everything

Help! I'm getting "Invalid Modules" when trying to flash kernel. This is what I did: unzipped boot.img and modules folder from elemental kernel, put those them in the respective folders under one x one click folder, ran the one click exe as administrator (win7), chose the kernel img and modules zip, it seems to run for a second and then the invalid modules and operation terminated. Obviously I'm not doing it correctly with the modules zip process.

Hi,
something else: there was a post in the MultiROM thread about BOKROM, where a TWRP backup usable with MultiROM has been provided. Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...rom-cm12-unofficial-hammerhead-gapps-t2969820. In the OP there is a "Special Download: M Preview 2 Backup *** NEW ***"
It works for me.

For anyone who wants, i built stock kernel with root support, in sync with the MPZ79M sources, it fixes video issues with M DP2.

it's only the zImage as i made no modifications on ramdisk. You MUST flash stock MPZ79M boot.img, and then as usual flash this with "fastboot flash zimage zImage-dtb"

Do you know when a multirom zip is coming?
Any chance there'll be a modified kernel with permissive or disabled SELinux when this ROM gets updated to a flashable zip? Just wondering. I'm already on M Preview but I hear that the kernel change is like the only way to use root for now until SuperSU is updated.
Thanks, dowloading, no root yet?

Found this kind of interesting about Android M...
Is our device supported by dsixda's Android kitchen? If yes I'll make a flashable zip myself.

I used the one that came with 5.1.1 update (LMY48B) it works flawlessly. So, my guess it does come with the same version of boot loader and radio.
