How many using CM10.1 by After_Silence - Huawei MediaPad, T-Mobile SpringBoard

I can not post on the developer area so After_silence many thanks for your great work!
How many mediapad users using CM? After_silence has told that there are too few users out there using media pad, so he is no longer interested in developing for media pad. how many are we? I myself would love to continue using his excellent CM 10.1 and was eagerly waiting for BT to work on mediapad .
Sent from my Huawei MediaPad using Tapatalk 2

I want to install it but I'm using 301w model device and I'm not sure if it's going to work on it. I'm afraid to install it
I can't post to developer forums because I don't have enough post count so I'm middle of nowhere now.

just follow the steps and walla~ Jelly bean on mediapad!!

Hey I'm using S7303u and cm10.1 works fine, I'm currently working on porting AC!D MOD for all enhanced audio, beats, xloud and clear+, bravia2 to run on media pad, its almost ready just running into storage issues in the system partition, not enough room to fully flash my zip, libs and framework not flashing, causing boot loop, broke zip into two desperate zips, you can install one or the other, works fine, but I need all mods together with settings to manipulate sound. I hope his break isn't two long was really looking forward to new builds, guess I'll try and get Bluetooth working for now

here... also using CM10... tried the CM10.1 for testing... and it is okay... but i am using BT and HOTSPOT so i return back to CM10... also can't reply to the CM10 thread...
so maybe after_silence thought there were only few of us using his FIRMWARE... but if the 10 post LIMIT is not there... he would receive a lot of response... and user feedback...
thanks again... for the nice firmware... still looking forward for the 4.2.2 (CM10.1)...

I use too. And cannot post on developers forum too
But I caught bug: once I could not unlock screen. I pressed power button, screen turned on for a half a second and became off after this...
Then i pressed power button for a long time and pressed it again. Device turned off. After booting all works fine.

agreed, many thanks to the wonderful developers
i'm currently using aokp 30.1 final jb4.1.2, looking forward to bluetooth & most importantly more stable hdmi mirroring on the 4.2.2 nightlies though (so can output & play stuff like playstation emulator there or use with wireless keyboard/mouse as nice media pc on tv)
my device is mediapad s-301u

awesome. word has it he has got hdmi audio out now but no bluetooth right? well I suppose BT is not a deal breaker. could anyone comment on stability of HDMI out on new release as well as whether it supports external/internal SD swap as AOKP 30.1 Final did? (or perhaps if there is some other work around for it? got a lot of data hungry games)

Where to get the ROM's
Hey guys,
I'm currently running the Stock Springboard + ROOT and loving it. Theres only one problem though: if i fill up my 32GB SD card with music, the machine slow to a halt. I believe this is an OS issue. Does anyone know if the new ROM's take care of this issue? Bluetooth is important to me. I'd prefer everything working: HDMI, 4G, BT & hotspot. Can someone give me some advice and where to get the ROM's and which ones to get?
Cheers,
Zubin

TF201 CM9 Nightly Available

CM9 Nightly for Prime now available...has anyone tried this yet? I'm tempted to give it a whirl, but may wait for braver souls to give it a try first and report their findings...
http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=tf201
All the d/l links on the page http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=tf201 seem to be broken atm
you're right...didn't try that before posting that it was available. With the recent announcements of nightlies being available for other devices, probably just a matter of time before they get to us
Old news... been up for well over a month now.
Sent from my CM7 Atrix 4G
The date of the new build is for the 29th, its 12.33am on the 30th here in Australia. I hope they merged the 4.0.4 AOSP code into it.
I'll be back in 8 hours after a snooze, it would be sweet if the links were fixed by then. I've been hanging for cm to update the tf201 nightlies. The one before yesterdays was just under a month ago..

dude, there's a new build for the 29th...
All I am hoping for is that the keyboard dock at least works. Like, no soft keyboard pops up on dock use. If it has that, I have a new DD for my TF201.

[Edit] this begins running at 1.2ghz. using the cpu_overclock.bin from the TFP AOKP section by Jermaine cranks it up to 1.6...aaaand now it's perfect...really running great so far. minor market issues with compatibility but that's about all I can find. anything to look out for/test??

if so, take my first post, fill in the gaps for the link to the direct CM server, download the rom. transfer rom and latest ICS gapps (3/17) to your internal storage. boot into recovery, wipe, flash.
These seem to be working.

Its been decided that we won't use Cornerstone for the foreseeable future. The underlying implementation is not flexible and needs a lot of work.
It is 4.0.4. I forgot to get GAPPS before flashing, so Im downloading that now. It looks to be very AOSP right now. Will update in a minute
Edit- Having a issue with WiFi. I set it up and it works fine. I restart the tablet and it cannot connect and is stuck at "Turning on Wireless". Rebooting again has no effect. Toggling Airplane mode also has no effect.
Edit 2- Dock is working like it does with the AOKP- volume, lock, media, back button, and browser work, the other shortcut keys dont. It charges from the dock. Cameras work fine. Brightness works, but no IPS switch (duh). Overall, very promising! I hope the nightlies continue!

s-voice for ics only, even then it had to be modified as its exclusive for Samsung s3.
If it worked in gb even if it was not that good, surely it could be made to work in ics.

Mic and camera are at the bottom of the pile of things to do, getting an OS that was never designed for the TouchPad is no easy thing, drivers and wrappers have to be written from scratch with no support from HP. So have faith in the developers, remember most of them are either at full time work or school/college and are offering you there work for free, maybe you could ask HP to fix the camera and mic I think they would abandon that idea faster than they abandoned the TouchPad itself.

Exactly what BIGSimon said. CM9 is still ALPHA. Meaning some things will not work. Not everything that is released is perfect right away. Developing ROMs isn't always an easy task. What they have done in 5 months is pretty damn great.
yeah i know that. but i seem to recall that it at least halfway worked with cm7. plus, in a short time android will have another os version, jellybean or something. and then what? will cm9 be abandoned and work start with that one? and once again, the camera and mic will be pushed back down to the bottom of the list in order to work on more essential things? seems like a endless cycle

There's a big difference between Android 2.3.7 gingerbread and Android 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich which meant everything had to be re-written to work Android 5 jelly bean is more of an evolution of ICS so drivers will carry over, all the work that's been done now will mean that when JB is released the touchpad will get it a lot faster with everything working

JellyBean will be a minor update, it will have a version 4.1, it isn't as huge step as going from 2.3 to 4.0.
Anyway, sound is surely being worked on (developers (partially, maybe) have gotten rid of bad screen-off sound issue last week), and we will see some progress in a time. If you want a tablet with all features working out-of-the-box, i guess, you should buy another device.

Open WebOS, anyone interested?

Hi there, it's me again!
After being away for quite some time due to a lot of issues with my netbook, and being busy with school, I recently checked the progress on the Flyer. As expected, Dexter did an excellent job already on Jelly Bean.
I tried the ROM, and I gotta say I'm quite satisfied with it. FWIW, I am thinking about getting the 3.0 kernel from the DHD to run on the Flyer. But, I have another project I'm thinking about which sounds more interesting.
So, is anyone interested in Open WebOS on the HTC Flyer? I am considering to give it a try this week, but only if there is some potential interest from the community. It would pretty much be an effort where I try to combine various challenges: getting WebOS to boot, and getting the Raspberry Pi to compile Android kernels, since my netbook does a horrible job at this.
Please report if it sounds interesting for you, and if I get positive answers, I'll do some research on the structure of OWOS.
Although WebOS seems nice I'd rather see you beat the crap out of JB and try to get it fully working until you say "I can't take this any further".

I'm not sure, I actually think JB has 1 major dev working on it. Sometimes it's better to have multiple, good, mostly stable options too chose from than 1 completely perfect one.
That aside, I don't use bluetooth headset so some people who do really want the devs to pool their work into that.
I'm all for web os though. And dual boot (don't push yourself ) would be awesome.

I am using the latest JB ROM atm., and I'm wondering (since I haven't followed the development the last 2 months): what is really broken atm? Aside from bluetooth.
Mine VM with Ubunto is stil there for u if u decide to give Flyer some more of your time. Am I interested? I am interested in Flyer with as much hardware working posible; working BT for voice calls, music and movei playback. As long as those work well i dont care even if it is Win 3.11EE if it runs nice and smooth. However Geting camera and hw movie playback suport on JB would be very nice and would get the ROM to TOP level. U cracked those nuts on ICS; any way u give it a try on JB?
Welcome Back CHAOS I agree with Antis (even though I don't really Know the advantage of WebOs) i was hoping that You could do something like get the front camera working for Skype

No HW playback support, no cammera and videorecorde, some flickering i belive,... rest is nearlly all there! So close to top BUT BT is FIXED (no report if for calls as well but rest been tested and reported 100% working BT functionalities)

AOSPA is a nice little move from the occasional CM and AOSP. And don't get hopes up yet, it's still on 3.0.63

After testing it for a few days, I can tell you some of the problems I came across. When rotating between landscape and potrait I experience a little screen lag but nothing serious. Everything else seems to work perfect even the pie style bar and dpi settings in settings.
Edit: Oh, forgot to say that I dont think 10 touch work. I have the firmware installed but it only see's up to 4 fingers.
This doesn't work with the 8gb nook, it just shows a blank screen after the cyanogenmod boot so therefore I don't think it's compatible with 8gb nook and I would appreciate and others too would appreciate if they had instructions on here or compatibility with certain devices so users know what they are downloading.

however, the rotation bug (it shows deformed graphics for a second, then rotates the screen) is really annoying. it kinda kills the fluidness of the OS for me. I am gonna try CM10 i think before i decide what works best. I really wish he fixed the screen orientation switching bug. I'd donate if it led to such a fix.

what others have you tried? i have to admit i have just dusted off my NT after a year or so of neglect. I only put the PA3 on it so far, was gonna try to flash SGT7+CM10.1 tonight, should i bother? is there any ROM you recommend?
I do love the clarity of the images when using PA3 (i have no idea if they will differ on others).

Yes. I have experienced the exact same issue with the newest CWM 6.xxx and TWRP recovery. No idea why though.

Try this http://goo.im/devs/succulent/acclaim/paranoidandroid/internal/pa_acclaim-2.99.1-17JAN2013-16-HD.zip .
This Paranoid Android 2.99+. Everything seems the same except for PIE is not in.

[Q] I just want a ROM that works 99%

Running on a Xperia Go, and I'm getting tired of struggling with my phone, stock firmware was incredibly slow and bloated, FXP Cyanogenmod 9 worked most of the time, when it didn't freeze or just turn off my phone, but now they stopped development.
FREACK's Cyanogenmod 11 works beautifully and fast, when the Wifi or network connection isn't going down 3 times a day
This is not a ***** thread though, I realise and respect the amount of work it takes to port a ROM to an unsupported device. All I'm asking is for a ROM that is not going to let me down, no freezing, working camera and video, working data and network connection, working Wifi, that doesn't lag to hell, GPS, etc. Example, a ROM for daily use.
I just want some feedback, what works for you? I don't need the latest greatest Android port (thought that would be nice) and I don't have time to install and test a new ROM every 2 weeks.
And some of you may ask, what is the 1% I don't care about working? well FM Radio, what is this, the 1950s?
Many thanks in Advance.
Maybe that explains why FXP gave up, this sub is dead...

Hi dude,
You could use the AOSX rom developed by wanxp, that thread is active and almost all the features are working except fm radio, wifi direct and music a2dp, this is the rom that I use atm cuz I hardly use radio and wifi direct.. in fact I've never used those features -.- You could also try Munjenis CM11, but then again the bluetooth fails sometimes! Even though it says that it works properly in the OP. It doesn't. Frankly, the BEST LAG FREE rom that I've come across is the CM9.1 rom! Unfortunately its not available for download anymore -.- and I deleted my backup of it after I ragequit after my Xperia Go broke and I started using my Note -.- But I managed to fix it and I'd like to use CM9.1 again.. Can you please upload it for everyone or PM it to me??

Thank you SO SO much! Haha I see you've decided to stick with CM9! Great choice! I only say that this is the best rom ever is because it doesn't start to lag over time and everything works great(except for radio.. but you can always download an app!) and gaming is great with no lags(I usually test with Despicable Me and Most Wanted2)! So thank you very much!
