More of his great work is in my post on page 3 . CM7.2, CM10, CM10.1 (4.2.1), and CM10.1 (4.2.2) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2148878&page=3

Looks great. Especially tablet modes and all the customizability.

Ik right and this is just his first port for it. Imagine what the updates will be like. (If there be any)

Anyone tested it? Is it more stable then AOSP and CM 10.1? What kernel does it run?

AOSPA is a nice little move from the occasional CM and AOSP. And don't get hopes up yet, it's still on 3.0.63

After testing it for a few days, I can tell you some of the problems I came across. When rotating between landscape and potrait I experience a little screen lag but nothing serious. Everything else seems to work perfect even the pie style bar and dpi settings in settings.
Edit: Oh, forgot to say that I dont think 10 touch work. I have the firmware installed but it only see's up to 4 fingers.

This doesn't work with the 8gb nook, it just shows a blank screen after the cyanogenmod boot so therefore I don't think it's compatible with 8gb nook and I would appreciate and others too would appreciate if they had instructions on here or compatibility with certain devices so users know what they are downloading.

Thankz for sharing this. I have the 16gb version and works great. I didn't know the 8gb and 16gb was so different besides the ram and memory.

how can I boot it from SD? My nt is cwm-looped and it doesn't boot any system until now. I would to try using this one from SD. Any idea?

And Make sure to install a CM or AOSP Build and Gapps
Thankz to iamafanof

Added the Update Link to first post. . Changelog is on his site though.

See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36685310&postcount=1, but in steps 4 &5 use PA ROM and Gapps files with "-SDC.zip" suffix from http://iamafanof.wordpress.com/2013/02/14/paranoidandroid-aospa-3-jb-4-2-2-for-nook-tablet-0214/.

Has any one else had troubles backing up the ROM in cwm. I get an error for the boot image when i try.

I've been using it for about a day at home and it works great so far. I am able to stream youtube directly to my smart tv and hbo go works great on the tablet. havent tried netflix yet. play store works too, loving jelly bean so far.
however, the rotation bug (it shows deformed graphics for a second, then rotates the screen) is really annoying. it kinda kills the fluidness of the OS for me. I am gonna try CM10 i think before i decide what works best. I really wish he fixed the screen orientation switching bug. I'd donate if it led to such a fix.

Ikr. If it wasn't for that rotation bug, I would me all over it.

One thing I have noticed. The graphics are more clearer and better on this Rom than the others.

what others have you tried? i have to admit i have just dusted off my NT after a year or so of neglect. I only put the PA3 on it so far, was gonna try to flash SGT7+CM10.1 tonight, should i bother? is there any ROM you recommend?
I do love the clarity of the images when using PA3 (i have no idea if they will differ on others).

Yes. I have experienced the exact same issue with the newest CWM 6.xxx and TWRP recovery. No idea why though.

TF201 CM9 Nightly Available

CM9 Nightly for Prime now available...has anyone tried this yet? I'm tempted to give it a whirl, but may wait for braver souls to give it a try first and report their findings...
http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=tf201
All the d/l links on the page http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=tf201 seem to be broken atm
you're right...didn't try that before posting that it was available. With the recent announcements of nightlies being available for other devices, probably just a matter of time before they get to us
Old news... been up for well over a month now.

The date of the new build is for the 29th, its 12.33am on the 30th here in Australia. I hope they merged the 4.0.4 AOSP code into it.
I'll be back in 8 hours after a snooze, it would be sweet if the links were fixed by then. I've been hanging for cm to update the tf201 nightlies. The one before yesterdays was just under a month ago..

dude, there's a new build for the 29th...
All I am hoping for is that the keyboard dock at least works. Like, no soft keyboard pops up on dock use. If it has that, I have a new DD for my TF201.

[Edit] this begins running at 1.2ghz. using the cpu_overclock.bin from the TFP AOKP section by Jermaine cranks it up to 1.6...aaaand now it's perfect...really running great so far. minor market issues with compatibility but that's about all I can find. anything to look out for/test??

are you rooted, unlocked and running the latest CWM recovery?
if so, take my first post, fill in the gaps for the link to the direct CM server, download the rom. transfer rom and latest ICS gapps (3/17) to your internal storage. boot into recovery, wipe, flash.
These seem to be working.

Its been decided that we won't use Cornerstone for the foreseeable future. The underlying implementation is not flexible and needs a lot of work.
It is 4.0.4. I forgot to get GAPPS before flashing, so Im downloading that now. It looks to be very AOSP right now. Will update in a minute
Edit- Having a issue with WiFi. I set it up and it works fine. I restart the tablet and it cannot connect and is stuck at "Turning on Wireless". Rebooting again has no effect. Toggling Airplane mode also has no effect.
Edit 2- Dock is working like it does with the AOKP- volume, lock, media, back button, and browser work, the other shortcut keys dont. It charges from the dock. Cameras work fine. Brightness works, but no IPS switch (duh). Overall, very promising! I hope the nightlies continue!

[ROM Preview] Want to maintain me? [PARANOIDANDROID][1.2c]

Hi, I have this ported to the fascinate and was wondering if anyone with some experience would like to maintain further updates to this.
So far I do believe everything is working (calls,sms,mms,bt,wifi,gps,etc..) and it has a lot of neat features that have not been seen before, including the new PAL!
I will upload and provide a fully working zip if anyone wishes to take this on. Again everything works that I know of.
Preview Release
This is a MTD ROM, so all MTD rules apply! (ie: no 3 finger & must already be on mtd)
Since I did not post this in the Devolopment section please feel free to discuss and/or help each other.
Not a complete list! Might be more!
Not Working:
Portable wifi hotspots (Wifi tethering) Bluetooth tethering works though!
Camera does not record video
Bugs:
Choppy video playback
I recommend giving it about 20 seconds before clicking Start!
Includes: Gapps,CarHome,ROMManager & Terminal
Launchers: Trebuchet & NovaLauncher
All Pre-Glitched via prebuilts for your pleasure....
There may be other things that I missed but seems mostly working!
Flasher assumes risk:
First flash: Wipe Data!
1.1 to 1.1a and vice versa: Wipe Dalvik-cache & cache!

Nice Work
This ported version of PARANOIDANDROID won't boot on my roomate's Fascinate but when I flash it with the version for the Vibrant, his Fascinate boots and it works. I also have to flash Icy Glitch Beta 6 kernel for Fascinate to get this ROM working. The only problem is no data or 3g when using this method. I have a Vibrant and this ROM is awesome on it.

Weird
I wonder what I could be doing wrong? I've done a complete wipe and even formatted system and data. I was able to get CM9 SKANKWICH 6/1/12 working with no issue and the Vibrant version of this ROM with ICY Glitch Beta 6 Kernal for Fascinate working. I haven't ran accross an issue like this before. When flashing this ROM on the Fascinate, the phone just boots right back into recovery for me. I had an issue with the phone and had to Oden it back to stock. I'm gonna give it another shot and see if I can get it working. Any tips or suggestions would be great. One thing I did notice was on both the Fascinate and Vibrant, is that when playing flash video in the browser, the browser becomes unresponsive when I select fullscreen. I tested multiple sites that use flash video and everything works great until fullscreen is selected. Youtube app of course works fine, even in full screen. Thanks for all of your help and this freakin' sweet ROM. You rule.

[Q] What's the most stable ICS/JB ROM for 8GB?

Hello, I wish to play games and watch videos on my Nook Tablet. Which ROM would be choice for doing this? Thanks for any help.
CM10 released its final version at the end of last year. Since then CM 10.1 has been released and improved on A LOT since it initially released. I recommend CM 10.1 from here.

But if you have any problems with it you can downgrade to CM10, which can also be found on iamafanof's page.

I have a 16 GB tablet and have run quite a few different JB (CM10.1) roms from various devs. The one that runs best for me, least battery drain, never crashed yet is at http://goo.im/devs/Kuzma30/full_acclaim-jb-20130102.zip. The others are Android 4.1.X. This one is 4.2.x.

I though that was the difference between CM10 and CM10.1: CM10 being 4.1.x, CM10.1 being 4.2.x, but I'm totally prepared to admit being wrong! It ceratinly wouldn't be the first time!

The distinction between CM10 and CM10.1 is as you stated. Only that JB spans both 4.1.x and 4.2.x, as does Kuzma30's full_acclaim-jb build series.

Just installed it today. It is running smoothly with no hiccups so far.
One of the things that has puzzled me with the previous versions of ICS has been the tendency for the browser to choke when more than two tabs are in use. It ceases to function and then crashes out. I can reopen it and the same tabs reappear. I must close at least one to keep it from crashing again. This version does not exhibit this behavior. I had nine open today before it gave up. Still using gapps 2012-12-12 and reloaded it with every new rom I tried, along with the usual clearing of caches and data.

The earlier versions might still be a bit "buggish" to say. Say having multiple tabs open at once might just make it bug out.
I'm still using this ROM with the current version dated 26FEB2013_01. It is still quite stable and also now using the latest gapps dated 30130301 and that has smoothed things out bit more. One of the best surprises has been video playback in the browser. I was unable to play many things and it would tell me that I needed the latest version of "flash". Now, it plays well and I have no idea why. I thought flash was not supported in JB. Not complaining, just wondering what happened to change this. Now I can play my videos on MotoGp and I am thrilled.
All in all things are working very well in this ROM. I still get stock browser crashes when I have more than 3 or 4 tabs open, but I can live with that having so many other features that work so well. Many thanks to Succulent and all the other DEVs involved.

 MotoGP site is what I use to "test" diffrent ROMS! Partly because it's a huge interest of mine, and party because that site is poorly done that if I can have it running smooth in a ROM or browser I'm testing, I'm confident pretty much everything else will work as well! :good:

How many using CM10.1 by After_Silence

I can not post on the developer area so After_silence many thanks for your great work!
How many mediapad users using CM? After_silence has told that there are too few users out there using media pad, so he is no longer interested in developing for media pad. how many are we? I myself would love to continue using his excellent CM 10.1 and was eagerly waiting for BT to work on mediapad .

Hey I'm using S7303u and cm10.1 works fine, I'm currently working on porting AC!D MOD for all enhanced audio, beats, xloud and clear+, bravia2 to run on media pad, its almost ready just running into storage issues in the system partition, not enough room to fully flash my zip, libs and framework not flashing, causing boot loop, broke zip into two desperate zips, you can install one or the other, works fine, but I need all mods together with settings to manipulate sound. I hope his break isn't two long was really looking forward to new builds, guess I'll try and get Bluetooth working for now
here... also using CM10... tried the CM10.1 for testing... and it is okay... but i am using BT and HOTSPOT so i return back to CM10... also can't reply to the CM10 thread...
so maybe after_silence thought there were only few of us using his FIRMWARE... but if the 10 post LIMIT is not there... he would receive a lot of response... and user feedback...
thanks again... for the nice firmware... still looking forward for the 4.2.2 (CM10.1)...

So if 303u is working on 301u device, is that mean I can use 301u rom's on 301w too? Is that what you mean?

its all the same thing my device is tmo springboard, so of course by using mediapad fw I lose 4g capabilites, but other than that, cm10.1 runs smooth
Happy user
I am running 10.1 happy with it.
Thank you very much.
thank you: it is a great ROM

I use too. And cannot post on developers forum too
But I caught bug: once I could not unlock screen. I pressed power button, screen turned on for a half a second and became off after this...
Then i pressed power button for a long time and pressed it again. Device turned off. After booting all works fine.
agreed, many thanks to the wonderful developers
i'm currently using aokp 30.1 final jb4.1.2, looking forward to bluetooth & most importantly more stable hdmi mirroring on the 4.2.2 nightlies though (so can output & play stuff like playstation emulator there or use with wireless keyboard/mouse as nice media pc on tv)
my device is mediapad s-301u

I kept an eye on it for months, but it never became perfect enough to flash it, and hey, doesnt it have the seal of approval/quality "unofficial".
Now, game over, man.
it seems that he has just release a new cm10.1 rom 20130330
thankyou after_silence for continuing this project silently

awesome. word has it he has got hdmi audio out now but no bluetooth right? well I suppose BT is not a deal breaker. could anyone comment on stability of HDMI out on new release as well as whether it supports external/internal SD swap as AOKP 30.1 Final did? (or perhaps if there is some other work around for it? got a lot of data hungry games)

Where to get the ROM's
Hey guys,
I'm currently running the Stock Springboard + ROOT and loving it. Theres only one problem though: if i fill up my 32GB SD card with music, the machine slow to a halt. I believe this is an OS issue. Does anyone know if the new ROM's take care of this issue? Bluetooth is important to me. I'd prefer everything working: HDMI, 4G, BT & hotspot. Can someone give me some advice and where to get the ROM's and which ones to get?
Cheers,
Zubin

Any ROM with Tablet UI and MHL support?

Hi there
I am looking for a rom with the Tablet UI (Like the old stock rom) with support for MHL. I am currently running a stable PAC release but the lack of MHL support is getting annoying. I was perfectly happy with the stock rom but after an upgrade the tablet ui was replaced with the phablet/phone ui which I thought was a step in the wrong direction so i flashed PAC roms until I found my daily driver.
Is there a custom rom that supports both the Tablet UI either through PA or an Xposed module (I have not found one that works so far) and MHL? Or do I have to go back to an old stock rom?
Tablet: SGP311 UK 16GB WIFI
Current ROM: pac_pollux_windy-4.3-20140122
Thanks in advance
phab7
use phab7 with xposed installer.
afaik no custom rom supports mhl, only an old version of cm (don't remember if 9 or 10) wich is not built for pollux_windy
i've gone back to stock for that reason

Have you tested this with a stock rom? I tried phab7 on my PAC rom but it didnt work, I assumed it was because of PA elements in PAC.

Ahh thats a real shame. What stock are you running and have you treid to get the Tablet UI? The new stock UI just makes the buttons really hard to use with two hands and its asif you have a 10 inch phone in your hands!

i'm now using latest with kk but didn't try mhl or tablet ui.
mhl is supposed to be supported, regarding tablet ui sony did many modifications to the system ui so the best chance is to try. if you do make a nandroid backup first.
No idea about MHL but none of the kitkat ROMs have the option for classic tablet UI sadly. I don't know why nobody did it considering you can adjust the UI Nav buttons.
The best solution for me is omni ROM so far. You can put the back button to a corner there at least.

Google basically killed all the code responsible for the Tablet UI on KK.

I don't think this is a valid reason considering i allready had tablet UI back on KK. With AOKP and pacman you can add as many nav bar items as you want. I added so many that i simply gave the most right three ones the typical three buttons. Voila i had my tablet UI.
The problem: Since a few updates they render a pacman or AOKP icon on every button you add but don't assigne anything to it wich looks stupid.
Technically there is nothing hindering to get a tablet UI back.

Already back on KK? That's the latest... And, that isn't actually Tablet UI. You just put lots of icons and that moved the main ones to the left. Tablet UI consists of having the whole SystemUI at the bottom, not just the buttons on the left...
You could recreate the whole code, but that would be a bit hard to do...

I see what you mean - i would be happy with the buttons where one can reach it. The other changes of the UI don't bother me as much.
I can confirm MHL works perfectly fine on SGP312 (wi-fi only) on Android v 4.4.2 stock, and even with Phab7 it wont change to tablet mode for reasons mentioned above. Cant make it show something thats not there.
And a word of advise to people that see those cheap @SS MHL adapters on e-bay... spend the money on a good one or an official one from sony if its still avail... cause I bought a cheap one from china, and now it flickers because the power cord connection is starting to get loose, so now I need to bend the cord back at the connector or the picture will disconnect. Thank god for DUCT TAPE.
Stock CM latest nightly has no mhl support?

Have you tried using PIE? I enabled PIE on the left side of my screen using Xposed and Gravitybox and that helps me avoid using those awfully placed (IMO) buttons.

So can you get pie on the latest stock Sony rom? I had LMT working on the old stock rom and got on really well with it. IMHO pie doesn't have as good a functionality as LMT did.
I don't have PC access at the moment so is there a way to flash a stock rom from my current PAC custom rom?
Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure you can get pie with xposed+gravitybox but I haven't tried latest stock since everyone complains about it being laggy.
I haven't seen any flashable stock rom so I guess you'll need a computer.
Also I don't even know what's LMT so I can't tell if it's better or worse.

That sounds awesome! What version of Onmi are you talking about? I thought MHL was stock only.

Thanks for the info, shame about needing a PC but with abit of luck omni could be a winner. LMT was like pie but you could add layers of app shortcuts around the edge which gives you fast access to your favourites.
