Hello. My name is Tim and I am totally new in flashing. I have few questions:
1. I tried a lot of roms but some of them didn't worked... ex. Virtuous Eclipse boot up but stuck on logo screen... All gingerbread roms boot up and keep rebooting.... what's wrong here?
2. What hboot and radio version u recommend?

Ok, with these known I know how to help you: on that bootloader you cannot install any roms except ics sense-based. For all others, downgrade your hboot to 1.49 (lots of topics for that round here, you just download the P86IMG to root of sd card, reboot in bootloader and accept the install). Then you will be able to use any roms you wish. Have fun
Thanks for quick reply... I downgraded it to 1.49 (Virtuous Eclipse now works perfect), but still - Gingerbread not(freeze in enter PIN, then restarts - bootloop).... I would like to try some gingerbread roms... Help again?

When you download a CUSTOM ROM it should say if it works with hboot 1.49.For example i have Elegancy ROM and it works for hboot 1.50 or lower.
Look up for ROMs that work with your Hboot

It's a gsm, shooter_u, if that helps you any.
Have you tried to get into recovery via fastboot boot recovery.IMG?
Maybe someone that knows more than me will chime in, but I think your boot didn't get overwritten because of s-on, so you might be able to flash a mostly stock Rom and it'll boot, that's just a guess though. Only other thing you could probably do is fastboot recovery and then you can flash whatever you want.

Hi all im having a issue with my phone
When i turn it on it boots up to the Kingcobra 3d ics V1.5 where it says HTC Quietly brillent and just freezes. doesnt do anything after that :\

From all I've read on these forums, ICS does not play well with being s-on. I recommend you find the sticky in the gsm development forum that has to do with getting s-off and follow that. You did not say if you are on gsm, but I assume so judging by your choice of ROM.

It is because of the lack of firmware installation ( PG86IMG.ZIP )
and while you are s-on you can't install the firmware
so gain s-off here
then install the firmware from the OP of KingKobra then install the ROM
but i recommend Mwakious3DROM
I have to agree , you want s-off or else you can't flash firmware or radios from recovery.

all shpuld be good just flash 1.0.3 and choose gsm in aroma installer and make sure to boot to the bootloader to flash the ph98img file it extracts to your sd (cuz your s-on the boot.img needs to flash in hboot) i would suggest running the full ruu first to update your radios and hboot. tho it is not required.. here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...ull-ruu-build-4-03-605-2-for-the-htc-rezound/ just lock your bootloader, run update as ph98img, unlock reflash your custom recovery, and then flash viper 1.0.3 fresh. if you need additional help i can give you my gtalk i can help with updating, flashing a new rom, or s-off..

I havent used the gsm option since Im on verizon, but its currently my favorite rom. Combined with the vinylfreak kernel famouscollin recommended to me I now have amazing battery life. I was able to use viperRez when my phone was still on the shipped gingerbread firmware, so you should be ok.

i am trying to make backup for my current rom using recovery tool but i cant make it, itshows error..
i am using RA revampad
Build: RA-VIGOR-v3.15-getitnowmarcketing.
I select nand backup, and then it shows "Oops something went wrong! Please check the recovery log!"
i dont know what to do now. please help me for this. i am really really confused now...

Yo, I've seen that error with having an unformatted or missing sdCard.
You might wanna try a different one, or take that one out and format it
with a computer or another phone.

You can flash this rom S-on. Works fine for me. Just make sure you flash the kernel in fastboot!

i just tried to root my friends evo 3d.
After following the HTCDEV.com-Method (and installing revolutionary) i tried to install a rom (LeeDrOiD 3D 5.4).
After flashing the rom i just get a bootloop with the white HTC-Screen.
Here's some Info i got in the bootloader:

Did you make a backup? #1 rule when flashing
What recovery are you using?
Be sure to wipe all partitions before you flash
Also the Rom thread should give you requirements..ie hboot and such

Sadly i did not do a backup.
The leedroid loading icon actuallY shows for a second before the phone restarts.
My next Guess would be To install the gingerbread stock Rom. I will try that when i get home.
Any other ideas?
If youre s on, your choices are limited to stock based roms for the most part.
I have read a few posts about smartflash and flashing boot.IMG through fastboot, but I am s off and have personally never needed to do that.
So yes, start by flashing stock, to get you running.

Ever get it going? I have a cdma version with sprint that has a clean esn and working board but f'ed up lcd/digitizer. If your bricked for real or wanna just swap out boards then this will work great for you. And fyi its Eng Hboot 1.04 SOFF with revolutionary tool. was an original 1.40 hboot before the whole dev unlock crap that doesnt work for sh*t. my post about it is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282485 you can get at me with a PM if your interested.

Go to mwakious 3d rom thread. All step by step instructions are given their with bootloader. Use 4ext recovery to flash this rom. It should work 100%
Hi All. I'm sorry to ask this question again but I've been to the other threads and they are pretty old and I'm finding some of the links are not working and I don't want to start until I have everything I need.
I've had my Rezound for many many years and it's time to move on so I need to get this thing back to lookin like I never tampered with it. If someone could point me to a thread that works or help with this that would be most appreciated.

I think, you must unlock bootloader first here (your phone is s-off now). Video on youtube (see untill flash custom recovery)
Then see here: How to remove your "tampered" banner.

After lock the bootloader: from fastboot "fastboot oem lock" (command without ".") and flash stock rom
Finaly your phone will have the status: relocked, s-off, stock rom.

I think no, but 100% not sure. For other HTC phone I saw the instructions but for rezound - no.
