[ROM] I8190XXALL2_I8190TCLALL4_HOME_Rooted 4.1.1 (for VODAFONE PT users) - Galaxy S III Mini Android Development

Hi i followed "faria" tutorial in how to add root to a stock firmware, and came up with this rom. Im a Vodafone user and this rom has lots of features for Vodafone Portugal users...
This rom is based on I8190XXALL2 I8190TCLALL4 Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and will not increase your download binary count. Also doesn't wipe your data, but i think its best to backup your apps/data, and do a full flash/wipe with Odin. You need WIPE_I8190. The download link is below.
You have to put your phone in download mode so you can flash this rom. Download mode is achieved by pressing "Volume Down"+"Home"+Power Button" and then "Volume Up"...
I used Odin v3.04. Select "PDA" and indicate the path to the rom. Press "Start" and wait until its finished flashing.

I tested it on my i8190 and its working like a charm...

Nice to see more development
I would love to try it, but just upgraded to 4.1.2
Now just waiting to overclock mwhaaaaaa

Here is a hint, download my 4.1.2 rom, extract the system image ,replace yourSystem.img with mine in the kitchen, this way you will have a 4.12 rom with the vodafone stuff
Carrier stuff is stored in the cache.image.

Thanks faria! going to try that tonight..!

I stopped developing for i8190... I'm on a i9100 now, and going to dedicate my self to develop for it.
Many thanks for downloading my ROM's.
Don't forget to say thanks !!

Going back to basic(s)....

Hi everybody.
I have rooted my phone , by pushing CWM.zip + SU+busybox.zip to my sdcard and installed those 2.
I have then installed various ROMS.
I have tried :
[ROM][4.1.1][JB] R25's JB AOKP Preview Builds 5.1 [16/8/12] -1st JB AOKP ROM *UPDATE*
[Rom]GT-I9100 Resurrection Remix JB v3.0.4[16/08][AOKP JB PRE](AROMA+OTA)
both very nice ROMS worked 100% thanks to developers.
But now I really need help going back to the state when I bought it.
The important letters I think is XXLPS these letter I have now.
And this letters was there before root and ROM installation. XWLPG.
I am located in Norway.
Please help.
I am guessing I have to do something in Odin and have read what to do there. But
I am not sure which and what file to flash with it. Can anyone help.
Currently running 4.1.1 on Resurrection Remix.
Want to go back to the start.
I have only followed instructions when I rooted phone and installed ROM so I haven't got so much clue what do to reverse it.
Kindly regards
Vidar.

Well first of visit www.sammobile.com and go to firmware then choose appropriate firmware (4.0.3 recommended) then download triangle away and reset flash counter. This will wipe away any evidence that you ever rooted your phone! After that enter download mode and flash the .tar file you got from sammobile, using odin, simply plug in your phone, click PDA and choose the file you got and press start. After that's done reboot to recovery and wipe data/factory reset. There! your phone is now like you just bought it!

UPDATE-
I flashed a 613 MB big file I9100XWLPG_I9100XXLPX_I9100NEELP4_HOME.tar.md5 via ODIN in download mode.
Rebooted and cleared cache and dalvik + factory reset.
Now my phone is like untouched. I have never had any yellow triangles, but shall I do anything with the "Flash Counter Reset " ? It says only for experts My phone is now back to 4.0.3. ICS and I had 4.1.1 JB Resurrection Remix.
You can check your flash counter by booting into download mode and checking custom binary, if it says no then all evidence that you ever rooted your phone has gone!

help please

Hi
please help
I just flashed a new stock ROM for my gs2g device with the latest 4.0.4 pakistan vesion (jplp9) using Mobile Odin Pro (latest version) after installing it is stock in the green android logo and after rebooting it does not start up. by pressing the power button or plugging the charger again it goes to the green android picture and allows me 5 choices: including reboot, wipe data, wipe chache.my previous firmware was 2.3.6 jplc1 rooted with streetware kernel. I tried to post at the i9100g part of the forum but the forum didn't permit posting there.
What should I do now?!
You should try to perform update via Odin if you were on GB. Mobile odin doesn't flash bootloader.
But in the recovery which is open as you described try to wipe/factory reset and check if this helped. If not you should use Odin and flash stock firmware first.

(Flashing these ROMs COULD (and usually will) trigger the custom counter)
If your phone's custom status is still stock (counter zero), and you would like to tryout a custom firmware, then note that there are ways to flash a custom configuration without triggering the counter. One (free) method requires flashing a pre-rooted stock image and then flashing the custom boot and/or recovery images manually (not involving Odin)

GT-I9210 Based MF1 Stock Root Ready
This version is based on stock GT-I9210 MF1. You can toggle root/unroot state by pressing VolumeUp/VolumeDown/Power simultaneously and wait for 3 to 5 seconds for the rooting mechanism to initiate and complete... there is a full screen visual indication. When unrooting, it will fully unroot the phone and also remove the Superuser app. This firmware comes in handy for anyone who needs to run root-shy apps on their phone (for example banking apps). USB Debugging nust be enabled in the Developer Options settings menu.
This image includes all European display languages and Korean as the only Asian language (so NO chinese, thai, japanese, etc...). HK/TW chinese IME is included as well. NFC, S-Beam and other goodies all seem to work correctly too.

Flashing with Odin
Prerequisites:
- PC with Windows installation (preferably some recent Windows version like Windows 7)
- Download Kies from Samsung's website and install it, we will need some of the drivers that come with it
- Start Kies and make sure to disable automatic start up when connecting to a Samsung phone
(Tools->Preferences)
- An original Samsung usb cable (people have reported experiencing problems with third party and other cheap cables)
- Download Odin here...
- Download latest (pre-rooted/unmodified) samsung/SKT stock rom; you need to have an Odin flashable .tar or .tar.md5 file, so if that was packed in another type of archive in your download, then unpack it.
- Make backups of all your important stuff (pictures etc...)
Flashing:
- start Odin
- turn the phone off and start it in Download mode
do this by pressing Volume-Down/Home/Power simultaneously until the Download startup screen appears,
then immediately press Volume-Up to confirm
- connect your phone with the usb cable
wait for the drivers to initialize and for Odin to recognize the phone
you will know when Odin displays a COM port # in the ID:COM section and 'Added' in the Message box
- In Odin ONLY select 'Auto Reboot' and 'F. Reset Time', all other options remain UNCHECKED
- In Odin select 'PDA' and browse to and select the .tar or .tar.md5 ROM file
- click on Start, sit back and wait for the flashing procedure to complete... the phone will then reboot
(don't touch the phone and don't touch the usb cable... the connector(s) on my cable are starting to wear out and because of that, if I accidentally touch it during the flashing process, nine out of ten times, it will cause the process to fail)
I recommend resetting the phone to factory defaults after flashing any major release bump, you can do this from within Android in the Settings->Backup and reset menu, or from within Recovery. To enter Recovery, turn off the phone, then press Volume-Up/Volume-Down/Power simultaneously until you see the Samsung logo, once the Samsung logo appears only release the Power button and keep the Volume buttons pressed until the Recovery menu shows... the menu is self-explanatory (navigate with Volume buttons and select with Power button)
Some people will recommend using ClockworkMod's Recovery. It requires one time use of Odin to flash a custom Recovery partition which offers a more extensive set of commands to flash and change parts of the phone's configuration. Currently there's recovery options from CWM (both key and touch versions) and TWRP (touch version).
If you make mistakes, you can potentially soft-brick your phone (or if the (custom) ROM is dodgy). Don't worry though, as long as the phone's Bootloader partition is NOT touched, then you will always be able to recover with Odin.
Warning!
Do not use PIT files unless you know what you are doing. If you use incorrect PIT files to flash an image, you can potentially hard-brick your phone!
Good luck!
PS. If you've done all of the above (correctly) and you are still running into problems, post your queries in this thread or send me a PM... always glad to help.
Good. Thank for all the efford you put to reupload the rom. (bow)

All factory and pre-rooted stock ROMs can be flashed.
The Custom ROM section contains references that were collected from other threads; these ROMs are supposed to be for the SHV-E110S as well, but I have no personal experience with them.
As far as 80 character sms limit, the stock ROMs have this limitation to date. It is an ongoing issue being looked into. The AOKP and CM custom ROMs do not have this limit, but may exert some anomalies that you may or may not be willing to put up with.
What is the current firmware version on your device?
Revert from CM10 to stock rom via Odin?
Salut, davidcsv.
I'm currently using CM10 flashed via CWM recovery. Now I want to back your UH31 stock rom.
Can I flash directly stock rom via Odin?? Or I have to manipulate with CWM recovery?
Another question if anyone has answer. I found that there is an EU version of this model GT-I9210 (portugal and sweden). Anybody tried these rom on SHV-E110S? Essentially, I need French language & MMS...
Or, maybe stock UH31 prerooted + message apk and keyboard.apk from i9210 rom...

Enter odin download mode on the phone with voldwn/home/power three button procedure and flash a complete ROM image like for example the stock UH31 with Odin. After flashing, enter the stock recovery and wipe cache and reset to factory defaults... That should revert your phone back to a stock condition.
The GT-I9210's latest ICS ROM is based on a slightly older release of ICS. After tweaking the system partition size I managed to get it working on my SHV-E110S... But sound wasn't working and there was an annoying popup msg about battery being disconnected when it was plugged in with usb. I am currently exploring other options but need a little bit nore time. The message apk will not work on UH31 because SKT managed to somehow alter the framework to shun messaging apps other than their own... I am also looking into this at the moment.

Thanks a lot for many informations!!
I supposed that sound may not work with I9210 rom, coz I saw a message of I9210 owner on another thread told that his I9210 with E110S custom rom had sound problem...
SKT use their own message system in Korea, maybe they managed system as you told... In korean forum, someone told about message app had language code problem. SKT doesn't use Unicode system.. Look about it if you didn't yet.
I'm totaly newbie, so I may have to wait your developpment..
And, when you managed the message work, plz add also EU language+samsung keyboard if possible.. That will be so cool.. :good:
Have a nice Weekend!

If you can enter Download mode, then you should be fairly safe. Yeah, flash the latest rom and then enter recovery mode to wipe the cache and reset to factory defaults.

i got one more problem. powering it on does not do anything, no vibrate no anything,
i did not yet flash a rom. maybe it was low battery. i was charging it now.
later i entered the download mode and it goes off. hoping that it was just low battery.
i installed kies and i have odin v3. i will try that after i download the rom.

Search the xda forums for how to use Odin. If you want stock, then go to the OP and download the appropriate image, be it rooted or non-rooted. Latest stock rom for the E110S is UH31.

Android 4.3 on Galaxy S3 after root and custom rom

Hey guys! I have a question. I'm currently having a problem. I don't know what to do in order to update to Android 4.3 on ky GS3. My phone is rooted and I have a custom rom. From what I heard, I have to unroot and put back the stock rom and I guess I should put back Android 4.1.2 hence my custom rom is based on 4.1.2. Can someone please explain step by step what I should do in order to update to 4.3? Thanks in advance!

Well it depends on what style of android are you looking for, a stock android look like the Nexus phones have or a Samsung Touchwiz.
I was refering to update to the stock official Android 4.3

It depends on you (as for me I wanted to go back stock so I cleared the flashcounter as well)
THIS WILL WIPE YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE ! ( loose all apps and stuff )
A) If you don't care about the flashcounter
- Just download Odin 3.0.9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539
- I downloaded I9300XXUGMK6_I9300OXAGMK6_OXA which is a clean 4.3 UK NO Bloatware firmware ( if you need a fast Mega download link PM me )
- Open Odin3 v3.09
- Restart phone in download mode (Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons)
- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
- Add AP_I9300XXUGMK6_2168382_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md 5 to AP
- Add BL_I9300XXUGMK6_2168382_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md 5 to BL
- Add MODEM_I9300XXUGMK6_REV02_REV04_CL1413323.tar.md5 to CP
- Add CSC_OXA_I9300OXAGMK6_2168382_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to CSC
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click start button, sit back and wait a few minutes.
- If you encounter any issues with the firmware (Any FC, Bootloop etc)
- Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up)
- Choose to wipe/factory reset. (THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD!)
- Then choose reboot and you should be good to go!
B) If you want to have Official ( so you can send it back to Samsung if you still have warranty )
- Just download Odin 3.0.9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539
- Search for your 4.1.2 firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610 or on Google, download it.
- Extract the zip you downloaded so you will have a the .tar.md5 on your desktop or where you extracted it.
- Open Odin , and click on AP and select the .tar.md5 you got from the zip.
- Restart phone in download mode (Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons)
- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click start button, sit back and wait a few minutes.
- If you encounter any issues with the firmware (Any FC, Bootloop etc)
- Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up)
- Choose to wipe/factory reset. (THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD!)
- Then choose reboot and you should be good to go!
- Then you must root the phone again,
- Use the Triangle Away app
- Reset the flashcounter and from there just follow the steps from A)
Hope it helped you

Yes, and you don't have to choose the one for your country. You can you any firmwork you want. My phone came with XEF ( France ) but I live in Romania and currently I have a UK one and there is no call or mobile network errors.

Thank you! I live in Romania aswell. I was thinking on flashing the rom for Switzerland. I heard that it is one of the best 4.3 stock rom's.

Hi there,
in short:
1. Download appropriate Stock ROM for your region from XDA, SamMobile or SamsungUpdate.
2. Make sure correct drivers for your device are installed.
3. Get and install latest Odin 3.09.
4. Put your phone in Download Mode.
5. Flash stock ROM (learn how to use Odin if you don't know, otherwise you probably brick your device).
6. Perform factory reset via stock recovery. Boot device, done.
