Acid Audio V7 Functional, Boosts Audio Volume In CM10.1 higher than Stock - 7" Kindle Fire HD Themes and Apps

Well, as for the audio. You should download and install acid, it has latest beats drivers, lots of Acid aditions including xloud. Its universally compatible, and is the best audio mod around.
Im currently downloading this rom at snails pace because of Goo.im. Would have much preferred a Dev.Im link as they are never slow, or even an android hosting link as you can select a server. Im sitting at 20 minutes waiting for this rom with a 60mb down internet connection...the file is 160MB so... I should have this in 21 seconds.
Ill let everyone know if acid works >.> I mean if that hasn't been done yet.
ACID AUDIO INSTALLATION:.........................INSTALLATION METHOD BELOW!!:
1. Download went fine......................................Download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38599629&postcount=1005<- download 2805, 2802AOSP3
2. flash went fine.............................................. Flash 2802AOSP3, Followed by 2805.---WIPE CACHE AND DALVIC BEFORE REBOOT

4. Acid Audio Functional...................................It works, and yeah tested and stuff
5. Noozxoide Eizo-Rewire Functional...............Download from play store, Install, change settings for Built In audio monitor to below

lol yeah it should work with any AOSP rom. Stock Roms have a bit more tinkering that needs to be done before it will work, but its definitely possible. I found CM10.1 lowered the stock volume wayyy to much, so I installed acid and Noozxoide and it boosted it to where I need it. But yep it works great!

yeah v5 was a little messed up anyways and he says that in the V7 revisions if you look close enough. v7 is how v5 was supposed to be with a few upgrades. Gotta love the team though, I have acid audio on any device I own at all times.

It wasn't necessary on my end for the volume boost nor the quality however that could have been due to my excitement with Noozxoide. Ive run and will update the OP just in case. Thanks a bunch

I've noticed certain glitches when using it with Jester6's TabletUI ROM also, I'd stay away from it really.

After, not before. Couldn't get VIper to work on CM 10 either as the audio driver for the FX app doesn't initialise. Acid does work, it just seems a bit glitchy at times.

Yeah I was reading the instructions on the original Acid thread , and it said to do a wipe before and after. Might sound trivial but it's worth a shot.

Yeah, I wiped after. It booted ok on Hashcode's cm10, but I had no sound at all. Ended up flashing back to 7.3.1 stock to get my sound back and then back to cm10. Followed the directions to the t as I'm always really careful when trying anything new, but completely wiped my sound. I have seen endorsements for Viper but haven't wanted to try it after my experience with Acid. Think I'll just wait for a fix on the dev side of things.

[WIP/APP] Volume+ (Gingerbread) v1.7 - Advanced Settings

Q - Which is better? This or DSP Manager?
A - Neither. DSP Manager has a fully editable EQ whereas mine has EQ pre-sets and a volume multiplier. They both use the same API's (albeit in a slightly different way) but use different methods to achieve the volume boost. This app can also go much louder than DSP Manager can (not always a good thing!) so you will encounter distortion with the higher values.
THIS APP AND DSP MANAGER WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS IF THEY ARE BOTH ENABLED. PLEASE DISABLE ONE TO USE THE OTHER.
Q - Which is better? This or Voodoo Sound?
A - Voodoo Sound, If your kernel/phone supports it. See thread here - clickyclicky!

This is only for the main loudspeaker, turn it up too loud and it will distort horribly. You have been warned!
DSPManager will probably not work too nice with this app but it should be ok if you disable the "phone speaker" EQ in the settings.
The same effect can be achieved with DSPManager, but this can go much louder.
This shouldn't cause any damage to your phones speaker (unless you turn it up to +15 or so), but i would strongly advise against playing music out of your phone's speaker constantly. It distorts, therefore it's doing some damage, however minor it may be.
Enjoy!

Sweet, now I can finally hear my ring tone on my N1. Bought your app for my G1 and it was awesome. Keep up the great work.
Awesome! Any chance to include a boost percentage? I find that it's a LITTLE bit too loud.
EDIT: Turned it off as I just realised that it COMPLETELY distorts my notification sound (Pollux).
Yeah its a bit too loud. Ill reduce it a bit tomorrow.

Excellent work. I had your app for my HTC hero many moons ago.
Works great, confirmed working on Nexus One with gingerbread MIUI
Thanks!
So it's like boosting treble in DSPmanager?
Its like boosting everything in Dsp but this can go louder.

in cm 6.1.1 the speakers sound was as high as your volume fix does, but it was very smooth without any cracks..
its not yet achieved on gingerbread but that would be unfair to say that speakers are bad, coz on froyo they were loud enough.

AUDIO Mods in addition to your Music Player

I think this mod is still very unkown, that's why I'm posting it here. Especially because I consider the Samsung Galaxy Players (4 and 4.2 because of DAC) as a music player with android benefits.
So I tried several mods and players and mods will always effect the sound quality more than the music player.
Yes right, it doesn't matter which music player you use, whether it's PlayerPro or PowerAMP, because you have to disable the built in EQ anyways. I tried AcidAudio with Walkman Player and thought wow. Then I tried Noozxoide with Noozyplayer and thought this was the best.
Today I found out about this mod: [OFFICIAL][MOD] ViPER4Android (V4A) Audio Effects - Android 2.3 / 4.0 / 4.1 / 4.2 by Zhuhang
I recommend you to try this!
I'm using PowerAMP and first you have to disable Direct Volume Control. Then click on the built in Equalizer and disable EQU, TONE and LIMIT.
Now install the right version of ViPER4Android FX as described (first Manager apk, reboot , then Viper apk) and then install ViPER4Android XHiFi as described. After this you can start your music, start Viper and test what sound fits your ears.

New version
Just to let everyone who loves this app, there was an updated release for 4.3. I personally tried it and can't get it to work for my SGP5. Tried everything, followed step by step instructions, went into system/lib/soundfx and deleted driver, tried installing driver 5+times all with reboots, still nothing. All this done all day Sunday after finally upgrading to 4.3 (been putting it off since viper4A was not release for 4.3 yet). I would post on OP but i'm a long time lurker and just got around to creating an account here.
Update: gave up for now on it, tried pm'ing zhuhang about the driver loop issue but he had the same idea i had and just to wait for new release this weekend.
on the upside this situation forced me to experiment with other apps, some may be familiar with noozxide's pro app, which i tried and found lacking. But his e-series version does add a noticeable punch to bass while keeping mid - high range. may wanna try it out if you get bored.

Viper4Android Mod

I don't see it posted much in Rez board, but this audio mod is the best. Much better than awesomebeats and others

I am still toying around with it, but with the beats headphones it is great. It has so many options. I run both of the apps together and with the IRS I am still trying to find the right one. (There are over 100).
If you try it, the drivers for the Rezound are Cortex 8/neon for FX and neon for xhifi.
I highly recommended this mod. Only drawback is that you have to reinstall after every flash.

FX uses more cpu but has better sound quality and customizable audio drivers. you can add different IR's

After I got my settings how I want them I turned off and on the driver to compare and the difference is big. I recommend everyone to use this over anything els
the future update is merging both versions into just the FX version.
Btw you need to install the driver every time you update your ROM.

did you uninstall the XHiFI drivers before removing the app? Btw XHiFI is being merged into FX so you dont need XHiFI anyways
if you didnt you can just reinstall the app and remove the drivers than remove the app again

Edit: I currently listen to indie, acoustic, electronica, dubstep. And while the Xperia Rev. 2 ClearAudio+ setting for Convolver adds a nice touch for acoustics, I prefer Convolver off and ViPER Bass and Clarity turned on instead: Both set to Natural @ 8.0 dB boost, Bass set to 40 MHz. The ClearAudio+ helps create a studio effect with crystal highs and resonant acoustic elements, but it takes away too much from the mids for my taste.

did you uninstall the XHiFI drivers before removing the app? Btw XHiFI is being merged into FX so you dont need XHiFI anyways
if you didnt you can just reinstall the app and remove the drivers than remove the app again
in FX you should have installed with CortexA8 with NEON
and if its still not running in normal mode. try this
Open up /system/build.prop
Change the line Ipa.decode=true to lpa.decode=false If its not already false
im running mine in normal mode so its gotta be something

I ended up removing them both cleanly and just doing FX by itself and it's working in compatibility mode fine.

[MOD] PureX Audio (v3.0)

zerromusic update
This is not my work. I saw mBear posted this a little white back for the Z1, and he gave me permission to post it here for the Ultra. Any issues comment below and I'll see what I can do....
Credits: @MightyBear007 & @ZeroInfinity
** NOTES **
- This mod will work for Locked/Unlocked Bootloaders as long as you have a custom recovery.
- The speaker's audio quality becomes worse as you increase the volume. This is because our speaker cannot handle the output i.e. loud volumes with increased quality. It is impossible to keep audio quality and loud volume because of our hardware. The Z1 and Z Ultra DON'T have a dedicated Amp inside it's chipset. So don't expect extreme loud sound.
- When playing music, it could take a few seconds to let Sound Enhancements load your settings
- If you are having audio skipping issues, make sure that you exclude: Walkman (If you have 2 Walkman apps, select the second one), PureXAudio Engine and MusicFX in STAMINA Mode so that the phone will not try and make it inactive. If you have Skipping in any other music player, add that in the exclude list of Stamina mode.
Features:
New Audio effects/presets (PureXHiClarity/PureXPsychoRealism/PureXBeats)
-Sony Digital Sound Enhancement Engine ported from Walkman NWZ-F805 (EXCLUSIVE TO PXA, STRONGLY ADVISE TO TURN DOWN VOLUME BEFORE ENABLING)
-Disabled Hearing Protection
-Slightly louder speaker, earpiece and headphone volume
-Improved ALSA with many plugins and custom configs
-32Bit Unsigned Integer Quantization
-256x SuperClock Frequency Audio Upsampling Quantization (11.6MHz)
-More Anti-Aliasing
-Even less static noise
-Improved audio resolution
-No Audio clipping
-ALSA which AUTO CONFIGS settings for your audio chip
-Re-Introduced ClearAudio and VPT Wrapper from Xperia V ICS firmware
-Qualcomm Audio mode set to FluencePRO
-Enabled Qualcomm Surround-Sound recording
-Wider and Clearer Soundstage
-Ultra Clear High Frequency treble
-Crystal Clear vocals and background vocals
-Alive, beating drums
-Less Distortions
-More Dynamic Range
-Very low audio latency
-System Wide modification - You don't need to press anything to turn it on
-New and powerful audio libraries
-NOT BLOATED WITH USELESS FILTERS AND FILES

Yes, I've been having similar issues with V4A on stock roms, although I got it to work with one music application (Play Music) in compatible mode. V4A worked flawlessly on AOKP roms though.
Gonna check this one out later as I need to have a working audio enhancing mod on stock.
@hamdogg Do you need to be deodexed? Ta..

It should be significantly better over low to medium sound volume. any louder and you will sound quite bad.
On my SBH-52 it is quite noticeable... sounds really good. Bass sounds punchier and mid range is good too. tweakers sound under done, but I think thats the whole point in the MOD
How can I select mod?I have install it through recovery but after reboot I can't find any mod selection...can u point out for me?

Viper4Android tunes up the whole ALSA Parameters
whereas this mod multiplies the frequencies and does some super sampling which can only be achieved in Sony Devices

Yes, I have an another idea:
Disable Both Dolby Apps
Set your go to audio effects and set the equalizer
If you are finished, reactivate Both Dolby Apps
Reboot system

I have a better idea, I make a split thread for my mod, that is easier than move it to themes and apps section
I flashed the Sound Enhancement Mod and everything seems to work fine.
At first, I thought that the base is too much until I enabled ClearAudio+
Thank you very much for this Mod and I can now enjoy my Sounds again after Lollipop update.
My question would be, what would be the difference if I install the Add-on? I know this is not required so I am thinking what would be the advantage of doing so?

I tested Clearaudio + with my Sony MDR1 ADAC and the bass is for me not too much:laugh:
My Add-on enables Xloud, DSEE-HX, boosts speaker volume,... my Add On is not recommended but it enchanting the sound a little bit more

Thank you for the quick reply.
I guess it all boils down to music preference in the end but no complains here.
Earphones are sounding better now but I haven't tried on speaker. Currently still at the office.

I installed the add on so how exactly do I access those extra features or is it by default? The only thing I have access to is the Dolby app.
Thanks
