so what it looks like from their git use the patch from the i9000 and modify the code to fit the fascinate. also I have something to throw at y'all, I'll do it through PM though.
EDIT: so y'all may need to remind me to send you guys that pm with something I picked up at the vibrant forums.
if I can locate the link again I'll just put the link on here.

Thanks guys. I'm really excited to see what u guys can do. I have tried bbrad's aokp mr1 build and unjustified's pac which were both superb roms. I hope u guys can do the same with the new miui v5 rom. if u guys get stuck on anything, weblexa was the developer that worked on miui for the fascinate in the past. He definitely knows a thing or two.
keep me updated because this excitement is going to kill me. haha

Don't forget .Also TeamRegular is going to build from source our own Roms from scratch based off of AOSP with lots of cherry-picks.

Let me know if you want to become a member. I will soon add the fascinate. I plan on adding some Devs from here.

I realize in my own testing that Wifi tether FCs as well as selecting volume from sound settings.. For now use root file manager to delete Wifi Tether and re-install or use stock Tether app. As for Volume just use your volume buttons lol. Both will be fixed in the next release
Sounds good. Neither should be a problem for me as I always use my volume buttons and I don't tether. thanks for the heads up though!
Edit: just saw link downloading now.

At this point does this Rom have anything the other AOSP roms don't?
I like to see AOSP. Very exciting to see more developing with it.
Its kind of a blend of cm7 and Team Xrons. I took what I liked out if both of them while trying to maintain as much stock aosp as possible eg. no adw. I am working on a Miui port and also may be close to nailing down what's causing the Bluetooth problem. I could use help with that actually. Hopefully this is the first of many to come as I learn more and more. Also expect a custom kernel from me soon!

Spare Eris needed for .35 Kernel development

I'm reposting this for MongooseHelix, but without his knowledge (yet). Re: [ROM] AOSP 4.0.3 ICS | Evervolv | Big Update Coming...tests & info in recent posts:
MongooseHelix said:
I haven't had much time recently and heading out to meet some friends shortly but wanted to give people something to think about. I was considering how I could swing getting an Eris over to riemer in the Netherlands so he could work on the kernel with it in hand. Either finding someone here with an "extra" that they are willing to sell or from somewhere like eBay. I know it would help him a lot to actually have one if he does help us out and he's much more capable than I in terms of quick progress

FYI, There has already been positive progress and a working .35 Kernel along with ICS. I've been using his ROM as my daily for 2-3 weeks now, and using Beta 2 Test 3 (available at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25604607&postcount=328) since it came out and fairly happy and excited about it.
Will this kernel work on other Gingerbread ROMs? For example, CM7.2?

Don't know, but I doubt there would be any harm (disclaimer!) in making a nandroid and trying it. What it takes to do that, though, I don't know without researching. Best to ask MongooseHelix in his ROM thread, though. He may already know the answer.

[ROM] - Work in Progress - [4.1.2]MIUI v4.1

If I'm not posting in the correct section, please move this thread.
I'm currently in the process of porting MIUI.us v4.1 to our Note from the Galaxy SII (GT-I9100). Once I have it up and running I'll make the thread all pretty and whatnot..I have a build completed but it doesn't install (gives me a status7 error), so if anyone wants to look at it and make modifications or give me pointers (this is my first ROM port) you're welcome to it. I'm posting a link in the OP here.

Status 7 error typically, it indicates that your recovery is outdated.

zefir738,
Edited the title of your OP to add "Work in Progress" and have moved to Development, good luck in your endeavors.
I've recently tried to port another ROM for Skyrocket to i717 too and got a status 7. My recovery is up to date. Think it has something to do with permissions in updater-script. This is my second attempt at porting. I tried porting Paranoid Android for the Infuse and only got it to the boot animation screen. Then someone else already built and posted the ROM so I gave up. Good luck on your port. Can't wait to give it a try.

Check updater script. Its trying to set permissions for invoke-as and TCP dump in xbin. Those files are missing from xbin.
For experimental purposes I deleted those lines in updater script and it installed and then went into boot loop. No status 7 errors.
Also there a symlink that seems out of place towards bottom of script.

Hey, thanks for helping out and doing these builds for us. I just wanted to ask if the newest version of HALO could be integrated into a stable (or nightly) version of Vanilla Rootbox. The most recent version has a few changes that, in my opinion, make the feature much easier to use.
