No, when it comes to modding and theming your Phone not everything can be done with a simple app.

You can change or modify your defaultthemes.apk in system/app

How to install?
its an update.zip file install it via xrecovery.
Why Update.zip ?
Because i modified Conversations.apk also, which changes theme for message (Refer 6th and 7th Screenshots)
If you want to go back to orginal then install BackToOrginal.zip via xrecovery> download here
Old Version of BlackFramework Click Here
Do not use this theme for Build no 2.1.1.A.0.6

Original Sony Ericsson Style on cyanogen mod!

Is it possible to make a cyanogen mod rom look like the sony ericsson original rom???
Yes, it's possible. But it is the hard work. Would you do it?
i'm not a developer so i can't do it!
it's a good idea though!
why should someone want to do that? if they like SE then they should stick to SE
I like that beacause i want froyo with sony ericsson original style!!!
+1 for the idea. I also wanna use a newer ROM with the same SE style.
Hmmm... satya164, I agree with you

I tried to replace the framework-res.apk, but my phone stuck on the boot animation!
The filenames are not all the same in framework, but with some renaming the original SE files according to cyanogen ones should work.
I have returned to original SE ROM because the cyonagen is soo ugly, stock android is bad for our small screens. The most visible is at top bar where on SE everithing is big and clear (hour, batery stat, wi-fi and other simbols) and on cyonagen bareley you could see something.
Until now I replaced the small and blurry font with Sony fonts. Maybe when 2.3.3 finaly will be bugfree and fully functional I will work on this.
My experience is with cyonagen 7 (2.3.3)

Guys stop speculating or giving out wrong info...
Try swapping images in the framework-res.apk and not the framework-res.apk
Well it is possible to change framework-res.apk but you willcertainly need to swap a ****load of stuff.
Pushing framwork.jarm android-testrunner alot of libs.
In the end the question is will you lose the changes from the newer version an in the end endup with the same old crap again

is it too difficult? or do you just use say, Font Changer, with the font files?
if so, can you point me to a download link for the fonts?
+ 1
i also want that
It is possible. Did some mod just now. And notification icon works. And some system apps icon. Some frame and kinda looks like x10 mini. Then killed my sister's android after some more mods.

I have no stock rom anymore, so I could not confirm if it works. At least it sounds plausible.
lolz, u noob
LOL at second post
Maybe if look in framework res folder and find the background image, you can replace it with your own (remember to keep the same file name and resolution). Sounds kinda difficult though.

There're 285 files in framework-res. Could you point exactly which of them can provide CRT effect?

Can someone post the framework-res.apk from the 2.3.3 Ray generic rom, please?
I have 2.3.4 on my ray, so this is the reason why I'm asking for it.

You "moved the whole folder "anim" in framework-res from 4.0.2.A.0.42 firmware" from the new version which doesen't even have the old CRT anim to what? replace the same framework?
You'll have to grab it through rootexplorer OR follow AND read the link provided for you and change "config_animateScreenLights" and change the "true" to "false" or corresponding line of text. I'm not sure if SE has the exact same line of text and I doubt it.

Sure, I'm downgraded becuase the old CRT gives me more joy than a 3d camera and no 3d-tv haha
Any specific site?
config_animateScreenLights in 4.0.2.A.0.42 FW is already in state false!
seatone, you can get it in your own, just follow this instruction.

I have replace the framework-res.apk and know i experiencing boot loop. Is there anyway that i can fix this?
If someone manage to replace the CRT-anim from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 could you please upload it or send me an PM because I can't for the love of it get a grip on push/pull with APK or ABK and what not?

SEUS usaully fix the bootlooping..
Haven't decision of this problem? Replace the "framework-res" doesn't help.
We need to find the file that is responsible for the CRT animation and then copy that into the framework.
I can do that if i can find the file that dose the crt animation!
CRT animation is built-in into Android since 2.3 I believe, there is no GIF animation file or something. It's a pity SE disabled that. For example, CRT animation could be enabled/disabled in CM-based ROM-s from the Menu.
Yeah you have to copy framework—res from your 2.3.4 unpack it and locate the anim, change it with notepad from true to false or vice verse. Then repack the framework and paste it with rootexplorer/push it back to system.

[Q] 2011 xperia's stock launcher?

Hi Guys!
I was thinking that the stock launcher of 201 xperia's is really cool. I really like the feature that allows you to put 4 app icons into the corners. A friend of mine when took a look at my xperia mini pro sad that too. He was interested in the stock launcher. So is earched for it , do anyone know if it is possible to install the same launcher on other phones? It would be nice to "extract" the .apk of the stock launcher
Thanks in advance for you answers
Yes it's possible, just extract the Home.apk and HomePreferences.apk and push it to the other device. Should work
To pull it do it via a file explorer or use adb
Code:
adb pull /system/app/
and the name of the apk :good:
I tried to use it on a different firmware, on my old days when I start to mess with my phone. It was CM10 but It did not work.
But there are modified home launchers that should work.
Look in the apps section for sejar's thread.

Yes, you copy them from /system/app (I guess you need root in some explorers to do that) to your sdcard, mount the phone to your pc and copy them from your phone to your pc
Or you just use adb pull. You just have to set up adb on your pc (android-sdk) and type
Code:
adb pull /system/app
and you've got the whole system/app folder. Now you can take the Home.apk and HomePreferences.apk and try them on another phones. Sometimes it works on different phones, sometimes not. I guess it depends on the other phone
