Isn't it like jb 4.2 keyboard?

yes and No
the Note 2 keyboard has the number on top of the Keyboard which is something i like most about the keyboard
4.2 keyboard has built in swype tho which is a plus

So does the stock Samsung keyboard for Note 1. What's different?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium

I've been looking for it as well... it has built in swype just like the JB keyboard plus the numbers in the top from the Samsung keyboard and automatic s pen detection.

Please do!!! I found a zip for the S3. I tried flashing it but no luck.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium

A good remedy in the meantime could be lowering the longpress time to 200 - 300 ms on swiftkey flow.
You get the swype feature and the numbers on top with a very short long press. Kinda ironic.
Works for me!

I'm going to take a look at the ATT & TMO stock ROMs to see if I can get this running on the NOTE1.
There is an old thread that lists the following as dependencies for the Chinese keyboard:
/system/app/SamsungIME.apk
/system/lib/libhandwritelib.so
/system/lib/libjni_secime.so
/system/lib/libXT9.so
/system/lib/libXt9core.so
The lib files for the version of MyScript used on the NOTE 2 keyboard are located at:
/system/lib/libMyScriptEngine.so
/system/lib/libMyScriptEquation.so
/system/lib/libMyScriptHWR.so
/system/lib/libMyScriptShape.so
/system/lib/libMyScriptSolver.so
Of these '/system/lib/libMyScriptHWR.so' is the most likely dependency for the keyboard. The other libs are most likely SNote/SMemo related.

I was able to get the new Android keyboard (JB_MR1) working on the Stock ROM by completely uninstalling the old one then installing the new via TB. It didn't work for me by simply updating the new on top of the old.

IDK if this is what you are looking for, but number 7 works for our phone also!!!

[Mod]Samsung keyboard on CM9 or Aokp

Looked through multiple threads found nothing, asked questions annoyingly and didn't get an answer. So this is my last choice sorry.
I want to run Samsungs ics keyboard on CM9. I try to install it and get "application not installed"
So then placed it in /system/app and the ticked rw-r-r and then restarted Samsung keyboard not to be found.
So what am I missing? CM9 and Sammy roms incompatible with Samsung keyboard app? Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks!

You are on an AOSP based rom and do not have the framework setup for a Samsung based rom.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda premium
Yes, but does the Samsung keyboard rely on Samsung framework? Or can it be installed stand alone like some of the Samsung apps

If you installed the AxT9IME.apk (the Samsung keyboard apk) in your CM9 app folder and it doesn't work, then it must rely on the Samsung framework.
Otherwise, what is so special about the Samsung keyboard other than a dedicated ".com" key?
What? Like /system/app folder or am I missing another location. The Samsung keyboard is nice for my fingers and I just like it a lot more than the stock keyboard.

Of course, system/app folder....that's the place.
I'm on SHOstock2 now after being on both CM9 and AOKP for the longest time. Keep an eye on that thread for a possible move if the Samsung keyboard won't work for you. It is a North American Samsung i9100 ICS rom (ported to i777) with a solid, experienced dev.

[Q] Spell check with underline

Hi,
Has anyone managed to get the standard ICS spell checker with red underline working? I know now that CM9 etc are out I could install one of these roms to get it, but I currently still like TW.
I found this thread relating to achieving this on the SGS2 but nothing similar for the SGS3.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

I actually love the original HTC keyboard. Once I got used to having the arrows I didn't know how I ever got along without them. I recently flashed over to Liquid ICS a few days ago and were missing them. Try downloading SwiftKey 3 and giving that a go (go into the options to enable the arrows). I find this keyboard to be PRETTY similar to the HTC one, although there are differences. I'm liking it so far.
It will probably need some tweaking then. I noticed newt said it would need to be ported to work.

Thanks will be trying this once I get the ROM finally working right. My old HTC IME keyboard I used on CM7 ( a themed htc sense keyboard from a dev here) was still in my settings when I flashed the ICS rom (think I missed something) and would pop up and work for the first two keystrokes before it crashed. I have looked at every keyboard out there and still prefer the HTC one over all else (just works for me). If I can get the ROM working correctly I will try out the one you posted here thanks!

I605VRALL4 Multi-view?

I am running the VRALL4 Stock Rooted and De-Odex'ed rom from Scrosler. So far, its a great rom, I haven't really had any problems with it. Except I cannot figure out how to enable all apps in multi-view with a De-Odex'ed rom. I absolutely love this feature and would really like to get it back. Is there any way to do that on this rom? Or am I going to be forced into a different rom?

I tried this. It seems that because the rom is De-odex'ed, this doesnt work. There is nothing to replace when I copy the files to their appropriate folders because all .odex files have been removed.
@1ManWolfePack
I did not find this app installed on the rom. I went and found it here on XDA. I tried installing just the app, it seems to function however, the apps in the multi-view bar are not changed at all. I also tried flashing the framework files..... that resulted in a bootloop and I had to restore to before I flashed the framework file.
Thank you guys for helping me! Any other suggestions that I could try?

Sorry about the boot loop. This will give you that app and unlock the multi view tab, but you'll be transparent:

Dirty flash your rom afterwards to lose the transparency but retain features. I believe that's how I did it. Lol.

Look in Scott's "Recently Archived Builds" link on his website. You can get the 1.0 SE there. Doubt there is further support since he archived it but really... anything that is missing in the Vzw 1.0 light can be found elsewhere. At least this way you have an option to have it or not.
Also, that is the LJB build, the new one is based of the new OTA, LL4, and new bootloader. I have the new bootloader and won't trust mixing the two.

[MOD] disable/enable capacitive buttons

very simple mod very simple op
*** THIS IS FOR THE CAP BUTTONS - Menu - Home - Back - Search - not for nav bar ***
since the new cm rebase kernel was pushed some things have changed.
my old enable/disable no longer works on the new rebase so here is the new zips
should work on all cm/aosp based 4.2.2 and 4.3 roms
disable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/13402-disable-capacitive-buttons-new-jd81
enable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/13403-enable-capacitive-buttons-new-jd81
for 4.1.2 roms use
disable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/639-disable-capacitive-buttons-jd81-zip
enable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/640-enable-capacitive-buttons-jd81-zip
just flash in recovery and reboot *put both zip's on your phone* flash disable and reboot, if you dont like it then flash enable and go on with your day
if this zip doesnt work for you *ie buttons still work after reboot* well then you dont have the proper rom,
either go on with your day or
-open a file manager
-go to /system/usr/keylayout
-delete the file sec_touchkey.kl
-reboot and go on with your day
Nice! Thanks Jamie, will definitely come in handy for me Pie/Nav bar addition!

To turn off capacitive button lights:
1. Download a file manager with root access. I used Root Browser.
2. Go to system/lib/hw
3. Find the file named 'lights.msm8660.so'
4. Rename it to anything such as "lights.msm8660.so.old"
5. Reboot.
