Urgent help required. No signals after restore - HTC One X+

Hi , I was running the viper rom and i did a system restore from the backup i made early a few months ago. When i booted back in to the stock rom i cant get any signal from my carrier or wifi. What do i need to do?

Did the restored ROM was working flawlessly few months back?
You should simply restore your latest known working ROM then download a fresh new version of your intend ROM and start from scratch. Don't forget to flash the correspondent boot.img file before the first reboot.

Hi thanks for your reply, Yes the previous rom was the stock rom and it worked perfect. I just restored the rom from the bootloader

Ant78 - have you got a boot.img that allows rooting of the stock rom?

Quick follow-up question: Updating PACman Rom, can I just update it without wiping anything? (which would be nice! )

While you can boot and use the rom without wiping, some users found that a couple bugs appeared, and then after a factory reset they got it working. So I guess it won't hurt to try, right?
Updating from what to pacman? If it's another rom you need to do full wipe and format /system
No, just updating from pacman alpha 11 r2 to alpha 12. I think I will try later on after doing a backup and then see if everything works well.

I am not able to root my i9300 on stock ROM 4.3

Hello,
I bought my SGS3 more than a year ago. It came with 4.0.4 (ICS), I inmediately changed the ROM to have a pure Samsung one (I live in Mexico, so I wanted to get rid of the TELCEL ROM). After some months I changed the ROM to Jelly 4.1.2 and I kept the phone with it.
I always have rooted my phone without any issues, in order to be able to make backups with "titanium backup" app, so everytime I change the ROM....I do first a backup and then I flashed, so I have to be able to root the phone in the next ROM.
I read about the 4.3 release in October 2012, but after a week I read that too many issues were going on.....so I decided to wait.
So finally, I saw XXUGMK6 from "samsung-updates.com" page and I downloaded it.
I researched a little bit about the official ROM and the version XXUGMK7 was released then, so I decided to change it with this version.
Once I flashed the phone with this ROM everything looked fine, so I proceed to "root" it using ChainFire procedure (CF-Auto-root), but I have not been able to do it!!
I already read a lot of threads looking for solutions, I followed the indications..........but it is not rooted.
I got the right Odin Version, the right ZIP for rooting (CF-Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300.zip)........followed the OP by ChainFire.....but it does not work.
So.....I humbly ask for help, I really do not want to go back on 4.1.2 because not been succesfull in rooting.
Regards,
Guile

Step. 3 Flash SuperSU

with a deodexed rom it makes it much easier for removing of apps for instance i was able to get rid of nearly all the htc apps, twitter and facebook... when i originally tried to do it with rom toolbox before it would only uninstall the updates and still leave the original app... also with this it should conceivably be easier to start porting roms to our phone...

I dont know truth be told.. there are some differences between the at&t model and the eu model... so i wouldn't advise trying it but.. i do know that some people who have the eu model have flash the at&t rom successfully... as always I can't take any responsibility for any problems occur from flashing it..

Working ROM for Samsung SM-T211????

I have tried numerous ROMS, but the only one, that worked was a prerooted original Samsung 4.1.2 ROM, that was fully loaded by Odin.
All other ROMS are stuck in the boot process.
I have done:
Install root - CWM or similar
Wiped
Install ROM
Any suggestions for a Kit-Kat ROM, that is debloated and working?

Go to this link and download stock 4.4 and flash it with odin. Then reflash twrp and then try the custom roms. I think that you still have JB bootloader. Need to upgrade to KK to get the bootloader.

Doesn't matter I don't think. You have to flash that firmware with Odin and the device in download mode. Once it's finished you'll have stock 4.4 and the KK bootloader. Then reflash cwm with Odin, then use cwm to install the custom ROMs.
