[Q] weird bootloop - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have the sgs3 for almost a year now. I have the processor with the sudden death problem(though it has been more then 6 mouths by now..).
today (for the first time) my device reset itself and went into bootloop. in the first time I took the battery out and it fixed it but after a few hours it happened again, only this time when I took the battery out and put it back in(even after an hour) the device automatically turn it self on (the Samsung screen) and went into bootloop.
when i tried to go into recovery it came up for a sec but then restart again into bootloop.
same thing with download mode,,,,
I was running wanamlite V6.4 with jkay for about 2 weeks now.
Any ideas?

No recovery no download mode .
USB recovery Jig may access download mode .
JTag repair may be cheaper than service centre .

Galaxy s2 Bricked

hello experts
i had followed steps to root my galaxy s2 using odin flashing and it was success, and unlocked.
The phone started well with a yellow Exclamation.
and the phone was unlocked.
after a few minutes the phone was very slow and got stuck. i restarted it.
again stuck, restarted but it dint start again. i thought battry was low and put to charge.
but it dint charge as well.
So i showed the phone to a repairing center and they said its dead.
Any help that i can start my phone again ??
Thanks in advance guys :'(
Try reverting back to the stock unrooted rom.
Go to Sam firmware.com and download the stock from ..flash it via Odin.. search ..google is ur friend..Don't ask the repairing shop again for advice (phone is dead...duh)

Can you get to download or recovery mode is the first question .

If you cannot get to download mode a USB recovery jig may help .

If you have an official stock ROM with official firmware on it, the repair centre should change your mainboard and basically making your phone brand new.

which version were you on? Are you sure the rooting went okay?
The USB-Jig must work. especially on GB. it even works fot me on ICS.
When you can not get into download-mode (odin mode) ór recovery you can't flash anything..
Hope for you that your battery is broke. or maybe one of the processors... Still got warrenty?

Hi you cant do anything unless you have download mode on you device,
if you have JTAG box you can repair your device using this.
Its normal device getting heat near charging/USB component. This is not HW problem.

He already said it won't boot normally, to recovery, or to download mode. JTag or warranty are his only options.
[A] Galaxy s2 bricked
You have to know smthng:
- It is always possible to get to download mode, if not through the button combo (home+power+Volume_DOWN), then through the USB Jig
- If your phone is bricked, the download mode might not announce itself through the android robot: the exclamation mark will persist in some cases. One indication is that ODIN will be recognizing your phone on the COM port (USB that is).
Notify me if you needed further assistance
Which instructions did you follow?
If those are wrong hopefully somebody else will see this and avoid those instructions.

XDA GENIUSES PLEASE HELP! Hard Bricked i9100

Hey guys.
I made a stupid error last night when I tried going from ICS CM9 back to ICS STOCK LPQ.
I forgot to wipe data and just wiped cache and dalvik cache.
The connection broke whilst flashing through ODIN and now I have a blank black screen and the phone won't turn on...((( (It does technically as when I try pressing the on button later on the phone would get hot - meaning its on but BLACK SCREEN)
I have tried taking the battery out for hours and putting it back in...nothing is working.
I don't know what to do...I'm in uni where I have fast wifi. Please help. Any advice would be grateful
EDIT:
Ok.
So usb jig arrived this morning. Ripped it open. Popped my sgsII from charger (fully charged I think!) took battery out - 15 secs
placed battery back in.
Inserted USBJIG. . .
. . .
. . . . BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH
Nothing....Still the same. No screen activity...sad...
only way is either JTAG or Samsung service center right?
I used to have yellow exclamation mark + 4 counts....but they can't see anything so they won't know right?
or did the usbJig work but just the fact that I can't see anything on the screen??
...sad I hated seeing noobs flashing phones improperly and crying when it got softbricked....well even though mine is a straight hardbrick i still feel sad....noob
update.
I've taken it to SSCentre on tuesday. I called them yesterday and they said they couldn't fix it over there and had it shipped somewhere else...is that bad?
it could take upto 2 weeks!!!!!!
I rememeber the engineers working on my friends Galaxy S last year and they didn't have to send it to somewhere else. (he had the soft brick 3 yellow logo icons) and didn't have the version where the download/recovery mode didn't work) The engineer just flashed it with latest stock sgs firmware (ignoring that csc was orange lol)
Maybe my flash was so impeccable I fried the motherboard? I'm one kick ass bricker....

If you can get into download mode then there is still hope. If you can't then your only option is either warranty repair of Jtag service. If download mode then works then just reflash using Odin.
You flash i9000XXJVU to your i9100 phone? So you need JTAG or do service. Your bootloader is totally dead

Didn't even notice that XXJVU was an i9000 firmware.
To OP: Yup nothing to do, but send it in for repairs.
yeah sorry not JVU LPQ (I was getting mixed up with firmwares)
Yeah phone not going into download or recovery mode.
I think when I press the power button the phone does turn on but I get nothing but black screen....(the phone warms up)
So shall I order a JTAG to flash? or take it to repair centre?
Will they know I've been flashing this thing to death? Counter is on 4 at the moment..... so worried!

JTag is not Samsung warranty its a paid for service .

.
Warranty is void with custom rom root or rom counter above zero .
Will they know yes counter is on 4 .
Will they ignore it and put it through as warranty they may but dont count on it .
USB jig would be the starting point .
That fails you could go to warranty repair if thats rejected then pay for JTag repair .

if you have adb maybe you could try:
1. Connecting your device to PC while turned off,
2. CMD > adb devices
* If you see your device connected, proceed with:
adb reboot recovery or adb reboot bootloader
* If you don't see any device connected, try googling for qhsusb_dload driver for your device, and after you install them (and maybe a couple of PC restarts) repeat step 2
3. if you manage to get to recovery, i hope you have your nandroid backup so you could restore them.
my HTC sensation 4G had this situation few days ago, couldn't go to recovery/bootloader, blanked out when turned on and had fever
i fixed it using those steps, i wish i could remember where i got the qhsusb driver thingy from.. i'll let you know when i remember.
edit: it might work on S2, or might not.. i don't know this will help or not, but you could read adb/fastboot/bootloader/android 101, maybe you could get something from there

The bootloader death thing is not 100% true. When I first got my phone, (when there wasn't any rom for it) I tried flashing a I9000 rom. I was so stupid and luckily it didn't break my phone. After the flashing it turned on and stayed on bootlogo.
It was a miracle for me!
Ok.

Flashed Custom, Worked fine for a few hours and reboots, now won't turn on

So I flashed SuperNexus to my I9300T and it worked great for a few hours. I had to reboot a few times to iron some bugs out.
Then I looked at it after leaving it for a while, then the notification light was flashing but screen wouldn't turn on. So I pulled the battery and now it won't turn on. I can't get into recovery, power button just does nothing.
Any ideas?

A few times that's more like a bad flash .
Charge the battery
USB Recovery Jig to try download mode flash stock rom ..
Fails then .
Paid for JTag repair is usually cheaper than a service centre repair .

Oh it was OK, just some bluetooth and 3G issues mainly. I've ordered a USB jig.
What would cause a bad flash? I used to flash my old HTC desire all the time never had an issue. I'm going to get a new one (via work) as well as fix this one. I loved the new ROM so I really want to re-flash the new one too...
Ah well back to my iPhone 4S for a while.... ergh

[Q] I9300 - What's wrong with my phone

Hello,
I've got Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 and don't realy know what happend to it...

Yesterday I was able to turn it in download mode but didn't got any proper stock *.tar to flash onto it via ODIN so I downloaded one and wanted to flash today but phone is not turning in download mode anymore
Phone with stock firmware = no rooted

Are you sure about that?
Everything seems like that. You can always pull out battery for about half a minute, put it back in and try to boot. If this doesn't help then nothing will.

[Q] S3 stuck at rebooting loop

Hello.
My Galaxy S3 (Singapore M1 Model) was working fine until yesterday it auto shut down itself and went into a series of rebooting. I have tried to remove the battery and on it but its still stuck in a rebooting loop. I couldn't get pass the blue Samsung splash screen. I also tried getting into recovery mode but I couldn't, when the android bot logo pops out for a second and disappears and the reboot loop starts again. I also have tried getting into download mode but which when I press the volume up rocker, it disappears and the reboot loop starts again
Any chance of helping me solve this mystery?
Also and the phone is completely stock. No roots no modification.

No other choice is to just ignore all the advice given..
Facts SDS is a suspect but only a service engineer can say yes it is SDS .
Proof of purchase does not have to be a sales receipt return to the phone seller .
