PLUS YOU WILL NEED TO FLASH GAPPS AFTER
Jelly Bean 4.2 Gapps here (CM10.1)
(use top row CM10.1 link for 11/30)
WHAT WORKS
(Basically, most items I tested work)
Hardware Acceleration (Thanks to Hascode for all things related to HD codecs customization)
HD Codecs (YouTube)
NOT WORKING
Bootanimation needs a display bugfix (Landscape mode default)
Recents list also needs a display bugfix
Sound does not always work (seemingly random), especially with Apps like Google Play music.
USB Transfer speed seems very low (800kb/s)
INSTALLATION
FULL WIPE is required when coming from a 4.1 ROM. Use Titanium Backup to restore apps.
Download the ZIP
Grab the GAPPS (11/30 from goo.im/gapps)
Reboot into CWM
Make your backup
Wipe -> Factory Reset (data/cache)
Flash both .zip files
Reboot and Enjoy
Special Credit to Hascode for help during preparing this release.

No, i though it was implemented in the ROM. Anyways can you provide me a link for the most updated way to install the firmware, mikos wrote about an app but can't find it so i guess that means it's not ready yet. Thanks!
@kuzma maybe you can add to the install instruction that you need to have the 10 touch firmware installed and a link of it, that will make it easier for the ones that stop following the forum.

Just FYI - flashed this and I really like it so far. Everything you stated seems to be working for the most part. Thanks and great job. Once I use it more I will notify you of any problems that I come across.
Sent from my NT running Kuzma's Jelly Bean 4.2.1

i find the auto-rotate needs a fix in general, it's not only the bootanimation that is off standard. 7 inch tablets were changed to be portrait by default. i also find that sound doesn't work 100% either, but that's a minor problem.
This is a really good release and i can't wait to see what you do to it :3

Add support both 2 point and 10 point touchscreen firmware. Filename for release same full_acclaim-jb-20121213.zip. If anybody with 2 point firmware download this file this morning (Ukraine timezone) please download it again.

Couple things I'm seeing...
Clock Force Closes every boot
Microphone is not working with Google Now (this has had issues on other 4.1 roms, so not surprised that it doesnt work here, although there is a patch, somewhere for it)
Daydream setting for Clock causes a settings force close (others work fine, could be related to the Clock Force Close on bootup).
Google Now says Location services are turned off, they are turned on in settings, so something isn't right there.
I will post back if i can find that patch and try it out to see if it will fix the mic issue.
EDIT: I tried the patch (used to be a flashable .zip file, now is an APK) and was not able to use the mic afterwards still

appears that true tablet mode is completely gone (even setting Density to 133, i could not get it), this is fine, as with a lower density, i REALLY like the UI the way it is.
I will post back if i can find that patch and try it out to see if it will fix the mic issue.

If I recall, Google removed Tablet Mode entirely from 4.2.x
Well, not removed just locked it out (confirmed by PA team). You're not likely to find it until someone hacks something together to get it back.

yeah, i figured as much, thats cool, i got used to a lower than stock lcd_density, so i'll just set it at 140 and see if it causes any problems... i will have to say that i like the phablet ui at that scale though, it still pretty clean, and nice.

Is there a way to run this from the SDcard? Thanks.

Well, I'm back on cm9 because about every 3 minutes or so it would kick my out to the boot sequence. I kept trying to download the LCD density modder to fix the screen density from hdpi to mdpi, but I couldn't due to the frequent crashes. I dunno if this is just me and I botched the install somehow or if this ROM is still extremely alpha. If these are routine problems id recommed putting "WIP" or "devs only" in the thread name. Just IMO. Hope this is just a problem with my install.

I have problem playing hd video on youtube with miui. Still can't find a solution. That keeps me from releasing an update
Other than that everything is working fine though.
Hi, will it work on a 8Gb Tablet or it's just for 16Gb?

The rom should work but the kernel is for 16g only. You need to mod it (change the irboot) for it to work on 8g.

[app]TouchScreenTune - testing with ATT Note

UPDATED: added version 1.14 to this post (and pushed it to Play Store as well)
please let me know if it works good (doesn't reboot) when applying settings on stock rooted kernel.
Hi!
I'm trying to make my app TouchScreenTune to work on default kernel on ATT version of Galaxy Note. But since I don't have it myself (I have European Note), I obviously need some feedback from people with I717
This is for GingerBread kernel (however in the case on N7000 it works on ICS as well)
Could you please check if ToouchScreenTune test version attached to this post works with your rooted kernel? Especially I'm interested if it works with stock kernel. Just try to adjust SPen position to some extreme offset - you will immediately see it when pressing screen with SPen.
Thanks.
P.S. Description of the app from the Market after the break
----------
Market link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vital.tst.n7000&hl=en
*Requires Root*
*Currently supports Samsung Galaxy Note (tested on N7000), Galaxy S2*
*THIS IS TRIAL VERSION!!! FULL VERSION REQUIRES REGISTRATION AND IS PAID*
NorthAmerican/AT&T Note users - see comment regarding kernel below!!!!
TouchScreenTune application allows you to fine-tune settings of phone's touchscreen and calibrate Pen cursor position for every screen orientation (portrait/landscape...). (S-pen calibration obviously works only for Note)
It allows to dramatically improve responsiveness and sensitivity of touchscreen.
If you are using screen protector on your phone, the application will allow to raise screen sensitivity, so there will be no responsiveness impact from using screen protector.
This application allows you to calibrate amount of touch movement, when actual reporting of scrolling starts. That allows more smooth feeling of the interaction with the touch screen.
Without this application you cannot precisely draw or click small items with Pen because it reports position incorrectly - few millimeters away from the actual touch point. But this application allows you to precisely calibrate position of Pen touch on the screen. (Galaxy Note only)
Some common problems:
When first starting there should be popup from SuperUser application with request to get Root access. Some people say that sometimes it doesn't appear. In that case try starting the SU program first, and then this application.
This application supports standard Samsung firmwares - with custom kernels it may not work (however I have successfully tested it with some custom kernels)
Custom kernels: app requires kernel with KALLSYMS, so ask developer of your kernel to include this in his config when building kernel: CONFIG_KALLSYMS=y, CONFIG_KALLSYMS_ALL=y
Known issues: if when first starting application it seems to be not responding, and dialog asking to force close app comes - choose wait. This should happen only on first run.
Hi- I read sonewhere TST does not work with the stock att kernel. You need to root and flash a kernel that supports it from the development section.

It does not appear to change anything. I set the x and y offsets to 300 each and the target did not change position relative to the pen placement.

My apologies...I should have been more specific about my set up.
I'm using a custom ROM based off the leaked ICS 4.0.3 firmware. I'm rooted with SuperSU, but the kernel is stock since we don't have source for the ICS kernel yet.
I do get an error message

This is compiled for GB, however in the case of N7000 it works on leaked version of ICS as well. However judging from your error - either ICS leak lacks Kallsyms support or driver is much changed compared to GB version.
I have also uploaded one more test version - which possibly may work better.

Parsing error when trying to install the new version.
Stock GB kernel does not have KALLSYMS. It was added for some custom kernels, though.
My guess is that ICS does not have this either.

Uploaded new version again - now it seems to be OK.
Regarding Kallsyms - stock actually should have it - at least according to kernel sources published by Samsung, and also some people reports. So it would be really nice if somebody with stock kernel could test it.

I bought the app from you off the market.
It did work on the holo kernel.
However, on Seraphim ICS build it doesn't.
I actually uninstalled the program.
The spen is off by 1 square in s-memo. Not too bad.
ICS is much better about the sensitivity and tracking
I had them set to 0 and 25 as recommended but like I said that was too much so I just uninstalled.
does not work on un-rooted, stock att ...
Good to see you hear, i loved using this on GB.
Running ICS from the collective, it loads up but won't apply any requested changes.
May have to wait till the kernel is released and KALLSYMS is added in.
Hi vitalij,
I am running a rooted but otherwise totally stock at&t galaxy note. I tested the application but couldn't notice a difference with the spen settings, even moving them to the extremes.
I tested the application in the marketplace as well. It would open and let me adjust the settings (again, didn't notice a difference) but when I applied the changes my device would reset. I upgraded to the full version and the same thing happened. When I redownloaded the test version the reboot fixed itself, but the settings still don't make a difference on the pen.
Hope this helps!

[ROM][JB][MIUI4.1][GSM][SUSPENDED] Turbo MIUI v0.52.20914 (MIUI 2.9.14 on CM10)

Development suspended until (if) CM10 gets to a faster and stable state. If you want a fast, fully working new MIUI experience, check out my other ROM.

Here is an alpha release of MIUI4.1 based on CM10 for the Xperia Play. It is built upon CM10-FXP137 and MIUI Jellybean for the Nexus S.
I am using this ROM as a daily driver now and it seems to be very stable. But since CM10 is still alpha, there may be some bugs still. Future updates may also require a factory reset, so be aware of that.
A CDMA version will come soon, as soon as CM10 is confirmed working on R800x I will work on it for MIUI.
Make sure you read the blue section "Special Notes/Partially working" below before using! It contains very important existing issues and work-arounds.
Working (tested):
Calls / Text / 3G / Data
Audio
Wifi
Camera
ALS / Auto-brightness
Web Browser (from MIUI 2.8.24)
Google Play Store (fully)
Google Now (no Voice Search)
Music/Gallery/Screenshot feature (Menu+VolDown)
Location/Maps/Compass
Gamepad
Touchpads (On most games, thanks to farenheith)
If you find a game that still doesn't have working touchpads, report it in farenheith's thread. Known games reported still not working:
- Dead Space
Not working:
Torch (unknown issue)
Wifi Tether (CM10 issue)
?
Partially working/special notes:
After call is ended, audio is not routed back to loudspeaker. Sounds will be very quiet! You need to either replug headphones or reboot the phone to fix it... sadly this is a CM10 issue and I can't fix it.
In Notification Panel, the Clear/Options button in top-right corner goes off the screen. Change font-size to "Small" (in Settings > Display) to fix this for now.
Google Play Store might not show installed apps or purchased apps after signing in for the first time. Simply 'Clear Data' for Google Play Store to fix it.
When screen is off, VolUp does nothing and holding either Vol button will only skip music tracks forward
?

I will release a CDMA test version soon. This will take a while because I have to upload two separate versions and I don't know if CM10 for zeusc even works yet.

Ah. My bad, didn't notice that sorry. >.<
It does on pax's 7/29 build. You could use that as a base for the cdma variant as that has *almost everything working.

No, this is my own work. If I got it from that guy I would have given credit to him.
EDIT: He probably used my own research. Unlike most XDA "developers", I like to share what I know with the community. Or maybe he is actually one of the few skilled hackers on here and also did it himself like me.
gonna try it later after work and will report the bugs
thanks for bringing up another JB Rom pal

Alright thanks, I'll try and build a CDMA test version. But since this isn't FXP I won't be able to keep it as up-to-date.

Sure, why wouldn't it? Unless you mean the CM10 bug where it says "Unable to install to internal USB or memory card" when you try to install paid apps from the Play Store, no. That is a CM10 bug. But restoring everything from TB works fine, and installing free apps/updates from Play Store works fine.

Awesome, I know pax will update once he's able to and eventually fxp will figure out data as well.
Going kinda off-topic with this so let me know if you'd rather not discuss it here but, do you build your kernel with ics sources modified for JB or from fxp's jb sources?

The kernel I'm building from is branched off JBX repo (on the 'jellybean-turbo' branch), however I did a full tree comparison and the FXP CM10 jellybean kernel is identical to the JBX one - apart from the zRAM update from FXP (Google snappy compression) which I have already merged in CM9 turbo kernel. The RAMDisk is based on FXP RAMDisk.

The full SemcRIL code for this ROM is taken directly from CM10, along with BaseCommands and PhoneFactory. It was actually a requirement to get it booting. Using my existing scripts but replacing the CM10 base for CDMA version, and the MIUI base for the CDMA Galaxy Nexus version, it should hopefully be enough....
...I would upload my "kitchen" so people can try to build it and bugtest, but how many of you guys with CDMA zeus's are good with smali? Also it requires Windows Vista/7.

Of what? MIUI or CM10? Check the JBX thread for CM10 working CDMA. Wait, cj posted the link a few posts back to a CM10 for zeusc with working data.
Sorry to hijack cosmic,
My guess as to why CM10 data stopped working for CDMA is because of a commit done a while back (August 5th)
Now that I have a working PC i'm gonna try to undo that & see if that's the issue & if it is, I need to coordinate with FXP to create a ril for cdma & edit some common files

That's fine, it's is still relevant since it's based on CM10. So is that build linked a while back working with CDMA fully or not? I will probably not update the GSM ROM of this until next FXP release anyway so.... yeah.
It would be good if FXP CM10 had CDMA working, because then I could easily create a patch for this GSM ROM. I really don't want to have to upload two full ROM's every time.

Tweaked VZW Remix

This is a port of Tweaked for the T-Mobile Note 2, and the update to their latest OTA. It was ported by taking the changes and merging them into the VZW firmware, not by just replacing a few files. I will continue to maintain this and update it with the T-Mobile version, and also with future VZW Updates. It is TouchWiz and based on the latest OTA, VRALL4VRAMC3. I'm also working with dwitherell on some changes, though he did most of the work. There is a laundry list of changes, so see the main thread for a full change list. I'll put some basic stuff here though.

Basic Aroma Options <-- Going a different route
There is more, and many of the things are available in the other ROMs posted here as well. Feel free to use whomever's ROM you want, I'm just posting this for some variety If you want screenshots, download and install it, then take them yourself. It will look different based on the options you set in TSM Parts for colors/transparency/icons/etc. and trying to get pictures of everything would take forever and take up bandwidth.

[size=+2]FAQ[/size]
I'm getting a "Status 7" error when installing, WTF?
Update recovery. The recovery that is flashed during unlock does not process asserts properly (was compiled for a different model Note 2). You need to update recovery to fix it. Once you update recovery, complain to AdamOutler who isn't keeping his recovery updated in the unlock packages.
I flashed the ROM, now I'm looping on the Samsung boot logo, why did you break my phone?
If you read the title, this is a ROM. It is not a ROM+Kernel. If you weren't on a TouchWiz ROM beforehand and you are coming to this, you need to flash a kernel before going out of recovery. Otherwise, your phone isn't going to work.
Why is my phone not sleeping on the latest update?
If you've installed the latest update, there is a new option for "no wake lag". If you check this option, your phone will not sleep. It keeps any "lag" from happening by keeping the phone from entering deep sleep. This doesn't affect battery life too much unless you are in a poor signal area. If you didn't check this option, it's time to start investigating.
Where is Aroma?
I'm looking into it, but don't expect miracles when it does show up. Aroma is needlessly complex, and I don't want to deal with troubleshooting 500 different installation options and worrying about supporting them when I wouldn't use 99% of them. I'm going to make a couple changes for an upcoming release to give you some minor customization options, but nothing major.
What the hell is TSMParts (new option in Settings menu)?
A huge slew of mods and tweaks originally put together by the original members of TSM and inspired by impressive works of numerous others - the TSMParts interface acts as a control for all of the customizable fun available. There are a large number of options there - so make sure to check them all out!
I set a statusbar icon to hide, but it's still there. What gives?
The statusbar icon tweaks may require a little effort on your part for changes to take effect. All changes can be elicited with a reboot/hotboot, BUT for most there are other ways:
-- Bluetooth/vibrate-silent/alarm icons/ime -- just change their state (on/off or vibrate/sound, etc)
-- No sim -- if the notification is already active you will need to reboot/hotboot to hide it
How does this One Hand toggle work?
The toggle, when on, forces ALL one-hand options to be selected. When off, it reverts the settings to WHATEVER they were before the toggle was turned on. This is still a work in progress, but it's a start. That being said - I'm open to suggestions on how to improve it
The toggles in the pulldown are suddenly a weird large size (width) - what gives?
This happens sometimes (usually if auto-rotate is enabled) - all you need to do to "reset" the size of the toggles is enable auto-rotate, then go into an app that allows for rotation and ...well, rotate. Rotate back and check the pulldown - all should be well once again.
This is the best thing since sliced bread, can I make it rain?
Since dwitherell did most of the hard work, it'd be great if you donated to him first. Otherwise, you can click the DONATE TO ME button to the left, or click here, it's appreciated, but not expected. Clicking thanks on the posts also works.
This thing is worse than Tub Girl, how do I go back to what I had before?
Restore your phone from a backup. Didn't backup before you flashed? Guess you should have
I'm having a problem, FIX IT NAO!!!1!
Send me the output from logcat as well as details of what you do when you see the problem. If you don't know how to get info from logcat, see here. If you still can't get the info, I guess you'll just have to deal with it.
Can we get XYZ feature added?
Link to it, and I'll talk it over with dwitherell
Why don't you mention blah blah blah in your FAQ? It would have helped me a lot!
My bad - PM me anything you think should be added to this that would be helpful for the general user base!

[4.4.4] MIUI [4.9.5][AOSP Omni based]

First off I do not own an i605 myself but have the l900 (sprint) which is almost the same device. Hardware wise there is only a tiny difference which is in the partition setup. Sprint uses a different data partition mccblk0p17 where all other N2's use mccblk0p16 the other is our mccblk0p16 which contains special files used by sprint on their stock roms (just to make our lives more difficult). I have been working with @lacoursiere18 on a few of my projects for the l900 and we tried to port an earlier version of MIUI for our devices before he got busy with school. Since then I have successfully ported over MIUI to the l900 and i605. Brian has been nice enough to test build out and confirm it works great on the i605. So now I am releasing this for your flashing pleasure. I also took a little extra time and modified Plasma 2.55 to work with MIUI and gotten permission from @ffolks (a few months ago) to post the modified kernel for everyone to use.
Well everyone (l900 users and those who browse the l900 forums) already knows I hate doing OP's so they stay pretty simple and this wont will be any different. Also MIUI users know that there are weekly updates but since this is a port and I have so many projects going on. It might be a month or two between my releases.
This is ported from the N7100 which is based on Omni rom. Original rom is located here
http://en.miui.com/download-35.html
and is the one by mdiary. So far only issues I know of it call recorder does not work (just says being used by another app) and you have to go into settings..mobile networks..network mode and change to CDMA+LTE/EvDO to enable 4g after every boot. If you flash any gapps package you will lose gps. If you continue to read the OP I will give instructions on how to setup your MIUI rom to get the most out of it.
So I took the base and turned it into a full featured rom with a whole mess of add-ons and tweaks.
Included items/tweaks/mods
Adfree (although I already have a host list created)
dolphin browser
dolphin jetpack plugin
adobe flash 11.1 kk
es file manager
LG G3 Keyboard and a few themes
WSM (MIUI Xposed)
Mi-Tools module (like wanam or gravity box)
Paid themes module (all miui themes are free)
AOSP Dash Clock widget
AOSP Calender widget
Terminal emulator
A bunch of build.prop tweaks
A bunch of init.d scripts (to enable them continue reading the OP)
Bug list
MIUI-i605 4.9.5
Any Omni bugs
call recording does not work
If you flash any gapps besides mine you will lose gps

2. Boot into recovery and backup current rom
3. Do a factory reset (if using philz/cwm do clean for new rom)
4. Format/wipe internal sdcard (if you dont do this and have issues first thing I will say is format it)
5. Reboot back into recovery (this will create your internal sdcard dir structure)
6. Flash MIUI and boot it
7. After initial setup power off and boot into recovery
8. Flash Gapps (please do it in this order or you will end up wiping and reflashing)
9. Boot into rom
10. Go to post #3 and follow those steps
Do not flash any kernel besides the modified Plasma or your rom wont boot. If there is an AOSP kernel you want to use let me know and I will make it compatible.
