Hi All. I'm sorry to ask this question again but I've been to the other threads and they are pretty old and I'm finding some of the links are not working and I don't want to start until I have everything I need.
I've had my Rezound for many many years and it's time to move on so I need to get this thing back to lookin like I never tampered with it. If someone could point me to a thread that works or help with this that would be most appreciated.

I think, you must unlock bootloader first here (your phone is s-off now). Video on youtube (see untill flash custom recovery)
Then see here: How to remove your "tampered" banner.

After lock the bootloader: from fastboot "fastboot oem lock" (command without ".") and flash stock rom
Finaly your phone will have the status: relocked, s-off, stock rom.
Thanks g-ray666. That worked just fine although the link for the latest RUU never worked. I found an older version which is fine. Is there any way to get S-on?

I think no, but 100% not sure. For other HTC phone I saw the instructions but for rezound - no.

Hi All,
I did a research on the forum but couldn't find the answers. Could someone please help me?
The scenario:
I was S-On and rooted then relock and RUU back to install the recent OTA.
Then I tried to unlock and flash the Amon Ra Recovery using Hasson's AIO toolkit v2.1.
Now my HBOOT is look like below and my phone is rooted and able to operate normally.

Questions:
1) Can I still install custom ROM with the "TAMPERED" status? If not, how to solve this?
2) I saw some screen shot with HBOOT 2.27, RADIO 2.22.10, and the date is Aug 6, 2012. I supposed my phone has been updated to the latest but it seems not. How can I get there?

1) Yes, that particular message does not affect functionality. It reads "Tampered" on the stock bootloader if a custom recovery is installed.

Hello. My name is Tim and I am totally new in flashing. I have few questions:
1. I tried a lot of roms but some of them didn't worked... ex. Virtuous Eclipse boot up but stuck on logo screen... All gingerbread roms boot up and keep rebooting.... what's wrong here?
2. What hboot and radio version u recommend?

Ok, with these known I know how to help you: on that bootloader you cannot install any roms except ics sense-based. For all others, downgrade your hboot to 1.49 (lots of topics for that round here, you just download the P86IMG to root of sd card, reboot in bootloader and accept the install). Then you will be able to use any roms you wish. Have fun
Thanks for quick reply... I downgraded it to 1.49 (Virtuous Eclipse now works perfect), but still - Gingerbread not(freeze in enter PIN, then restarts - bootloop).... I would like to try some gingerbread roms... Help again?

When you download a CUSTOM ROM it should say if it works with hboot 1.49.For example i have Elegancy ROM and it works for hboot 1.50 or lower.
Look up for ROMs that work with your Hboot

Hello, I would like to know what is the best was to remove the tampered & un-locked from the fastboot screen. I need to return my One for a warranty claim (top speaker crackles). And from my experience returning 2 htc one X, the fist thing they do is fastboot the phone!
What I have done: used HTC dev to unlock bootloader, used clockwork mod to Root (following a instructional video). the only other thing I did was follow some instruction to allow me to turn on the hotspot. (the only reason I rooted)
I have also reading threads thought that I should get S off and then I could remove the tampered, then load a stock rom in order to return.
I tried to use HASSOON 2000 all in one, no luck. I also tried to use REVONE and I get error -6.
That's where I see all kinds of info as what to do. So I thought I would pose the question. What is the best way to achieve my goal, get tampered & un-locked off, just so I can return my phone :silly: I am a Noob, but comfortable playing around with my phone.

I was trying to unroot my phone and return to stock HTC Sense because I was having issues with the latest cyanogenmod and didn't want to deal with it anymore while I waited for the Samsung Galaxy note 4 to come out. After reading several tutorials I downloaded the latest Cingular RUU from a link on another thread here. I connected my phone through fastboot and ran "fastboot oem lock". After that when I ran the RUU it made it to where it begins the process and after the process started it gave me "error 158: image error". It's now stuck in fastboot and I can't find a way to get out of it, I've only ever installed custom roms through custom recovery so any concepts you say to try will probably be new to me so link to a tutorial or something. (I did try two RUUs from two different sources).

You have a very old hboot 1.44
you need to flash an old RUU first then a more recent one.
after the first RUU you should consider getting the phone s-off as it gets harder with the newer 1.57 hboot

After you flash that your phone will try to update to 4.xx.502.x
if you want s-off don't take the update, instead unlock the bootloader and flash a custom rom and bulletproof kernel and get s-off with rumrunner or firewater

If i understand correctly there is no way for me to unlock the bootloader or s-off or even flash the ROM to aa earlier version.
I've tried firewater, rumrunner, moonshine, tried manually flashing with fastboot/adb and a million different zips. Each return error 12.
Ive watched a ton of videos and read a lot. The only thing I think I found that would be useful is sunshine but even that is not updated to 3.0 yet which supposedly will be able to s-off and unlock the 1.57.
Either I missed something or I need to wait till sunshine updates.
Just need someones' quick thought on this because maybe i overlooked something.
