I just prefer to do number ports in person versus the shipping and call back method, so I held out to get it in person. I live in northern Massachusetts and have called nearly every store nearby searching for availability but nobody seems to know anything about the device.
Has anyone come across a list of which stores will actually have the phone tomorrow?
I'll update this first post with confirmed availability locations and any stock numbers, if known.

I spoke with corporate today and all corporate stores will have them tomorrow. I called my local store and they had to make a few calls but confirmed it. Good luck.

This is almost certainly not true. Anyone reading this should definitely call their store to confirm, the vast majority haven't even heard of this phone, let alone got in shipments.
In Chesapeake, VA the Greenbrier Pkwy store will have them in on May 1st, but the Military Hwy store in Norfolk, VA will have them available tomorrow morning. I didnt call anywhere else, sorry :[

My local BB is taking preorders on it, but they could not give me a definite answer they'll have it on Sunday. Best bet is to call your local B&M stores on Friday/Saturday to see if they've got a shipment
I reserved one at a local Best Buy mobile in the mall of all things on the 25th. Funny thing the receipt says I can pick it up on the 25th but that's a computer error. The sales rep said they will be there this Sunday.
It will be available Sunday.
Local att store opens at 9. I will be there at 830.

I just pre-ordered mine this morning from the store here in Sacramento.
$50 minimum.
Had five or six locked up on his "Online-Order" Shelf.
Scanned one of them for my order.
I'm getting it for the $199 price since I'm OK for an upgrade.
Maybe better if I can provide evidence of a better deal.
I made several calls this morning to the local AT&T stores.
None had any stock, but could order for me.
Parrot was not expecting any until November.
If your in a hurry, then I'd suggest either Best-Buy pre-order or Direct online order.

I just made a $50 pre-order in Sacramento. Looked like they had 5-6 units on their locked shelf, one of which he scanned for my order.
Not aware of any other stores that will have them for pick-up tomorrow.
Feels like these will be hard to obtain for these early days.

I picked one up last night as well.... got home, played a bit with HC, then did the ICS upgrade.... then my brand new tablet became useless, as I have the defect with it rebooting constantly - within minutes of boot it reboots.
Will call the manager and see what they are willing to do. I know I can exchange, and keep it on HC and be fine. It is a solidly built tablet - and a great price.

I'm super tempted... there are "10+ in stock" at my nearest (in Detroit) microcenter, but should I make the two hour round trip drive to get one or should I just wait for my Amazon order which is set to ship soon-ish?

I was at the store in U-Village on Thursday and they had just gotten them in, too.
OK, so now I was actually *in* the Bellevue store.
They have the phones for sale, but only as part of that package we've all read about.
They do not have them on the display floor. I had to ask someone working there, who brought out a black display model and showed me the giant box that the bundle comes in.
The phone is unlocked, and UMTS 850/1900/2100.

I was surprised to find out that even though Best Buy is doing the pre-orders - the ATT stores are not (yet). ATT reps were aware that Best Buy is taking pre-orders, however, ATT (at least this store - the largest corporate store in NE Atlanta, GA) was NOT taking pre-orders ...
Strike 1..
So - went to Best Buy instead - details:
- Best Buy is taking pre-orders at the stores and on-line (even though not advertised in the fliers).
- Pre-order is $50 (once they verified upgrade eligibility for my account). They give you a gift card - enter the reservation in the system, etc.
- In store I pre-ordered from - they are currently ONLY taking pre-orders for the matte Black color (which is fine - as I was debating between the Black and Cyan - as I don't want the glossy colors due to potential scratching, etc. - I was leaning towards black - so this just made the choice that much easier)
- Process was straightforward - I asked when I could expect it - the rep checked and noted to me that "launch day" is currently scheduled for this Friday 10/26. Since I was one of the first to order today - he expects that I'll be able to pick mine up either that day or Saturday at the latest.

i also went to my bestbuy only black yes and no words on release date or at least we couldnt find any info on the system, didnt pre order cause i want the yellow one
I preordered mine on Bestbuy.com
Today the money came out of my bank account but I didn't get an email stating my order has been shipped. I bought the out of contract version expecting I would get it faster.
I will let you know when I get it to see if I get it earlier that way.
bestbuy.com is only accepting WP8 Pre-Orders on the HTC 8X, I don't see the 920 listed there.
Either way, I have to wait for corporate stores to get things rolling. With my corporate discount and WP8 device reimbursement from my company, I'll be getting the phone for free, but in order to do so, I'll have to jump through all the right hoops.
Besides, with my hefty discount on accessories, I hope to get some more goodies too.
Pre-order of Lumia 920 started in Finland. Best deal is 20€/month/24month or 480€ right away. Going to take this one.
