sweet... this is a new year present. thx so much

Thanks. We are very happy with the way the fascinate community supported the ROM. Download for Fascinate tops the chart. When we update the ROM to 4.2 in coming weeks fascinate will be first image we will build.
One thing that puzzled us is nobody has said anything about the ROM. We are yet to receive the first feedback on whether the ROM actually boots or not :silly:

It boots and everything seems to work fine I didn't test very long though because I find the themes to be slim pickings and none too my taste plus DT put out an awesome 4.2 build. Maybe I just couldn't figure out how to access more themes.

We sure have minimalistic themes, colourful themes and many more in progress. Since it is a holiday season things are little slow. We uploaded two themes created us related to christmas season this week. It took a lot of our time as the graphics, icons everything has to be done by us. As we enter the new year we will be porting the MiUi themes which is lot easier and you will see new themes everyday.

OK...after flashing...I get a black screen phone won't boot... kernel issue...so what I did was to reboot into recovery, flash kernel cleaner, then flash siyah 4.33...that worked...
So the kernel included with this ROM needs to be fixed. Other than that so far its nice ROM..

This ROM is awesome!! Ive been using it for over a week and it's so smooth and reliable! One thing I noticed though, when I send an image via text/mms it turns the image sideways. Anyone else having this issue or did I drop my phone one too many times?

Are you taking the pictures in portrait mode or landscape? If you take it in portrait (with the phone upright) it will automatically rotate it.
This ROM looks great but I can't get it to install, I've tried two different kernals and I always get an install aborted. Any idea what I need to change?
Re: [ROM][JB] [4.1.2] Avatar ROM for Samsung Galaxy SII(SGH-I777) - Updated [Jan 12,
Yes that's exactly what's going on, OK must be normal for the ROM. Not a fan of it but I like this ROM so much, others can rotate when they receive it.
Thanks!

After some more testing, looks like a screenshot sent via text/mms sends in portrait mode, but as mentioned above camera photos are sent flipped on their side.
On a sidenote... BT connects almost instantly in my car! Pandora and Music both connect and operate without issues at all! Same goes for BT and wifi tethering which seem to be problematic in some other ROMs.

All custom ROMs set the pic in landscape when the camera is snapped in portrait. Just something we sacrifice to have amazing ROMs like this one! just use camera in landscape mode. :silly:

So you're saying stock roms based on touchwiz don't do this then? As obviously stock firmware isn't considered custom....

very intrigued by this! waiting to hear about stability before I flash
Flashed with 4.2 Gapps & FJ Redux Kernel. Gonna play around with this today and report back any findings.
first of all thank you for this rom. flashed today and so far really enjoying it. will report back later but so far really nice rom.
when someone gets the change If they could comment on bugs, etc.. would be awesome. I'm anxious to flash but don't want to leave the stability I have now unless I'll be staying on this rom
Anyway to pair the MIUI mtz themes with this? Seen a couple I want to use.

First impressions is it is FAST. Have to re backup my previous rom because App Extractor is not pulling my apks for some reason.
When I get everything situated I will give a little pro/cons.
Re: [ROM][JB] [4.1.2] Avatar ROM for Samsung Galaxy Note(quincyatt)
Seems pretty snappy. I like the notification area. Lot like the 4.2 notifications. Running this with stock kernel. Not bad. If I could mash this with aokp settings that would be great hmmm. Understandable that the goal of this ROM is to be minimal with few bugs. Nice work!
Update..notice hw overlays are fixed. I watch a lot of videos. Haven't had any reboots yet. Clean install. Good.

General Info & Introduction
Android Open Source Project: Or in short AOSP. Android is an open-source software stack created for mobile phones and other devices. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP), led by Google, is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. Many device manufacturers have brought to market devices running Android, and they are readibly available around the world.
Rooting: Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem. Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user.

Very very very very nice! I'm an admitted crack flasher (that didn't sound right) and I gotta tell you, my n7 may have found it's forever rom. Congrats on the absolutely stellar work and I love the redone recentest dialog. Does anyone have a suggestion for a kernel or should I just stick with stock? This rom needs more attention!

Working and looking great so far
The only thing which doesn't work is that if I click on either my channel or subscribed channels on YouTube I'll get a FC.
I'm guessing it's a conflict from this ROM somewhere because I tried previous versions of the app, uninstall/reinstall, clear data, reboot etc and the only time it worked was when I went onto different ROMs.
Other than that though, great work

Not seeing the downloads in Chrome although they are present in Firefox and IE.
Beta 3 released, have a look at changelog, flash and please provide an apt feedback (very much appreciated).
:good:
Currently testing out Beta 3 after using Carbon for so long. I gotta hand it to you guys, this is a great ROM and it deserves much more attention! I used Beta 1 when I was just starting to flash ROMs on my Nexus 7, and it was pretty radical!
My only problem is that while using the stock kernel, my battery dropped 9% while just in deep sleep mode from about 11:30 p.m. to 6:10 a.m. yikes! I can't seem to figure out what caused it either.
next rom after cyanogen, ive liked. very solid and high quality thing) want to become your grouper beta tester and can help with translation to Russian language

Description
Vanilla RootBox is built straight from RootBox sources and always carries a very light installation with no extra/useless apps. This means, you can enjoy a pure Android experience combined with AOKP/CM features and some CM cherry-picks. Keep in mind Jelly Bean is only at the beginning stage of development and there will be minor bugs. Every RootBox releases are stable and always up to the challenge for a daily usage. I personally have a high standard when it comes to releases and this is why this project always meets the expectations of users. If you're wondering how this ROM differs from any other AOKP roms out there, I only have one thing to say: Try it yourself and choose the one that meets your requirements.

All hardware keys will be customizable, including the back key. So if you’re looking for “Long press to kill” in ROM Control, it won’t be there anymore because you now have the option of rebinding your back key to anything you want. You will also be able to access RootBox settings as a floating window by pressing the RB toggle. A new battery style has been added (RUSH) so I suggest you try that out along with PINK halo background for the ladies. Enjoy this nightly and expect a stable release in the next day or two.

This nightly will include several new features such as PA Hybrid Toggle and new colour options for HALO. I also merged back the option to completely disable HALO. HDPI devices (i9100/i9100g) will have their HALO icons bigger than usual since we didn’t add HDPI support for the new HALO colours.
