►►►Titanium Backup Pro !! Urgent Help !! Accidentally deleted system app.
Hi guys,
I've Micromax A100 (ICS). I installed APEX LAUNCHER v1.01 and then i converted from user app to system app with the help of Titanium Backup Pro. Now i downloaded APEX v1.4 but unable to install as it saying, its system app, installation failed.
So i uninstalled APEX v1.01 by TBP, but again same error message, I tried converting to USER app, but it was taking so long time, then by mistake i deleted backup of APEX v1.01
Now I'm unable to RESTORE APEX v1 and also unable to install APEX v1.4 as it saying system app, installation not done.
Now what should i do ??? How can i completely remove APEX from ROM? Now its not showing under TBP.

Grab a root browser and go to system/app and delete from there. And don't delete random stuff . Find the right one and delete. U should mount as r/w.

In addition to Lifehacker7 recomendation, I'd look in data/data also for remnants

Furthermore, if you have a recovery, look up how to make an 'update zip' and potentially install it as a system app from recovery if both fail.

I did that, but there is no APEX app in that folder, only system apps are there.

See in data/app if there is any .odex file of apex launcher. If it's there, just delete it. Try installing now. It should work.

[Q] Cannot restore music.apk with Titanium Backup Pro

Used Titanium Back apps for several months. Had no system problems. Needed a bit more internal memory free and decided to uninstall the stock gingerbread music app ( which i backup and then I uninstalled it) because I use other music players and it has been listed as being safe to remove w/o system probs.
Samsung galaxy y
Stock 2.3.6 Froyo ROM
Before doing anymore uninstalls I wanted to see if i could restore this. Titanium Backup Pro just hangs indefinitely when trying to restore the stock music.apk app. Have to kill it. Using Root Explorer and ES File Manager, I am able to see the app in the system/app folder after doing this but it does not show in the app drawer.
What I've Tried:
1. Contacted Titanium Support. Great guys and very helpful. Cannot stress this enough and the app is awesome. They suggested taking the apk from the backup files and moving it using adb.
Result: Moved the file but would not show up in app drawer.
2. Found the stock music.apk in system/app folder using Root Explorer
Result: Tried rebooting. Did not work. Tried factory reset from Privacy Menu. Still not in app drawer.
please help guys!!!!!!!!!!!! how to fix this????
Have you tried clearing the data for Music app? When I've restored apps with Titanium, sometimes the data is corrupted or something and I have to clear the data.
You can always try uninstalling it and pushing a new music program with adb.

[Q] Titanium backup can't install

Hello!
Few week ago I installed the titanium backup 5.1, and it works perfect... But one day it disappeared from my app list. I didn't find it in the data/app with rootexplorer, so I tried reinstall it, but I couldn't do it, because if I install it from market or filebrowser the installer write thet I haven't got free space. Any other app install works, and I have lots of free space.
(I tried install other rom without wipe, but some apps disappears, so I restored my backup.)
Pls help, how can I solve this problem?
Thanks
Try with a full wipe from recovery, then using root explorer move Titanium Backup.apk in system/app
If i helped you press thanks

[Q] How to remove Games by PopCap

Hello all,
I've recently rooted my sk17i and removed some stock apps using Terminal Emulator and it worked perfect for me.
But I still have two apps that I want to remove but I am not able to find thier .apk name:
1. Games by PopCap
2. Games & apps
Any one know which .apk s to remove ??
Thanks
Install an app that gives you ability to view system files and folder (Root Explorer or ES File Explorer), navigate to system/app folder using one of the aftermentioned apps, and there will you find apps you want to delete.
Edit: I don't know their correct names, but you will be able to reckognize them by icon.
Use Titanium Backup and you will find it quite fast.

Thank you Deyo
I tried that before but didn't work
now I installed Root Uninstaller and could remove those apps
How come?, as I used those two app for the same reason as you - deleting unwanted apps, and there were no problem.

Titanium Backup shows ALL apps(system and user) installed on your phone by their name, allows you to backup and restore them with userdata and lots of other stuff. Check it out, it is actually a must-have root app.

Titanium Backup, ROM Toolbox, System Cleanup ( you can find it here on XDA or Play Store) or using a Root Explorer - delete the apk files

So i should just directly delete the apk from the /system/app folder?
You should backup the folder on sdcard first
...Xperia neo...KA ICS 21.1...Suave v6...
Titanium backup is probably the easiest way to do it.
