Does anyone know when the instant rebate offer will end from Sprint? Will it be renewed again like it has been so far or will it end before the Evo 3D is released?
I'm asking because I want to preorder the Evo 3D from Sprint, but if I have to go through a mail in rebate I might as well go to Radioshack.

Go with Radioshack anyways. They charge tax on the sale price of the phone, not the "without contract" price. I know cause I added on an EVO and Shift onto my account this weekend.

If there is no release date how can anyone answer that.... I'd say go through radio shack to be sure if u really Want to pre order it... otherwise wing it like I think I'm gonna..

lol good question, I figured since the phone is expected in June, maybe someone on here who works at sprint could have heard something about the deal being extended into July.....but i don't know.

Bo in general our company. Policy's suck...
I seen dozens of people complained how the sales associate pushed them into it or they basically force you to get upgrades/warranties/all the cases and chargers...
The phones are fine it's just some of the upselling could calm down
I watched one of my friends talk a 60 year old Guy into buying a ipad with at least 500 dollars worth of **** including warranty by telling him he "needs it"

Are you sure? Did this just start recently? They didn't tax me on the full price of the phone when I bought my Evo from BB last year. I still have the receipt. I was charged the two year upgrade rate of 199.00 for the phone and I bought a 35.00 case along with it. The subtotal was 234.98. Tax was 16.45. Total cost was 251.43. Tax rate in Indiana is 7 percent. Had I been charged tax on the full price of the phone which was what? 600.00? I would have paid almost 42.00 on the phone tax alone.
Now what they did do that I didn't like, was charge tax on the 50 dollar gift card which should have been deducted from the final tax cost but it wasn't so I paid 3.50 too much in tax.
Alright I pre-ordered it. The dude that worked there was cool... I almost thought they were closed because there was only 1 car towards the back and looked dark. Anyway the dude that worked there was really cool and we talked about the phone a little. He said he thinks early- mid June and also that he would personally call or email me when the release date is announced.

I believe you just go online and submit for that credit. Shouldn't matter where you buy the phone.
Sprint pretty much screwed me over and I am on the everlasting quest to find a sprint galaxy sIII.

Im going to be selling my evo lte soon, i want to get the note 2, i love the evo, i just want the bigger screen. Any suggestions on how to sell it, i have bestbuy buyback, but that wont really be enough for me to get the insurance again with the note 2,(Im planning on using my sister upgrade, she cant afford to buy a new phone anyways. If you're looking for someone to tell you you're making the right decision and you should go for it, then you should probably head over to the Note 2 section. You might get lucky here with some impatient people, but no one can make your mind up for you. If you want to sell your phone, there are hundreds of ways to do it, it just depends on what you're looking to get for it. Craigslist, eBay, hell, even the Market on this site. Please don't look for someone to make your mind up for you. Base your decision on actually using the two devices. When it comes out in the store, go there and play with it. They're on display for that reason. If you find that it's what you want, do what you need to in order to get your EVO sold, and then buy the Note 2.
Your best bet to sell it on ebay. Selling it local on Craigslist won't net you much. I've bought 2 EVO's on Craigslist for $200. And as newer phones like iphone 5 and Note 2 comes out, it only pushes the EVO's retail value even more down.

Last year Walmart had the GS2 (i777) in stock on release day. Incidentally I'll buy there on the 5/3 when my upgrade eligibility returns.
Just make sure to stop by an AT&T store after and have someone check your account if you're trying to keep unlimited data.

just as a heads up if you call at&t they will probably allow you to upgrade early. My upgrade was not available until May 8th and they told me I can upgrade. You will have to wait until Friday when the phone is released because they can't do preorders
Wal-Mart associate here. Good luck getting any new release phone. They are shipped my manufacturer at will and we cannot order them. Also replenishable stock on contract phones is almost non existant. I would have purchased mine from my employer early but the stock is just not there and never is. Wait a few weeks.

Because they get incentives from carriers for new contracts and renewals which they can pass on in the form of device discounts.

I wouldn't want anything Verizon. GSM is the way to go in our world. The HTC might sweeten the pot but not enough for me.
I would keep the Note.
As long as they're not stolen, take the trade then resell them and use the money towards a note 2 =)

the one X is a fine bit of hardware. Mind you it's far from my first choice, but like the other poster said, do the trade if they aren't stolen, sell one or both of them and buy yourself what you want, chances are you'll walk away with cash in your pocket and a newer phone. Though if he's offering 2 phones, both of which cost way more than the note's worth on the open market there's a VERY good chance that they're stolen. You know the saying, if it's too good to be true...

Yeah probably call thwmia best bet to check imei or whatever ............and the one x I think could be a unlockable device to switch carriers whenever and pretty specs are way better then our notw...all we have is a big screen honestly lol .. but I love my note without a doubt
