Clockworkmod v6.0.1.5 non-touch for protou 30/12/12 - HTC Desire X

I've searched very hard to find a recovery for my new phone, but there is not many options. So I managed to build one myself, fixed the fb shifting and did some modifications for convenience.
Hope it will be useful, and thanks to the CWM team.
----------------------------------------------------------------
It seems the raw emmc partition is protected by the kernel, so the update.zip which has a boot.img inside won't fully applied. You have to drag the img out and flash it via hboot mode(unlock required).
I wonder if android devices all protect their raw partitions, or just desire x does.
Anyway, here is a new build of CWM, with a tiny fix of usb lun file mismatch( not sure if it fix the usb mount issue, need someone with a otg cable to test). A patch file of CWM v6.0.1.5 is uploaded too, check to see if it helps.

3. copy and paste the renamed file in this location (where you extracted AIO Tool)

Has anyone tested it?

Works for me.
No more screen jumps.
Made a backup (tar format), removed an app, then restored. Worked as expected.

i am still on stock, but i have downloaded the attachment and am really eager to un-stock. haha

Glad it works for you. It's no big deal, just a small bug fix.
In fact, I'm pretty new to android. Still adapting to this new phone, also trying to make it better.

I can confirm this but it didn't work on Llior's recovery either.
Anyway back-up and restore works just fine (without having to manually create md5) and it looks slick. Good job!

Guys, i posted a test build of touch recovery in dev section. It works but has the display shift bug. @ OP, i need your help to fix the display bug, and then look into the usb mount issue. All credits to OP, Lloir and Koush, i just followed a tutorial.

[KITCHEN] Basic ROM Kitchen for aspiring Nexus One cooks [PC/MAC]

Hi guys,
Over at the HTC Hero forum I have been developing a kitchen to help ordinary people learn how to build their own ROM. Recently, I purchased a Nexus One, and so I was able to port this kitchen so that it can now successfully create a rooted Nexus One custom ROM.
The kitchen works for the Nexus One but is still found at the HTC Hero Android Development subforum, so I'll probably get someone to move it to a common forum eventually:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
Enjoy!
WOW, thanks, cant wait to try

No problem, I'm trying to get Wi-fi tethering working as well, as the Nexus One requires some additional steps to get it to work. I asked in the Wireless Tether thread.. maybe someone knows?
I'm going to check this out, may be just what I needed
Wow thanks a lot, very kind of you to do this! Setting up now
Ok, I have now updated the kitchen to version 0.20, so that Nexus One owners can now cook in the Wireless Tether. As you might know already, for the Nexus One the wireless tethering app requires a kernel modification (which is kind of complicated for the Average Joe), so the kitchen does all that for you automatically. I just used the modified kernel that is provided in the Wireless Tether project page.
ROM ROM ROM ya boot..
Works really well, although it might be better (under OSX) to make the disk bigger than 500mb.
I found the simplest way to use the soylatte java was to extract it, put it on my Kitchen disk and then simply modify the menu by adding
Code:
PATH=/Volumes/Kitchen/soylatte16-i386-1.0.3/bin/:$PATH
at the top. Saves screwing up any other java dev work going on
Tested it with a Nexus One Cyanogen rom, works nicely for stripping out stuff I don't want and adding what I do.
Good Job. Thanks!

worked nicely for me too. set up a virtual machine on my macbook and loaded latest ubuntu plus jdk. ...changed splash ...stripped an apk ...added in motoapps for exchange calendar ...added a wifi tether direct instead of tool ...dropped in a few extra media sound files. the output zip flashed no problem and all tweaks (through very-very minor) working.
it would be appreciated if any more resource links exist other than those already in first post of thread. i'd like to learn more
yeah,this thing works(on mac).
but i wish we have a tutorial to cook a rom,(kernel).

I don't think the Nexus One has the storage capacity to flash a Desire ROM - has been mentioned in this forum in some threads. You have to take stuff out to save space.

ahaq is this your guide as I notice your name appears to bear some relationship to the writer's ?
The moboot is outdated , the rom and gapps should be renamed to begin update- then they won't need to be installed after boot.
Not sure about using a Rom that the developer has said will not be regularly updated and doesn't actually include camera and gallery .
I hope the writer of the article got oats permission to use his Rom and links.
Otherwise a well written piece .

I've only been able to find version 3.5 of moboot is there a updated version? What should we be renaming the files too BTW?
I'm hoping that all the fixes goes into a Official Nightly Build so we can download and upgraded as needed.

If your installing via your recovery cwm or TWRP you don't need to rename anything it's only necessary when using acme and a cminstall folder.

I am not saying it's a bad rom, just oats has said it won't be updated unless there are major changes. There are several different Roms in the developer's section . You should try them for yourself but I would suggest that unless you put links to the developer's thread that you are best of using ones that updates can easily be checked for with something like Goo Manager .
One question from me when I right click on my Palm ,Inc folder I do not see an option for command prompt ,how do I enable it running Windows 8?(Solved )
Reread your post ,neat trick .

U mean the path "/system/lib", right?
I have found 4 files (below) which contain "camera" in their names, but just have no idea to add into apk file.
Is there any possibility to the files that don't contain "camera", but are relative to the camera?

Once you find out the dependent files (Re-read the guide) you take these files and package them in CWM flashable .zip not necessarily adding them into the apk file.

Oh, really? That's kinda nice, although yeah the depth-of-field working would sure be nice. I'll have to try it out tonight. I can just use the .apk from the OP, correct?
Well I tried installing that .apk from the OP. Had to allow installation from unknown sources first, then after hitting Install, it asked me to give Google permission to send data and whatever else. Regardless if I select Accept or Decline, I always get an "App not installed" message.
Damnit, I was looking forward to using it! I think I'm gonna try stripping it from the stock ROM myself.

Alrighty, thanks. I actually was searching for PixelMaster .apk this weekend but didn't have much luck besides seeing a ton of frickin spam sites masking as legit .apk download sites. I'll do another search tonight.
Hopefully I can get the .apk to install. It sure would be nice to have the depth-of-field working, but after skimming through that thread linked earlier (How to Port OEM Apps to Your Current ROM) there's no way I can follow that. It's nice the guy put together a guide, but being unfamiliar with this stuff I need to follow something written in clear English.
I guess the ASUS Camera app was easier to find than I thought. The first time I tried it was nothing but spam site after spam site. Maybe it was Bing's fault, haha.
But I got version 2.0.0.150805_5 and it installed with no problem and works great. Thanks for your help, ejames2001, I appreciate it.

Android Recovery was powerfull framework. Anyway it was agony when it come to dealing with your filesystem
Anyway now AROMA Filemanager is accessible for everybody to do this normal tasks.

Sure I would edit OP right away.
no offense, but..
it would be right and respectfull if you put the download link of the original developer's storage, istead of your mirror personal link..
plus, adding the statement on top, that this is not the original dev..
so that, if some one asking for feature or maybe bugfix, they will go to the right thread..
and one more.. this is an "original android development" sub-forum.. so it must be the original dev..
thanks n regard..

Mate 20 X EVR-AL00 Debloat via Flashable ZIP

I am making good progress with a flashable ZIP file that can be flashed using the diagnostic factory mode. The ZIP takes a current EMUI ROM base and debloats it removing Chinese langauge apps and unnecessary Huawei branding. Useful frameworks such as Motion, Gestures, AoD, etc. are retained. Going forward I plan to develop the solution further so that you will be able to modify a customisable config file that will specify what packages you want to retain, and select a downloaded EMUI ROM for the device that will be customised as per your instruction , resulting in a ZIP file being pushed to your device and you then simply need to reboot and allow the phone to flash the update. Simple ! Therefore, each time a new stock ROM is released then this tool simply needs to be run against your customisation !
Development so far-
1. I now have a method of entering the hidden factory mode allowing a ZIP package to be flashed from internal storage , so you can simply download the ZIP to your Download folder and flash from there.
2. I have a method of saving an OTA to file.
3. I have identified the ROM GPT for the device and all partitions and sequencing; this allows me to extract all partitions contained within an Huawei ROM.
4. I am currently interrogating a sample Huawei patch ROM to discern the method of patching filesystems - which i determined is basically is an overlay of the filesystem. This makes things easy as it allows a reverse image creation from a stock partitions minus bloat removed.
5. Next step is to attempt creation of a simple patch ROM using analysis obtained from 1-4 above, and trial this out on my device. This will involve CSC and SHA256RSA creation and will need to determine a method for this. Following that I need to consolidate everything into a script. Going even further, I plan to develop a GUI app which will aid N00bs
6. Following trials I will publish the ROM and instructions with sources so that anyone in the community can examine if they so desire.
* ALL WITHOUT ROOT *
HELP NEEDED:
Anyone with a rooted device , and able to "adb root" into their device as "root" , please PM me as i could do with information that you can obtain a lot easier than I can.
Great work
Waiting for the file
?
Sorry I'm not rooted ?
Update: Rooted if need any adb feedback per OP. I haven't TWRP'd and re-ROM'd but I'm going to go back update 195 and repatch. Each time is a big hassle (just remembering steps).
I think this is great. I can probably give a hand Fri afternoon.

Sounds quite promising but, just to be clear, do you need an unlocked bootloader to do this?

Hi. I hope you are correct! Just don't see anything explicitly said about bootloader. Only says you don't need root. Would be neat if this approach could be used to rebrand phone.
Any progress?
Looks like this didn't get to far because of the 195 update?

I PM'd you shortly after you started this thread offering my help since I have a rooted AL00. The memory card is Huawei proprietary card called NM Card (nano memory card - SD card the same size as nano SIM card) here's a link for them at Amazon (not an affiliate link) https://www.amazon.com/Huawei-Memory-Mirco-Compact-Flash/dp/B07KS8JBFH and they are quite expensive compared to micro sd cards.

Sorry about some folks being rude. You see it at times but I was surprised when I read it. Regardless, your finding is interesting. Where is the hidden menu you can use to flash a zip from? I wasn't planning on getting a nano sim because they are pricey. But if it is possible to do as you say I'll provably get one. Is there also an option to flash zip from file on computer? Thanks for your efforts!

Fully understand your viewpoint but please take into account that the insensitive and pointless posts made by some here do not reflect or represent the majority view of forum members.
Please let me know as well, your hard work is truly appreciated.

You can use an USB OTG and a usb stick. Works with the hidden menu trick thing. They can be found for pretty cheap price

OP and his disciples fled after being offended. I believe they followed the OnePlus rainbow hand in hand.
