[Q] Insufficient Memory - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

When i first bought the GN2 I also bought a 64GB SD card so I could put all the apps I wanted on the phone not realizing (until it was too late!) that I can't get apps to load on the SD card. Now, every time I try installing another app (wireless tether or GL to SD so I CAN move some apps) I keep getting an error message "Insufficient Space- please uninstall some apps for more space." I have tried uninstalling everything I am not using on a daily basis. I have used Root Explorer to delete empty folders in internal memory. Now I cannot install anything, not even apps to help. What do I need to uninstall to make this thing work again???
Verizon GN2, SCH-I605, rooted, bootloader unlocked, stock rom.

You can use an SD swap script if you are rooted.
You cannot add apps to the SD. Either use the swap script or use titanium backup, make a backup, and uninstall app.
If you are having issues installing apps when there are memory, readd you google acct/play acct. That fixed it for me when i could install some play store apps.

SD Card Issue?

Recently I can't put any apps on my SD Card. I installed a custom ROM awhile back, but it bricked. And now, when I try to install or even update an app, it says there is no space. When I go to settings and check my storage space, my SD card has all space available, but it says Application space is 0.00B.
How can I fix this?

Hmm. If you're rooted, I'm assuming, then use Titanium Backup to back up all of your apps and data, then use this link:
http://androidspin.com/2010/08/09/how-to-restore-or-recover-your-samsung-vibrant/
To odin back to stock, this will fix all of your issues, then just reflash a custom rom, preferably a newer one like Nero or Axura.

[Q] Apps required to be in phone memory.

Widgets should remain in the phone memory. Everything else that doesn't run frequently should go to the SD card

K.
unable to move maps n youtube.
stil woried abt lockscreen n launchers.
Are you using the stock ROM? Apps that are in /system/app cannot be moved to the SD. If you installed it via downloading/installing from the market or somewhere else, you can move it.
Everything that feels like it should be launched no matter what or those that need to be started quickly on boot, keep it on the phone memory.

Yeah. m on stock.
did move sum apps to sd via app 2 sd enabler.
Cmon guys I thougjt it was safe to move all sh#t to sd
It's safe. It's just that apps that need to be started on boot must be there as soon as it can. Read and write speeds on the SD card is much slower than on the phone memory.
Well he didnt ask for fast boot
It's not about fast booting It's about getting the things you need as fast as you can. For example, I need a widget to load as fast as it can since it has to be there as soon as the phone boots. That was my point
Everything that you don't use everyday move to SDcard (if possible). If you move favourite apps to SD and you acces them all day long you will shorten the SDcard's life.
I have void with a2sd enabled. So all user applications are on sd. Can I use titanium backup to move some apps to internal memory?

I used Titanium to move a lot of stuff over to the SD from Internal... Stuff in the /system directory doesn't affect your phone's "Internal Storage Space" as reported in the Settings menu since /data and /system are separate partitions. Apart from /system apps, the only thing that I would want to move to the SD that it couldn't move was the PayPal App from the app-private location. Going into ADB wouldn't allow me to do it either.
Titanium also allowed me to uninstall a bunch of the **** that came installed like game demos. This did not free up additional storage space, with the exception of what it removed from Dalvik-Cache. Which, btw is going to be your biggest issue... Some ROM's allow you to move this to the /cache partition, but this is a relatively small partition (~56MB) on this phone and my Dalvik-Cache currently takes up ~90MB.
Pls reply here guys.

I use app 2 sd to move everything I dont need frequently on SD, than just long press on those program from app 2 sd and Open them.
It's a bit tricky and I dont know other ways (on the home screen most of SD apps wont appear...) but I never had slow opening and the like
Everything was ok till xtesterday.
today i rebooted ma cell,
and all d apps disappeared of sd.
though sd is accessible via file manager, gallery.
i tried formattingsd,cell reset.
bt all in vain.
cant install from file manager.
cant even install from market.
even unable to unmount ma card.
any solution???

I used Titanium again and used it to incorporate the updated GApps into the ROM. I knew that I had about 56MB free on the system partition. Putting Gmail, Maps, Street view, Market and anything else that I could find freed 30MB on the data partition.

[Q] How to transfer EVERYTHING to my SD card?

my 32gb sd card will be here today. I need to put all of my music (in google music), all my contacts, all my apps, and any other data that can be transferred. I want this because on my last android phone i never used my SD card and now i wish i had a backup. Thanks!
As far as the music goes just use a file manager to transfer the files. my personal favorite is root explorer.
And for the contacts and apps it would probably just be easy to sync them to your gmail. then when you get a new android it will download all the apps you had and add to your contacts list.
Would be nice if there was a simple. Way anyone...
Simpler How? doesnt get much simpler than clicking sync to google
was your last phone rooted? If so, did you use Titanium backup...if so back up all user apps with tibu and put your backups on your ext sd. IF your NOte is rooted...put in ext sd from old phone and restore ONLY user apps with tibu. back up and restore contacts using google.
If you were NOT rooted on old phone and NOT on the Note...it will be harder. BUT when you go to market with new phone it will have all your PAID apps in "my apps" and you can d/l again. What i did when i wasn't rooted was write down all my apps so you don't forget what apps you have that aren't PAID. and re d/l/ it honestly has been sooooooooooooo long since i have had an unrooted phone that is the best i can do. I am getting my Note on Monday and until i root it so that i can bing , bang , boom with tibu and restore i am not going to mess with it.
I guess what i am saying is ...someone who wasn't and isn't rooted may be able to help cause it has been forever for me with an unrooted phone.
YOu can xfer files onto your ext sd but ROOT exp requires root..so....you can try the stock file mgr.
Part 2:
How do you force applications to install to the greater 10GB of internal memory & not the measly 2Gb?

[Q] System apps to SD Card via Link 2 SD

Is it possible to move the system apps to sd card using link2SD ?
No. You can convert system apps to user apps then move them. At your own risk...
Yea
If you have a rooted phone and realy want to force your phone apps to be moved on sd storage you may be successfull but than you dont have any guarantee that they´ll work as they should because in some case it is evident to be on phone storage
Further it may cause system crashes if the sd card is dismounted or interrupted in some way because the system in system apps means that they´re workin on the system =)
Hi. My question is:
I have copy all the .apk from \system\app of my mobile. Can I uninstall these one with link2sd and after that run the apk from my saving to force them via link2sd to install on a partition from sd card ?
And in the apk there is some system apps (ok for google apps like youtube).
Thanks in advance for your replies.
dont. it will brick your phone
Which is the best and EASIEST program to do that on rooted mobile phones?

[Q] Some apps not working after using Link2sd

I use link2sd to link app, dalvik (dex), lib and data files of all 3rd party apps that I install to my SD card to keep the internal memory clean and save space. Most of the apps work but some apps like Subway Surfers, Rail Rush, etc. stop working after linking everything and REBOOTING the phone. Until I reboot, it works but not after that. When I try to launch them, I get "[app] has stopped working error". 95% of the linked apps work totally fine. Problem is only with some apps (these apps that are troublesome are mostly the ones that automatically get installed to the SD card. But even if they do, only apk is stored on SD card and the dex, lib, data are still on the internal memory so I still need to use Link2SD).
Any solutions? Or workarounds?

Install these minority of apps as the developer intended? , if it's only a few apps it's hardly going to swamp your internal memory.

Yeah its just a few but I'm afraid I wanna keep more such apps in future which might behave this way. As far as it seems, this problem is only with some of those apps which automatically get installed to the SD card (like subway surfers). I found a workaround that seems to be working. Firstly the app needs to be moved to the internal memory before linking (which I already did before). But there are two ways to do this: One through the Android system (Settings -> Apps -> SD card -> Select app -> Move to phone) and other by using the Link2SD app (Select app -> Move to phone). The second option solves the problem. If the app is moved to phone using Android system, then linked to SD card and rebooted, apps stop working. So, its needed to move it to phone using link2sd.
