if u're heavy user u should get another phone or extended battery which make it pretty big
the main disadvantage in Rezound is the battery
the roms and performance is gr8

Development is pretty active, and I never had complaints about the performance, but the battery is absolute trash. Even with the extended, I was only getting 4 hours out of the screen.

I personally think this is a good phone overall. Its fast, has good camera, a beautiful screen, and has many hidden capabilities that you can uncover when you root it. However the battery life does suck. It could last you all day if you don't use it a lot,but if your a heavy user with it then you won't like it. But its all up to the user. I have the global ruu on it and it made the battery life better which i'm glad. I have it on T-Mobile

pro: performance, screen, camera, signal,
con: battery life,

have to tell you htc has stopped producing REZOUND for one year and a half. kinda out of date.

Your better off at this point paying for a note and unlock boot loader or get a HTC one+ or get what ever they make with a tega4i

yup, true. my guess is that this is not necessarily an upgrade that promises better batt life, because of the new screen. just a guess.

It's got 3 obvious things going for it that will definitely improve battery life.
1. Gingerbread which is better than Froyo for battery life among other things.
2. More efficient cpu plus it's dual core, which will help with battery life.
3. It's got a bigger battery that's 15% larger.

[Q] Evo 4G owners that have moved to Evo 3D

I'm curious if anyone that has moved from an Evo 4G to an Evo 3D has a used, rooted Evo 4G that gets good battery life that they might want to sell at a ressonable price.
My wife and I both got early, pre-ordered Evo's from one of the lots that just gets crappy battery life no matter what. April's not that far away, but at the right price I'd replace my wife's now. She has an extended battery (3500 mAh) and gets less than many of our friends do with the stock battery, and the stock battery is far worse.
Thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Thank you for your time.
I just got a used Evo 4G off ebay for $110 shipped. Rooting it is a piece of cake even on gingerbread now.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

If you get a evo throw CM 7 on it or whatever the latest CM is nowadays. Best battery life I have ever seen.

Whats the best sense based Rom for battery life?
Any ROM can achieve amazing battery life, just make sure you have setCPU and under clock the CPU. I get 5 days on minimal use on my 3D.

I would love to challenge this. I'm not calling BS because well, I don't know you and I just don't really do that but I DO want to know what type of usage you are doing. In my experience I can get a few days if I just pop on to text and check emails but not with anything past medium to heavy usage.
As for the 4G, YMMV so just read up on it. I agree CM plus custom kernel I probably got the best battery I have ever gotten on a phone period but everything past build 150 that started to decline. Sense based Roms I would suggest anything in the 2.1/3.0 hybrid family plus chop suey kernel. The 3.0 and 3.5 just never really ran right for an extended period for me and the battery was really quirky. Also, most of the 3.0 to 3.5 features were not really available in full form so it was kind of pointless.
I migrated at the beginning of the ICS releases so I would also check into those. I sometimes float back and they are FAR more advanced than we are right now.

[Q] Thoughts on EVO 3D?

Right now i have an Incredible S and fairly happy with it. Now i can get the EVO 3D for fairly cheap and was wondering is it a good for a small upgrade ? I've seen the specs and but specs aren't everything. What are your thoughts/feedback on the phone ? Read some reviews and is battery life really an issue or can that be fixed with a better ROM ?
Thanks.

other roms do have different battery use upon initial setup... the display has alot to do with it and if both cores are activated and running... some kernels only let the second core run " as needed" and others let it run full speed all the time keep in mind that the more background apps you have running the more battery life that will be used... so limit your start up apps and limit your core usage and you should have decent battery life....

[Q] Help Deciding Buying s3

I am planning to buy S3 and wanted to ask few questions about phone as I am choosing between S3 and One X+, my questions are

already many identical posts are available. take some time to search.
battery life is great!
the phone is not laggy until we use it too much heavily. i prefer S3. :good:
The battery life is excellent, you can choose to root it and fool around trying different kernels and ROMs to try to boost your battery life. Its not laggy at all.
Currently using slimROM . After 11 hours and 50 minutes on battery, and using it for a total 3 hours 45 minutes with GPS, WIFI, 4G, tons of texting, browsing, and Facebook use, its not bad. . You would probably get better life on stock since TouchWiz has a much better battery life than AOSP ROMs

[Q] what is the best rom in terms of performance and battery life

hello guys ...
I just wanna know what rom is the fastest I mean like incredibly fast ! with really low back ground apps which makes phone faster and gives battery better life capacity ...
like HTC for example I owned lots of HTC phones . one X sensation XL One M8 ... all of these phones are really quick when it comes to launching apps due to its low back ground cached apps ... so can any one help me with this ?

There is no 'best' ROM nor kernel, each and every user has their own setup. So User A might be using ROM A and have great battery life and the phone is super fast, whilse User B may experience poor battery life and a slow, bogged down phone.
The only way to find the best ROM for your setup is to experiment with different ROMs and see what you feel works the best for your setup.
