[Q] OTA ICS statusbar mods - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to change the status bar on santod's debloat ICS? I hate the Sense status bar. I flashed some mods built for the leaked ICS build but I just got sent into a bootloop, so I restored my backup.
While we're at it, is there anyway to change the reboot menu?

Mods from the leak won't work because they were made for 4.0.3 and the official release is 4.0.4. The framework is totally different from the leak now also.

I figured it was something along those lines. The bootloop pretty much just confirmed my suspicions. Are we just waiting on the 4.0.4 source?

No there is only one dev that is really working on anything at the moment and he doesn't want to spend his time messing with individual mods.

So chances are the ICS update won't really get modded at all? I'll have to get on that...

Well the stock version probably not. Santod has most of these mods in his builds already.

From AT&T's site:
AT&T released a software update for the LG Optimus G (E970) to be downloaded via Wi-Fi or over the cellular network. The software update is being pushed to customers via firmware-over-the-air (FOTA). However it is obtained, there is no charge for the update.
This update will fix the issue in which users would sometimes get a blank screen when accessing the browser. This software package will update the Software version to E97011c.

Don't bother. I never got the update either, and if you don't have a browser problem it's not a big deal.

it's definitely the kernel killing root. just revert back to your old kernel until he can fix this. I tried reflashing supersu.zip and that failed.
Ya the new kernel kills root. You have to disable something in the source
Flashed back to old kernl and all is golden. Very excited for this one

well... mine isn't any stable either. I think trusty version is only for nexus phones. So we cant use trusty as base, it will give boot loop no matter what. So you will have to go with saucy and remove its bugs
Try my build n5 with saucy. I'm trying trusty tahr port.

Houstonn needs to know people want a thread so let's let him know!

Slightly related, anyone know when he's going to build a JLS kernel for the official CM 10.2? The stock one is kind of limited, and none of his JSS/JWR kernels will boot with it. (Not to mention that the proximity/light sensor seems like it's busted in the current nightly ...)

Official CM 10.2 is based off of the e975 kernel, not a nexus 4 kernel, which is why none of them will boot.

Looking for Kitkat for Note 2

Is there any new of Official Update for Galaxy Note 2 kitkat 4.4?
Not for Verizon. There is the non-lte version rolling out. I think I read yesterday that the 7105 version was leaked. May 23rd (highly unlikely) is the rumored date for the OTA to start rolling out.
If you needed kit Kat, there are AOSP roms out now.

BTW if you are using your verizon note 2 for something other than verizon such as Straight Talk or AT&T or T-mobile, you can install the AT&T version on your phone. I have been using it and it works right out the box and its stable as well. It is called EZKat. Do NOT try it for Verizon since I have not tried it. The only one i tried it for is Straight talk.
EDIT: I am not sure what is working and what is not. I used the GPS today and it worked. The phone itself is working. The data is working. The apps are working so is the style. I have no had it crash on me YET.
