Hello All, some time ago I'm walking with a problem bothering me now and taking my sleep because the IMEI of my cell phone was the generic because some months ago I decided to delete the efs folder and let the phone itself regenerate this folder ..
But as I was a beginner yet this season, I knew I had to be backed up, well, with all that time I was using this IMEI generic without worry because the network was normal, and a week ago I started have problems, not taking over the network.
So I started searching around on the internet in xda forum and found some useful topics, but nothing helped me, I search on my phone and found a folder efs lost on the memory card, I decided to put it in place of which was with the IMEI and generic BINGO, the IMEI again the original bad no network yet :/
I was wondering if I could be in error code CSC because I'm using the stock rom 4.1.2 complete with modem and everything, that test version remember?
detail: i'm brazilian.
if anyone can help me .. with the generic IMEI phone is working, and the ORIGINAL it does not work .. the phone is not locked and the IMEI is not blacklisted .. I thank those who read

Hello ! I read a bit on the forum about this problem and I found out that my IMEI still is right but now I've put an official ROM but branded carrier and I get this message. After some digging I ended up using Cyanogen 10.1 and applying Ariza patch which made my phone to be working again. I am wondering can't I have the official ROM but getting it working somehow? After reading a bit I've done myself a backup of the EFS partition just in case to have it.

I manually installed XXUFME7 Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and everything worked fine until I had a problem with "safe mode". I did everything to exit, but I could not. So I decided to go back and install the official 4.1.2 Jelly bean. I did, but it did not solve my problem. I decided to still reinstall version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. But I find that I have no network. The wireless works fine but I can not call or receive communication. Checking, I see that my original IMEI has changed and now starts with 0049 when he was beginning by 3554 .... So all these manipulations made me lose my IMEI. In addition, I never saved the efs directory of my smartphone. What can I do to get the IMEI of origin of my smartphone?
My /efs folder is empty !!! Why ?

hello guys,i have a s3 ,i installed neat rom with 4.3 and then i had a problem i was conected to the network and when i made a call it didnt work.
i flashed the xxemg4 modem worked then i installed the s4 revolution 9.1 but i had the same problem i installed again the xxemg4 modem but it not works,i flashed then a 4.1.2 firmware with odin,but i had the 00499******00 imei problem i flashed a 4.3 rom i had back my imei,but i can make calls
i made a efs backup,but i cant restore i,its a tar.gz that the neat rom made before flashing,but i cant restore it.so any help guys

Your emei is stuffed if it starts with 0...
Dont go replacing /efs unless last resort. You need to flash a stock rom in odin. If your on 4.3 now just flash stock 4.3. That should get your emei back. Dont worry about baseband. It can be whatever as long as you have emei. Also check you have an APN as that is often reason for no calls.

i 've formated accidentaly" my cat or a gosth" my efs partition with efs pro and now i 'dont have network anymore ;(
i would like to know if there is a solutions to get back my original imei and my original serial number and then get back my network and a fully operational phone
i ve read a lot of tutorials , etc but no one for editing completely EFS PARTITION with imei editing or else by hexeditor nothing work
my phone : a galaxy Samsung SIII 32go !
i've gaven it to a Professional store but, they don't have fix this and i've paid them !!!;(
please please if somebody can help me it be a real Christmas present coz i 've spend a lot money to buy this phone and know ...

Restore the efs backup you took before formatting efs. No backup then you need a better service centre, nothing you can do yourself.

i have the same problem, accidently erased EFS folder and now im in trouble with no network and 00499* IMEI.
done lots of search and found way with nv reader/writer tool but it only works on qualcomm chips, wish there was something as simple for exynos s3 also.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm new to this site and new to posting anything about Androids. I just got into the Android last year.
Please forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong forum.
I have an LG G2 D803 (Rogers Canada). I inherited this at a local auction along with some household junk that I don't need. I tried putting in my SIM card but the IMEI is blacklisted..
The past few days I've been searching the net to figure out how I can fix this but so far no luck. I did find a method that will apparently allow me to write a new IMEI to it which I'm sure many of you are familiar with (QPST, RF NV Item Manager), but I think that's not working for me because that method only works if my phone has no IMEI at all.
My question is: How can i DELETE the IMEI on my phone, and/or make it null/zeros or whatever, so I can write a new IMEI to it? Or, how can I change it altogether? The phone is rooted. I want to use the IMEI of one of my old phones (a Samsung Galaxy S) onto this LG so I can use it. It seems like a great upgrade from my old phone.

Posted in wrong section but changing the IMEI is illegal in many places, phone maybe stolen or insurance job, would sell for parts
