[Q] Is there an up-to-date sticky INDEX of SGS3 ROMS ? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I've recently upgraded from an SGS2 and was always grateful to the ROM INDEX thread that was regulary maintained and provided quick links to regulary updated roms of various flavours. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529173)
I was just wondering if there was a similar index thread on the go for SGS3.. if there is I can't find it so some pointers would be nice. :good:
If there isn't.. then hey ho
cheers in advance

Thanks.. I think?
I know what stickies are for. And as I stated I just couldn't find it.
You may (or may not) deduce from my registered date vs post count I'm pretty self sufficient.. it's rare I ask a question or can't find what I need to know by searching and reading. I apologise if I offended your sensibilities. God help me for posting a question in the .. erm.. Q&A /Help forum

[Q] Downgrade to generic ROM?

It turns out that H3G Desires are shipping with version 1.22 of the RUU ROM, which means that I can't simply follow conventional guides to debrand it. Is there any way to downgrade to a generic ROM so that I can upgrade to FroYo?
Thanks
Welcome to XDA!
Please use a search before posting a new thread.
Every hTC device have it's own forum and it's the first place to look for ongoing discussion about device developments.
Take a look [here] and if you can't find answer to your question post it in Desire Q&A.
As this is not really the right place to ask and next time at least try to include device name in thread.

Thanks for that. I did do a search before hand but I probably searched for the wrong terms, as I've found a half related thread in the forum you linked.

If you have a look in Xperia General, you'll find a whole lot of stuff...

Hi Chris, just a heads up mate - a better place to ask questions is in the X10 Q and A sub-forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=745) or in the x10 General sub-forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=615). This sub-forum (Development) is for the clever guys that are attempting to hack/mod/change the way our phones work for the better - we have to try not to clutter it up with general stuff.
To answer your questions, rooting means that you gain the ability to have root access. in unix/linux terms - this is a god-like user that can do anything. normally the user is limited as to what they can do but with root you can edit system files, delete protected files, anything you want. as i can see from your first post, you already have 2.1 installed so you will need to use the SuperOneClick root method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824788)
Good luck, and remember - dev forum is for devs only

Another rule is don't start threads about threads to ask about things already answered in the thread you've already read.

You know there is a full section of the forum for the questions [Q], "Galaxy SII Q&A ", you posted in the android development, this is the wrong section.
Also a bit of more effort on use the search tool of the forum isnt a bad idea, that question got asked at least two hundred times and it's full of answers if you use the search tool.
Anyway...

here you can find all the stock roms with the how to flash it.

#1 thing wrong here:
XDA is a development site not a support site. As such members are expected to do the research, read through the development threads and decide what is BEST for them. The only results that would be posted here are what each member has found to be BEST for them by experimentation based on their phone/usage/setup/apps/signal strength. Please take the time to read through those development threads to learn all about the software you are about to drastically alter your very expensive device with.
#2 thing wrong here;
This is the General section all Questions and request for assistance belong in the Q&A section.
Please familiarize yourself with the XDA rules located at the very top of every forum section.
