SCH-I605 Vanilla Rootbox General Chat - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I am starting this thread to divert the general conversation from the development thread. Please feel to chit-chat about anything regarding Rootbox, or at least reference Rootbox in some way. If you want, post nighties that you have compiled, fixes, possible fixes, themes, additions, pictures, whatever.
Let the discussion begin.......................

Nice, hopefully dlsolo will come post his builds!

Nightly's are back now. Running 7/16 build. Pretty steady so far.

Just build a 7-17. It's uploading to my dropbox, so it should be available in the next 10-15 minutes.
Once done, you can find it here - - > https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0b3dzux5z7frl8u/mJJtcsa8t3
Help me build up my Thanks (I have low self-esteem, LOL).

Any significant changes you could glean from the 7/16? Only ask because github can be annoying to look at

Hey, thanks for helping out and doing these builds for us. I just wanted to ask if the newest version of HALO could be integrated into a stable (or nightly) version of Vanilla Rootbox. The most recent version has a few changes that, in my opinion, make the feature much easier to use.

I believe there have been 2 major updates to HALO since the version that comes with Vanilla Rootbox.

[Q] Any beta testers out there?

Anyone down to test the newest ROM being put together by myself and tehbeetus? I'll update the OP with a link if I get enough responses.
It's as AOSP as it gets, ~500MB of RAM free continuously, stock AOSP lockscreen, stock AOSP icons, super sleek and fast. It's awesome so far.
We're just looking for some beta testers right now. Built from the Nexus S 4G dump and from my other ROM. The ROM is running fine, just need others to report back on any issues they get before we release this into the wild for good.
EDIT: Here's the beta.

In case you didn't know, full wipe (user data, cache, dalvik) is required, otherwise it might not work at all.
I'd backup those wimax keys too.

[ROM] - Work in Progress - [4.1.2]MIUI v4.1

If I'm not posting in the correct section, please move this thread.
I'm currently in the process of porting MIUI.us v4.1 to our Note from the Galaxy SII (GT-I9100). Once I have it up and running I'll make the thread all pretty and whatnot..I have a build completed but it doesn't install (gives me a status7 error), so if anyone wants to look at it and make modifications or give me pointers (this is my first ROM port) you're welcome to it. Status 7 error typically, it indicates that your recovery is outdated.

zefir738,
Edited the title of your OP to add "Work in Progress" and have moved to Development, good luck in your endeavors.
I've recently tried to port another ROM for Skyrocket to i717 too and got a status 7. My recovery is up to date. Think it has something to do with permissions in updater-script. This is my second attempt at porting. I tried porting Paranoid Android for the Infuse and only got it to the boot animation screen. Then someone else already built and posted the ROM so I gave up. Good luck on your port. Can't wait to give it a try.

Check updater script. Its trying to set permissions for invoke-as and TCP dump in xbin. Those files are missing from xbin.
For experimental purposes I deleted those lines in updater script and it installed and then went into boot loop. No status 7 errors.
Also there a symlink that seems out of place towards bottom of script.

Carbon Rom and Ribbon Discussion Updated 5/30

Let me begin with stating my admiration for all devs. I can't do it. I have neither the knowledge nor the patience.
That being said, it seems all the new ROMs have to have three or more ROMs combined. Sometimes bigger is not better.
I would love to see an updated pure AOKP ROM for our device. We haven't had one since DAGr8 left for the Note II. AOKPs Ribbons are kick ass! I like them much better than PIE. You can set the ribbons to stay open and they don't disappear as soon as you lift your finger......and the long swipe to open the app drawer is great.
If you haven't seen them, here are a couple of screenshots of my N7.

Been on Carbon for close to 24 hours without a single glitch. Not the first random reboot. Data reception has been perfect.
The more I use the ribbons, the better I like them! Has just the right amount of customization without being confusing to this old man.

Pockets, I am using AOKP on my N7 since its an official device. It gives me the long swipe to open the app drawer and Steven Spears says there should be a nightlie either tonight or tomorrow that gives the ability to ad toggles to the ribbons.
