[Q] WT19i Bricked - please help! - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi,
I've get my girlfriend brother's phone to check - so it is bricked. I do not know how he did this. But phone is not turning on, no led light or sth. But it is known on PC as QHSUSB_DLOADER - I do not have drivers for this mode.
I've tested all methods to get it to flash mode for FlashTool, but it is not working.
Any sugestions?

emm
First, can you explain better how the phone bricked??
have you tried flashing http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=953586&d=1332104415
extract tft and put it into flashtool/frimwares , then flash it..
if it does not work, then your in troubles.. you may need a medusa box to solve it.

I do not know how it was bricked, but he said that, the power on button does not work, after phone died, before it his PC doen not recognise phone, my on my PC phone is known as as mentioned before - I do not have drivers for this strange named device

AFAIK, your phone is permanently bricked. It's loader is corrupted which has caused it to go to factory service mode. You have to take it to Sony service center or have an expert JTAG the phone to recover it. BTW, How did he do this?

Have you tried installing the drivers from flashtool folder and connect it in flashmode?
I think it's hardbricked, too, and you have to take it to sony

I do not know how he did this ) I've installed proper drivers for WT19i on FlashTool - no way to flash anything.
Expert JTAG? it is some kind of service box or it is special thing that only Sony service have got?

Have you tried to connect the phone to pc while holding the volume up button.........a blue led must glow up
If the phone connects .......that means you can flash a kernel by fastboot method

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322827

JTag cable is now only solution for your mobile.
To look for jtag cable Google it and look for a dealer in your region and call, them they will give you right solution.
Don't worry bro your phone will revive with it as I have revived my phone twice

FIX!
I had the same issue when I was experimenting with ROMs and Recoverys, but not to worry, Sony PC Companion 2.1 does the trick!
Download PC Companion 2.1 from the Sony Mobile website
1. When you download and open it, click start under Support Zone
2. Click start under Phone Software Update
3. When the window saying that a phone could not be found appears, click repair phone
4. A windows like this will appear, click continue to proceed with the repair of the firmware
NOTE: All data that is placed on the phone memory will be wiped but any data saved on the memory card will be spared
5. After clicking continue, a window like so will appear. Tick the box and click next to continue with repair!
6. Sony PC Companion 2.1 will now prepare the computer for the firmware update
7. Now choose your phone model, in this case it should be the Xperia X10 (X10). Select the phone and click Next!
8. Follow the prompts to repair your phone!
GOOD LUCK!!
Always fails for me.
All process end in fail
There must be a file I need to rename or something....
tried everything now...
I have tried everything by now, here i have attached a attachment of error i get while repairing my phone through SEUS..
only option is box flash, but i think its kind of risky...
Fail fail fail..... i'm getting hopeless wif my X10
Hey,
I did some re-search and got to know that somehow my X10 flashes as So-01C in some systems, i.e. xperia arc, even while updating ..........
Anyone here, knows other ways to flash through box other than technician, coz these technicians are real idiot they can crap your phone in 10 seconds, so its better to crap it yourself...
"alternative to box flash, please ???"
Try this
Had the same problem once, when my phone would not start at all, all I had to do was connect it to the PC Companion (2.0), at first it wouldn't repair but after a certain amount of tries it did the trick,
First: Make sure all your drivers are installed, if they were installed there should be no problem.
If they were not, the computer cannot identify your phone, try installing some other x10's drivers (cause your's is bricked I assume) that might do the trick aswell.
Open PC Companion > Support Zone > Phone Software Update (Start) > Follow Instructions > Repair
It might take several tries to get it right
If this doesn't work try the latest flashtool, it should do the trick !!
There must be something you are not doing right, else SEUS/Flashtool should have worked like a charm.
see i get this reply, when updating x10..
I have tried this like thousands of times, installing roms and then removing them and repairing the phone, but this time it has gone over my head........

[Q] X10 Mini Firmware

I need to flash my X10 Mini, but I can't find the firmware for It anywhere with a working link. Anyone that still have the file and willing to share?
There are only plenty of links to sites that are down
I tried to install MiniCM7-2.1.9-robyn on the phone and then afterwards it just won't start anymore, so i need to flash it and then use SEUS to restore it.
UPDATE!
I found everything and fixed everything I needed by just flashing It with a stock kernel.
Just use the Repair option in Pc Companion.

I'm not looking for how to do It..... Read the question before you post. I appreciate you trying to help, but at least understand what the question Is first.
I'm looking for the firmware for the flashtool so I can flash my device (.ftf file)
They guides that teaches you how to fix a bricked phone got links to megaupload (that got shutdown not long ago) and multiupload (also got shutdown) for the firmware I'm looking for.
If you can't turn the phone on, then flashtool won't help you. You have to able to turn the phone on to get to download mode for flashtool, or Pc Companion, or SEUS to do their thing.
If your phone doesn't turn on, you've got a hard brick. Which is bad.

No, it can be a hard brick, he didn't do anything to put his device in danger (from what he claims).
He just needs a stock .ftf file for mini, which I was planning to do in the past, but did only for the pro... I am sorry my friend... There is only one solution -to make the ftf file yourself, which is something very confusing and you are going to need another mini to do this. But don't get your hopes down, it is possible, at least...

The phone it self comes to a point where there is some light on the screen, but i can't see the SE Logo anymore. I can charge the phone without problem from what it looks.
If I can get hold of another mini how can I make the ftf?
What did I do to achive this problem??
I tried to install MiniCM7-2.1.9-robyn and it ended with a phone that got stuck during boot. Then I got to a guide where someone said "Hardreset the device and use SEUS", but SEUS always says that my phone has the latest software.

As far as SEUS is concerned, you DO have the latest software. It just doesn't realise that what you have doesn't work. Select the option to reinstall the software.

Only one problem here, I don't have the option to reinstall the software at all after it says that I already have the latest software.
Can it be that the option is no longer there depending on SEUS version?

There is a repair option in PC Companion, see it, please! The repair option on PC Companion is Support Zone --> Update --> Repair.
BTW, to hard reset :
1. Turn the phone off
2. Press the POWER button
3. Press and hold home key aprox 3 seconds
4. The hard reset is starting.

[Q] Xperia Mini Pro DEAD - Help me load new SW

Hi,
i have problem with SE Xperia Mini Pro (SK17). All of a sudden, screen went black when I was using it. Ever since, I cannot even start the phone. I tried to turn it off, but it doesnt work. I also put the battery out of it, waited for a little while and then put it back - but it still doesnt work. When i try to turn it on, only black screen is what I see.
I tried some repair shop and they told that it is problem with Software and that it needs to be reloaded, I mean that SW has to be replaced with the new one.
Can anybody please help me do that?
Thanks a lot guys

Did it brick while a software update or really just while using it? It's not battery related?
Is your bootloader locked and are you using a custom kernel or rom?
You will have to flash the original firmware again using flashtool. For that download flashtool from the development section and install it. Go to the installation folder > drivers and install all drivers for all devices.
Afterwards download the 4.0.2.A.0.42 .ftf for SK17i from here and place it in the flashtool folder > firmware. Delete all other files in firmware folder.
Open flashtool, click on the flash and select flashmode -> ok. Select the 4.0.2.A.0.42.ftf and click okay. Let your phone turned off and hold volume down and while you hold volume down just connect usb to pc. Don't power phone on, just connect to pc while holding volume down. Flashtool will automaticly flash the firmware. I hope your battery status is more than 25%
Don't disconnect your phone while it's flashing. Afterwards plug phone off and reboot, it should be alive again
Thank you, I will try it.
No, it is not battery related, I checked battery. And it didnt happen during SW upadte, it happend during regular usage. Al of a sudden...
Thanks again for your reply, I will try it as soon as I can. I hope I will be able to do it despite the fact, I have no experiences in such things... (I use iOS, this Android phone belongs to my girlfriend)

So I did everything as you wrote, but it didnt help Phone was flashed correctly I guess, there were no errors in report. Should I try some different mode or something else? Anything?
Or does it mean, that it is not software failure?

I think it is your display or ribbon problem. All the sliding phones have this ribbon problem.
Yes, it did vibrate. Im not sure it is display problem, because the display shines, but only black color - it is not as black as if it is turned off.
And no, I can not see boot logo. Only vibration and shining black color

try to repair it through Sony PC Companion. if it doesn't work then your display is dead
Beforing that flashing, PC Companion wasnt able to recognize phone - now it does. It immediately recognized, that there s xperia mini pro plugged-in.
So does it mean, that SW is fine and the display is messed up? Now i m trying to repair through pc companion, i ll see if it helps.
Thanks guys anyway for all the help

Looks like display's got a problem. So try to repair via pc companion (guess bootloader is locked if pcc recognizes your phone) and if that doesn't help bring it to service
PC Companion didnt help. It has just loaded the latest software to the phone, but it is still same - i try to turn it on, it vibrates and then black screen is shining.
So I guess you guys might be right - display might be dead.
What does it mean that bootloader is locked? The phone was recognized, I also updated the SW via PC Companion

well... display + ear loudspeaker (or flex cable can it be, i m not sure)...
i m not sure if it s worth repairing (I bought it second hand, i dont have warranty certificate)
You mean warranty for phone? Ask at service center how much it is to repair without warranty certificate...
And: No if pcc recognizes phone the bootloader is locked!

Try this:
Download UnbrickingXperia2011.zip file from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?s166qsg8qaaxc43
Unpack the .zip file and place the .ftf file in Flashtool\firmwares folder.
Open Flashtool.
Get your phone to flashmode, make sure it is turned off, press down Volume DOWN button and connect USB cable.
In Flashtool, click the lightning button, pick Flashmode and choose the Xperia_2011_FreeXperia_ALL.ftf file.
Let Flashtool finish.
Now do what mihahn said.
I hope it helps, if not then it is a display problem
Eventually, there was nothing left to try, so I went so mobile repair service a had it diagnosed.
The only problem was flex cable. They also told me that it is quite common problem for slide phones. Fortunately, display was OK.

Okay so you have installed all the drivers for flashtool and PC Companion?
What have you done with your phone, on which software version have you been, is your bootloader locked/unlocked, are you on a custom rom/kernel?
Please give us more information and we can maybe help you
Hi George,
It looks like your phone has gone into a factory mode as said in this thread.
You might want to send it to warranty repair if your bootloader is still intact and your warranty period isn't over or you might want to try different key combinations to wake your phone from coma (that's what it looks like) . If you manage to boot your device using different key combinations then immediately put your phone in A/C charging. After full charge do a factory reset and repair your phone using seus (this might work but not guaranteed) . For more info google "qhsusb_dload xperia" and also read the above mentioned link carefully.
Good luck!
Press thanks if I helped you.

This issue is a rarity. It is generally a device fault or happens when you play with the device's bootloader in the way you shouldn't. I've read somewhere it means that there is no bootloader in the device and the phone is waiting to be flashed with a bootloader and that's why it's called the factory mode. ( I can't verify my sources on this ).
Press thanks if I helped.

[Q] Xperia sola blocked on Sony screen

Hi guys, i don't know how to solve a problem with my Sola. I read the recover soft-brick guide for xperia models but i can't solve it. I think i bricked.
When i try to turn on it's on Sony screen and there's nothing to do. I can use on flash mode and flash the kernel but the result is the same when i turn on. The led works like green in flash mode, or red when i finish the flash and the device is still connected. I have a locked bootloader, and all this happened when i wanted to restore a backup, i probably made a mistake: do a full wipe after that. I think that's is still in warranty, isnt' it? What can i do? There are some tips on the tutorial but i'm afraid to kill the battery or make other mistakes. Please help me guys.
And sorry for my bad english =(

Yes and flash is ok but when i turn on it's still on sony screen...i waited about 5 minutes. I tried with 6.1.1.B.1.54 and with 6.1.1.B.1.1.0 with same result. I know i have to wait after flash a stock firmware but i see it's too much time. Maybe because when i want to switch off i have to use hard reset (i mean with all 3 button). I don't know..thanks to reply in any case
