[REQ] DROID RAZR HD Jelly Bean AOSP Email - RAZR HD Themes and Apps

Mad props to TRF-Inferno for the work on ICS AOSP Email.
Now that JB is pushed out to the masses, can we begin work on getting AOSP Email and Exchange (preferably with the option to disable security policy) working on the OTA JB update? I know some have tried a few apks and I will certainly be attempting some installs and configs. If you have any advice, experience, or tips, please share.
Other than the Blur email apps this is most definitely the best phone available. I came back to it after returning a HTC DNA.

[REQ] Motorola Universal Inbox App for CM7

The motorola Atrix has support for the messaging app direct from motorola, the only thing i'm really looking for with it is the universal inbox support. Is there any way of removing the .apk from the base OS? CM7 Runs fantastic in pre-beta #3, but i want to be able to go to all my messages by one press like i can do now. It wasn't only the universal inbox, but the fact that all messaging was grouped under one button.
AWesome, my thread got moved for no reason, This is not a question, its a dev request to pull the app from the stock atrix rom so we can add it to CM7.
The problem is, that it's a Motorola App. CM7 is for those who don't want any Blur or other Skin over their phone. If you really want it that badly, flash a different ROM

[Q] Blur version on photon vs D3/bionic/razr

Hiyo all !!
Actually I was just curious if there is some kind of version upgrade on Motoblur (oops Motorola's application platform to be exact) between that of photon 4g than other moto qhd devices recently launched like that of bionic , droid 3 and the sweet droid razr.
I am sure almost all of you who have seen both device might have found that there are some minor changes like horizontal paginated drawer on droid 3/bionic versus vertical continous that of photon and some extra widgets in d3/bionic's version.
These changes doesn't matter much to me, but one thing that does matter is that MAP (or as well can blur) on D3/bionic seems much seemless, swift and lagfree to me then on stock photon.
This got me curious if ther is a new version of MAP on these new devices like Razr/bionic and if it is , is there any way to port that from these devices and get on our beloved photon.
Can some of the dev's investigate on this and let me know if its possible. I tried to google it (this is all I can do really !!) but couldn't find any answers.
Thanks in advance !!!
Well for the map anyways I pretty sure you can just get the. Apk from the rom and sign the app. Photon framework Apk might be needed. Google signing Apk
I was wondering this yesterday....Would definitely be awesome if we could have this in our photon.....

By MAP I mean Motorola's Applications platfrom (or MotoBlur as we call it) not Google maps... lol
If you did that on purpose , that was really hilarious
Can some of the dev's provide a definitive answer to this ? Is it possible or not ?
Thanks
You can already install the camera.apk from the razr, but you have to do a factory reset after installing the apk or you will get force close errors on the camera.

[Q] Would I need a touchwiz based rom to best use the camera

I have been using a rooted IncS for more than a year now and finally want to make the switch from HTC to Samsung. One of the biggest drawbacks for me when using a rooted IncS was that I had to use a Sense based ROM to maximise the my camera experience. I understand some .apk relating to the camera has not been released by HTC hence AOKP/ASOP ROMs are unable to offer the same camera experience as Sense ROM.
My question is whether the same restrictions apply to a Samsung phone and would I be required to use a touchwiz based rom to best utilise my camera? Or would I be able to get the same camera experience in AOKP/ASOP ROMs.
I did try looking for an answer but was unable to locate one. In the event I missed out on it and end of repeating this question I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately there's not one single AOSP/AOKP rom on the S3 that functions properly due to undocumented Exynos platform and partially working (or not working) hwcomposer. There are always glitches in the camera, when switching front to back and lack of support for modes that you have in stock firmwares like hdr, hires panorama mode etc. Stick to stock if you need your phone's full functionality. If you can live with some basic apps force closing try the newest CM10 nightly you shouldn't be too disappointed.

[Q] Too Many ICS Api's

Hey Xda!
Lately, I have come across some pretty cool apps. Such as SF Launcher Alpha, Action Launcher, Sliding Messages, etc. (which I highly recommend you check out, they are pretty cool), but what do they all have in common? They all require ICS or higher Roms. When I email the developers and ask if they could backport the app, they all say the same thing: "Sorry, I use too many ICS Api's to support Gingerbread". Now, I understand that Gingerbread has limitations, but can these apps really not run on gingerbread devices? I remember a year ago that everyone said that the Apollo music player can not run on gingerbread, but look at it now, it is on gingerbread running perfectly fine. So with that being said, can someone explain to me what developers mean when they say they use too many ICS Api's?
Not trying to step on any ones toes either, just want to know.
Thanks in advance!

Anyone?
it means that they don't have any gingerbread phones to test their app on, or simply because they don't want to provide backward support.

You can try this. Worked for me on several different AOSP and Samsung Touchwiz roms.

I've had trouble using any of the hacked versions consistently (AOSP and TW), but I found an alternative app in the Play store that works really well for me: Enhanced Email. While the Play store version costs $9.99, there is a 7 day trial version available in their forums to see if it meets your needs. The biggest benefit is that you don't need to re-hack the client every time you upgrade your ROM; it "just works" straight from the Play store. I wish it had a tablet layout for my Archos, but other than that it works great.
I am not affiliated with Enhanced Email or its developers in any way!!! I am merely a satisfied customer sharing a potential solution.

I AM the developer of Enhanced Email and just wanted to say my latest beta DOES have tablet layouts. Reach out to me on Google+ and I'll let you into the beta program -> https://plus.google.com/108146741302698907415
