FREE LG Optimus G (?) Unlock Code - AT&T LG Optimus G

http://freemyblackberry.com/other-phone-brands.php
People have gotten their codes, but dunno if it works or not yet. I just submitted my IMEI. Let's hope it works!

Thanks for this but I am just paranoid. What and how much damage can someone do if they had bad intentions and had our IMEI?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

They can't do **** with your imei other than temporarily spoofing it.

it seems that AT&T has to give your unlock code for free after 90days (with some exceptions). there's even a way to request it from your login on their website.

The only reason we don't give it generally after 90 days is because there is a past due balance for the most part.

In my case, i paid full price up front for my LGOG on launch day. Called AT&T customer service a few days later, said i wanted the subsidiary lock code. CS opened a case with AT&T National Unlock Team. Faxed them my name, mobile number and case number. Had my unlock code 48 hours later, at no cost. Using my OG on T-mobile 4g at the moment and getting10-12mb down, 1.5-2.5mb up, plus better battery life to boot!

I used this site before on a 9700 that I used to have. Personally, I trust it.

Free code worked on my Telus unit ...
I just thought I'd let everyone know that I submitted my request a couple of days ago, and today got the unlock codes.
It worked perfectly on my Telus unit ... and, yes, it was FREE.

Just put in a request as well, thank you.
I noticed the OP hasn't gotten any thanks for this yet, if it worked for you I'm sure he would appreciate it.
Just saying.

Odd, I just put in a request to this site, and a few minutes later got and email from them simply saying, "Please stop trying to bypass our security."
I have no idea what this means. I wasn't trying to bypass anything, nor would I even know how. I responded to their email, and will keep you all updated if I hear back from them.

$550. But I went from spending over $100/mo on AT&T to $45/mo on StraightTalk, so I'll recoup the cost in 8 months. That's how I sold it to my wife anyway.

Update: I just got my code, it only took them 2 days. It worked like a charm! Well, the OG said it unlocked successfully, I haven't tested it yet. I have my work phone with me from T-mobile. I guess I'll give that a shot.

Did you just pay $8 for yours (i717R)? I used the link provided, but the price it was asking is $24.99 for my AT&T SGN i717 4G LTE...
I used their service (www.cellunlocker.net) - worked fine for me. $33 to unlock a Bell Note. To be safe, use PayPal rather than a credit card.
I dont get it... Why are they able to do it, and we're not able to do it ? It's not like they have magical ties with the manufacturers?
Must be some application that computes the unlock code...

How to know your note is brand new and not refurb

ideas.............
It's too new for there to be refurbished devices in stock. So new, in fact, that a customer with an online ordered phone who came into our store last week was told that in order to get a warranty-provided phone, they'd have to place a $650 hold on a credit card till they received the defective phone.

The problem I have now is to determine whether or not I actually want to pay for a device which yet has root and whose boot loader will likely remained locked..

Is this code directly through Verizon?
At BestBuy
Placed an order for it online at 9:30am this morning with in-store pickup.
Picked up mine SM-N900VZKE (made in china) at 10:30am at local BB store in Queens NY. Since I am keeping my unlimited data plan I've paid full retail price ($799.99) online then called BB Mobile and asked them to price match it with VZW. They verified thet the price listed on VZN is $699.99 and just credited me back $100.
I also tried to use Verizon30 code on verizonwireless dot com but it didn't work, at least for off-contract phone.
So far I like the phone. I can tell you that the screen is definitely brighter than the one on N2 (which was my primary complaint) and I feel that the sound volume is lower than on old phone. It is 13g lighter than N2 but the speakerphone is not as good.
Now all I need is a root

Reported Stolen G2 which was purchased on Swappa

So here is the long story short, I bought a Verizon lg g2 back in November 2013. 4 days ago my phone stopped picking up service after I put my sim back in it from the gs3 (my g2 had died that's why I switched to my gs3). I called Verizon to see what was going on, they told me they didn't know. They asked where did I purchase the phone I told them and then they said that the phone was reported stolen on a fraudulent account. So my Question is is there any place I can sell my phone to try to get something back for it?

You might want to try unlocking it and use another carrier. Who ever sold you was probably doing insurance fraud. But usually when a phone is locked like that its only locked to the carrier. I had a S4 locked for tmobile. I unlocked it and used ATT . couldnt use tmobile no more

If this guy knowingly sold you a phone he has or had reported stolen then you do have a solid leg to stand on. I would begin with you local law enforcement. IMEI numbers, IP Addresses and subpoenas to devuldge info on the Swappa users account will gain them all the info they need to proceed with filing charges. What's even better is I'm assuming most likely the phone you bought came from out of state so crossing a state line now opens the door for federal statutes. You might be surprised how willing and eager your local law enforcement might be to handle this for you, especially if you have your ducks in a row and necessary info on hand prior to your meeting with them.

Swappa checks all of the IMEI's to make sure they're clean as well, but from what Krazie1 is saying it sounds like the phone he bought was reported after he bought and activated it. Even Verizon would have told him it was clean.

Yah, I'm very well aware that Swappa checks the imei# for each listing. Plus, I understand what krazie1 has stated about the phone being reported stolen. I'm not doubting the phone was reported stolen. I'm just saying that, if you just slip your SIM card into the phone that's not yours I'd feel there's greater risk then if you take it to Verizon. I know I'd have a better chance of having the situation resolved if I took my phone to them. Especially, after it was reported stolen well over thirty days. The part that is unsettling to me is that the phone was new. I sell and buy often on Swappa so I'm not happy to hear about krazie1's situation. The seller has sold over a hundred phones. I feel, if I went to Verizon, I'd keep bugging them because of the situation. If I just slipped my SIM card in then I'd feel like I didn't have a chance. That's just my thoughts.

Gotcha -- you're saying that if they are the ones who give the all clear you have a leg to stand on later if the IMEI gets blocked. That makes sense.
