Well, if you've forseen this Master Jedi, then you should write a HOW-TO ROOT and FLASH document to help those out that may be interested. Also you should link how to write mods, and beginners walkthroughs on being helpful towards the development of new apps.

I head that there is root for the att One

To my understanding, the international HTC one thread has a root procedure, and is compatible with the AT&T HTC One, as well as a few ROMs.

So I just came from a local AT&T store and I got a chance to play with HTC One and I gotta say it's really nice guys. Coming from a HTC One X it's really going to be a big upgrade for you guys. With me having a droid DNA that's running sense 5 already it's not much of an upgrade for me I got to put both of the devices side by side and they feel exactly the same but still the HTC One is a absolutely beautiful beautiful device up close and personal. feels great in the hands too no homo lol

That'll be great but we don't actually need the S-OFF.
Everything should be possible through the Recovery.
Example is with the MT3G 1.2/LE device.
I don't think they have S-OFF and it's been almost two years.
There is an ENG bootloader but it disables the touchscreen for some reason.
Could you send me PMs ? I have to talk to you .

Interested in a toolkit for the phone?

Hopping around the latest HTC phones. Made about 7 toolkits or so. Looking to add you guys into the fun.
Look at my signature for the examples. Do not look at the MT4GS or Sensation since they do not have the updated UI (yet).
Current Plans: Update all my toolkits which will take 15 mins - 3 hours per toolkit.
Make a Toolkit for the HTC One V.
Possibly for the AT&T One X/Droid Incredible 4G LTE
If you guys are interested, then you guys will be after the One V. One V doesn't have much development so it should be rather quick (Maybe 30 minutes or so).
For you guys, it'll take up to an hour or so.
Let me know and tell me how you feel about it!
Also, if you guys agree, make my life easier and add all the links for kernels/recoveries. I have enough on my plate with all my other toolkits and wanna make this as painless for me as possible!
I am new to the htc android game but have over two years experience with samsung android. I think this looks very interesting and would like to see it for our device.
You are a tool, kit!
You ask for links to recoveries and kernels. I'm not aware of any kernels yet (obviously), but there are 2 recoveries. Twrp and CWM. Both in development section. That's what you want a link to?
Edit: and thanks for taking an interest in this device.

Supercid will likely come at the sametime s-off comes which defeats the purpose anyway. Cid partition now has the same power-on wp that the security flag partition has always had. Needless to say, the old HTC exploits are closed and we are starting from the ground up.

in all fairness the att bloat is really unnoticed on the htc one. atleast to me anyway. since I am on int there is none. but I would still like a RUU. in the international section there RUU's started popping up already
Saw this FB feed yesterday but when you click the link, file name shows Europe. Will watch out for Att RUU.

I'd JTAG it before going to an S4. But it depends on if you bought the DNA because you like it a lot, or somehow you got stuck with something you didn't really want.

I have both and i just can't get over how much better the DNA's screen is. I made many screen color adjustments via kernel and the S4's screen just ddoesn't look right compared to the dna, plus there's this coating on the glass that seems to dull he brightness. I remember seeing it on the S3 too. As far as build quality, the S4 is nice but the dna seems premium.
I'm running Carbon rom and custom kernels on both phones. I can only tell the difference between the two by looking at he screen and the locations of the back and menu buttons (they're the opposite on each phone).
If I was faced with a choice today I would get the DNA.

After comparing the two in store I didn't feel that the DNA screen was any better. However I like the AMOLED screens. The s4 seemed snappier but not much. However the storage on the DNA bothers me and I prefer a removable battery.
I'll probably wait another 2 weeks and then decide. I may hold off on the s4 for the Note 3 or the upcoming HTC phablet. I would like a bigger screen. If the HTC One was 5" I would have probably already bought it.

For LG and Samsung. I've never worked on a HTC device. HTC is it's own beast. My first android device was the HTC evo on Sprint . That was my only HTC device. I've ever owned. I remember then certain it needed certain hboots n radio's. For certain roms. especially when it came to aosp. With Samsung and LG all you have to do is unlock the bootloader and have a recovery.

If I were you I'd wait until the 4.3 ota hits. Based on all the near final leaks recently, I'd say it very well could be only 1 or 2 weeks away.
That's what I'm doing anyway, that way ill have updated firmware without needing to s-off, but then again s-off might not be possible for a while on the new hboot.
So maybe don't wait if you want s-off right away haha.

Glad to see you here, ME. I loved your kernel, and stock based rom, over on the LGOG. Can't wait to see your work on the HTC One!
