In the speedrom theres a flashlight tweak that we can use in back ground but since I have an other phone I didnt find an app or tweak like that. All the app on the market makes the led go off when we exit the app. I need this tweak because the camera on my new phone (Atrix HD) is very poor but when the light is open its okay.
have you tried? tiny flash light its a free flashlight app that runs in the background, since that seems to be your issue...

since your camera needs the led for taking pictures.. you obviously cant use the camera while another application is using the led.. just close the flashlight and open the camera.. besides your camera should have auto or flash features.. so there's no need to have the flashlight on while taking pictures
but in speedrom i can use the camera when the flashlight is on (status bar tweak) and yes my new phones do bad picture whit is flash it's need to be full of light because it's not doing a good focus tho
i'm not sure about that.. but on my phone if the led is on... i cannot access the camera... maybe because the sense camera is different from the aosp camera... that could be the issue...but its not a big deal.. like i said before.. most people don't use the led while having the camera on.. xD

If you use the vignette camera app it auto flashes, but it's kinda pointless honestly. The led flash isn't bright enough to .

Auto flash is not yet properly implemented its Android limitation. And Vignette one is also useless as its not making any difference. Only way is to switch on photo light before taking pic
Is ther anyway to turn the flashlight off on the stock SE camera? i turn it off in the settings but whenever I record video it always comes on...
that's not the flashlight, thats the recorded advice (is low light, not so bright like the flash) i don't know but i think you cannot disable it at least not in a simple way...it's like the red record light in video cameras.
yeah i noticed that it's not as bright as when I turn flash on... but yeah I need to turn that off i wanna be able to record video without my daughter noticing because as soon as she sees that light come on she stops doing whatever she's doing... so anoying!
I have a problem with the flashlight in stock camera app and other apps which are using camera. The flashlight is always on while I'm on preview and in stock camera settings can't turn it off. In the LG camera, Camera MX, Cartoon Camera the situation is the same. In the Tiny flashlight the flash is on after I launch the app and before I click the 'on' button. Sorry for bad english.

since there is no fix for this problem but disabling flash which isn't good for low light situations, i kept trying camera apps till i found this one, which has an inbuilt flash button, so all u gotta do in low light situations is keeping the flash on like in the SS and capture as many pics as u want with no pinkish effect , ofc if devs could make the flash app work simultaneously with the camera app without the error we wont need this 3rd party app , hope i helped
I recently got my Radar and when I try to take a picture, the camera simply does not focus. I´ve tried everything, but nothing works. Is my camera broken or is this maybe a software issue?
Mostly a Windows Phone thing...
To focus on certain objects, tap them on your touchscreen and it will take the picture.. (This might be disabled in settings)

when u use the camera key,there are 2 press,when u press a little bit the camera adjusts the focusing and let u know on screen that the square brackets turn from WHITE to GREEN or they stays stable,then full press the camera button.....! u will have a clear shot.....! no software bug or no camera problem its just a button operating system......!
I know about the shutter button and the touch to pic, but the thing is that when I half press the button the white square appears but it doesnt focus as in nothing happens. For example when I want to take macro pic, it shows it focused when actually it didnt
