I've created this thread to discuss friendly about new AOKP ROM by Legacy Team
ROM's DESCRIPTION
This ROM is an almost pure AOKP for our Ace device. It is based on fresh Android 4.2.2_1.2 sources, current AOKP sources and portions of AndroidARMv6 and CyanogenMod sources.
It's still in its development stage, but recently it got quite stable and good for an everyday usage.
SCREENSHOTS
DONWLOAD
HOW TO INSTALL
1º Download AOKP ROM's zip put it on sdcard's root
2º Reboot into CWM 5.x.
3º Monunt and system >>> FORMAT SYSTEM then BACK to main menu
4º Wipe data/factory reset
5º Wipe cache
6º Go to Advanced >>> Wipe dalvik cache and BACK to main menu
7º Install from zip >>> Select AOKP ROM's zip
8º Wait until the AOKP ROM'll be installed
9º Reboot system now
10º Wait until your device boot!!
11º After setup wizard press home to go into launcher!
12º Enjoy!
If you aren't able to do it, go to bed, sleep at least 8 hours, wake up the next day, wash for face thoroughly and then try it again
If you have any issues, please report LOGCAT in dev¡s thread! and using as many details, as possible. Saying just "doesn't work" won't help anybody...
Also, please DON'T report things mentioned in "known problems" below.

On erikcas' releases there were no launcher settings.
I do not know whether they have changed it.
And how can I now stretch screens? Because now are icons under line. Closing searchbar didnt help solve this.

Well, that is a problem on this ROM. You could try another launcher, like Apex or Holo Launcher.

It is working on the previous version by erikcas. I have not installed the new one yet, but I think that it will work.

I do not know this launcher.
What do you mean with stretch screens?
In Go launcher you can remove the status bar and in Apex and Holo launcher you can set the number of rows and columns.
The last time I was checking TW5 it was running ok, what do you mean "the same"?...
And BTW, I already told it before, but I strongly recommend Xperia's launcher (the same that's included in DarkVisions ROM), it's ultra-lightweight and blazing fast :good:

There's no such thing
You can try my DarkVisions ROM, but it's outdated right now and will be updated later.
You can also install Xperia launcher for your own, but I doubt you will make it.
I can think of preparing a flashable zip for this...

This rom is based on the great work of team paranoidandroid
and the unoffical CyanogenMod 9 from FXP TEAM so all credits and thanks to them in the first place !
This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a usefull addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

As for Base UI its been in Tablet style but ... Some apps needs to be manually in Tablet Mode ... For doing that

Google policy forbids you to use their market if you change your DPI. The only values allowed are 160, 240, 320. Why? No one knows why. There have been workaroundw, wiping cache, using a valid DPI, open market, reboot back, blablabla, forget it, its rubbish. It will work for a minute and then it will cease to. In our package Phonesky and GoogleServicesFramework were hacked. It has other additions aswell: http://4ndr01d.com/drcmda/common/

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

Thanks but it's ok, if he wants to post his Rom I'm ok with that. My Rom is bugging me so much at the minute as I can't get native WiFi tether to work.
Before I just change a value in framework and it worked. But this time it won't. Plus I am not able to base it on fxp or able to port the latest PA to our ray
So to sum it all up, I guess it would be a good thing if he releases it. Then hopefully we will have a near enough fully working pa Rom.

I have many time and I test all what you want.
After doing factory reset and wipe dalvik cache, and downloading latest gapps package from the goo.im manager, it seems to be working fine, although there seemed to have a graphical glitch when setting doing initial setup.

im using sirkays kernel, do i have to flash the kernel that is in the rom too or not?

I think this isn't paranoid because in settings panel there are all the cyanogen and aokp features and also in info on device there is PAC version.....by the way i have FC everywhere i can't do everything evverytime com.android.phone crash. I tried flashing ROM+Normal Gapps (the cyanogen one) and after only the ROM but it is still FC. Hope i can help you with this report

Did you flashed the right Rom? I don´t see anything of Pac or so in build.prop (didn´t flashed it yet), also there isn´t a ROMcontrol App in system/apps.
the FC of phone is because of woring gapps i think, try the one from the op. And by the way, blue himself provided the link to this thread, so i think it is paranoid

for the ROM yes I installed the right one (this in the op with mediafire) now i'm trying with other Gapps
EDIT: Also with the first link of Gapps provide in the OP the process com.android.phone still crashing. I will wait for a fix (i can say that the problem is similar like blueflacon's one (before the storage problem). by the way thanks to keep this project and devalop for us

1. Flash Turbo Kernel 3.1 if you haven't already (For some reason only Turbo Kernel boots the rom for me, feel free to try it with Lupus Kernel though. It might just be my bad luck).
2. Boot into recovery and select the first internal slot. Then change slot mode to ICS-AOSP.
3. Mount your SD card on your computer and upload the Rom to your SD card.
4. Enter recovery and wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache if coming from a different rom (wipe only cache and dalvik cache if updating the rom).
5. Install PacmanICS_vXX and then flash the CM/PA System UI or AOKP system UI (your choice) located in the newly created SPAC ROM folder on your SD card.
6. Reboot system and enjoy this Rom :laugh:

One problem with this Rom is that there are two different System UI's, which appear in the SPAC ROM folder which appears when you flash the rom (its also in the data folder on the roms zip). One allows you to use the Cyanogenmod settings and Paranoid preferences (SYSTEMUIPA-CM) and the other one (SYSTEMUIAOKP) allow you to use ROM Control. Whenever you want to use one of them, just flash the zip with the system ui you want to use. I'm working on combining the two and if anyone manages to combine the two system ui's or has a working system ui that already has the two combined PLEASE post it here

Yeah, the rom is pretty big and I think the issue with lupus is the size of the rom filling up all of /system so I'm gonna cut all sony apps. Thank you so much for porting it though :laugh:

sorry brother, I dont use data , maybe some other friend of ours could report that too
its the Fxp Cm10 kernel in zip, but as the announcement says, please test with other cm10 kernel(fusion/super fusion/lupus/ any other) and do report
was a bit laggy on the fxp kernel (included in the zip). Running it on Fusion 5.5. Works like a charm.

unable to grant root access to apps.!!!
this seemed promising, but this should not have happened!!
This rom is simply awesome. bt i cannt get the root access. when i open superuser it says binary must be updated, bt i cannot update that,,,it shows error message...wt the solution ?
I wish I don't want to go back to my previous driver after this awesome ROM!
