I have a problem with the flashlight in stock camera app and other apps which are using camera. The flashlight is always on while I'm on preview and in stock camera settings can't turn it off. In the LG camera, Camera MX, Cartoon Camera the situation is the same. In the Tiny flashlight the flash is on after I launch the app and before I click the 'on' button. Sorry for bad english.

You can already do that within he camera app. Just click the flash button
In the speedrom theres a flashlight tweak that we can use in back ground but since I have an other phone I didnt find an app or tweak like that. All the app on the market makes the led go off when we exit the app. I need this tweak because the camera on my new phone (Atrix HD) is very poor but when the light is open its okay.
have you tried? tiny flash light its a free flashlight app that runs in the background, since that seems to be your issue...

since your camera needs the led for taking pictures.. you obviously cant use the camera while another application is using the led.. just close the flashlight and open the camera.. besides your camera should have auto or flash features.. so there's no need to have the flashlight on while taking pictures
but in speedrom i can use the camera when the flashlight is on (status bar tweak) and yes my new phones do bad picture whit is flash it's need to be full of light because it's not doing a good focus tho
i'm not sure about that.. but on my phone if the led is on... i cannot access the camera... maybe because the sense camera is different from the aosp camera... that could be the issue...but its not a big deal.. like i said before.. most people don't use the led while having the camera on.. xD
I can launch the camera with the shutter button, but I haven't been able to take pictures in still camera modes, the only ones it accepts is AR EFFECTS and TIMESHIFT BURST. I can record videos with the shutter button... However using other apps like Camera360 or Google Camera allow me to take still pics. Could that be a configuration problem? or something else?
By the way... Is there a way to change vibration intensity for incoming calls?
Try uninstalling any third party apps, I do not know why it stops the stock camera from working correctly.

its happend if u using some XPOSED modules.
I have also found that at times my case makes the button quit working.
Is there a flashlight app that will stay on when the camera is activated? I know it worked on my Galaxy S3, but I can't seem to find an app that will do it on my G3. It is great to have for when the flash won't work, like in burst shots or if you are having trouble eliminating red eye.
I just tried using the torch option in g3 tweaksbox and it shuts down the torch when the camera app launches.
Which Camera app do you use and why?
I've been switching between ABC and Open Camera.
Those both have DRO built in.
ABC night mode works well sometimes.
I like Open Camera HDR and the ability to lower ISO, though it doesnt support 23MP
I haven't had a chance to try the snap camera much.
I'm using CameraNextMod.
Stock - third party apps have worse shutter lag because camera will refocus before capture.

I like keeping with the stock camera because i can use the dedicated camera button, and it uses the full 22.3 mp. With the mod, you could do some manual shooting (minus RAW capture)
You should be able to use the camera button with any camera.
I'd like to use the sony stock, but I'm on Lineage now so I didnt think it would work.

I just tried it with google camera, which is my only other camera app and i just knew now that it works. But the pre-focus doesnt.
Can Lineage capture RAW photos?
Stock because most apps dosnt support the max 23MP only 8MPx beside Camera FV-5
but! Camera FV-5 crash alot, the good thingg in Camera FV-5 you can use while the phone is hot and blow 4% batt, and abit more "control"
Only reason why I use Snap Camera is because I'm using LineageOS
Otherwise, I'd probably stick with default Sony camera
