I installed JB 4.1 custom rom by BLU ... I dont know what happened... i lost my IMEI... They have mentioned something like I have to backup the IMEI and all.. I dont know.. i have not done that and now I have lost my IMEI... What do I do now ? i tried restoring back to the Stock provided in the 4.1 JB forum 14th page. Kindly help me out... I want to get back my IMEI somehow so that I will be able to use my phone. !

hello guys,i have a s3 ,i installed neat rom with 4.3 and then i had a problem i was conected to the network and when i made a call it didnt work.
i flashed the xxemg4 modem worked then i installed the s4 revolution 9.1 but i had the same problem i installed again the xxemg4 modem but it not works,i flashed then a 4.1.2 firmware with odin,but i had the 00499******00 imei problem i flashed a 4.3 rom i had back my imei,but i can make calls
i made a efs backup,but i cant restore i,its a tar.gz that the neat rom made before flashing,but i cant restore it.so any help guys

Your emei is stuffed if it starts with 0...
Dont go replacing /efs unless last resort. You need to flash a stock rom in odin. If your on 4.3 now just flash stock 4.3. That should get your emei back. Dont worry about baseband. It can be whatever as long as you have emei. Also check you have an APN as that is often reason for no calls.

First i woul'd like too thanks XDA and all people whom hepling me in this mystake !
i 've formated accidentaly" my cat or a gosth" my efs partition with efs pro and now i 'dont have network anymore ;(
i would like to know if there is a solutions to get back my original imei and my original serial number and then get back my network and a fully operational phone
i ve read a lot of tutorials , etc but no one for editing completely EFS PARTITION with imei editing or else by hexeditor nothing work
my phone : a galaxy Samsung SIII 32go !
i've gaven it to a Professional store but, they don't have fix this and i've paid them !!!;(
please please if somebody can help me it be a real Christmas present coz i 've spend a lot money to buy this phone and know ...
and i love this galaxy sIII it's an amazing phone

Restore the efs backup you took before formatting efs. No backup then you need a better service centre, nothing you can do yourself.

i have the same problem, accidently erased EFS folder and now im in trouble with no network and 00499* IMEI.
done lots of search and found way with nv reader/writer tool but it only works on qualcomm chips, wish there was something as simple for exynos s3 also.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the search facility to find the hundreds of similar posts. Unless you have a backup of your efs then you need to pay for a repair.

Guys yesterday I tried porting MIUI rom from Coolpad F1 8297w to Canvas Nitro A311.
The port was quite successful :good: , so to make it better, i restored my stock rom by TWRP.
But when the phone turned on, it showed an error "Sim card unplugged". I found that on dialing *#06# the IMEI shown was "Invalid IMEI".
Also in Settings/About Phone, the Baseband version showd "Unknown".
Now I am unable to make any calls or use internet. Please help guys.
I tried MTK Droid tools, but it shows "file adb not installed"
I re flashed stock rom by YGDP Tools several time but no solution.:crying:

I have fixed the unknown baseband issue. Even the mobile repair shops were unable to do it and were asking for 200 rs.

Use MAUI Meta 3g tools to fix your imei.
Just check youtube. You will find a video for A310. Just follow the steps.

You have to download stock rom in cpb format from needrom.com and have to flash it through ygdp tool and it will resolve your issue
