fa33 , honestly im staying from this thread. Threads like these just start making people nit pick at stuff that doesnt even matter.

Anyone get an ht one that's a T-Mobile version?
It's personal preference. The op of the other thread prefers bluer one, I like the less blue one.

Checked white balance on my phone when I got it with a piece of paper and it looked good. Confirmed that it was the batch from Taiwan.

I second this by saying..
I don't give a ****.
But also, no offense.

FA34CW, whatever that gives me *shrug*

HTC is notorious for screen shortages and using 2 manufacturers. The HTC MyTouch4g had it, so did the Sensation......

Anyone's screen yellowish when brightness is very low? This is my second one and I don't remember it being like this?

2 came fa35xx

[Q] 16 Million Colours

it has been announced by Sony Ericsson on twitter that in the update the colours will not be updated from 65k to 16m - yet again more disappointing news from Sony :/
does anyone know if this is to be included in future updates (If any)?
I don't really understand the whole hype over the color depth issue.
Do you really think having 16 millions colors will change anything, or is it just to have the big numbers ?
What we currently have is pretty decent, in older updates the color banding was slightly visible due to the lack of dithering (interpolation), but latter updates (namely R2B) introduced some dithering and now it's much less apparent.
Also the X10 LCD panel, like 95% of all LCD panels, uses the TN technology (as per the viewing angles) so even if it was sent full 24bit colors, it wouldn't show more than 262000 colors with some dithering (since TN panels only use 6bit per color channel instead of 8, that makes it 18bits which is (1 << 18) = 262144)
So anyway, most screens, even the one you're currently reading this on, don't support the full 24bit color range (unless you're using a profesionnal PVA monitor )
And I'm pretty sure you wouldn't notice the difference in most cases, at least I know could hardly find the difference at all, and i'm much more concerned about someone hacking multitouch in this thing than increasing the color depth
I don't get it either.. Quite happy with my screen too. More concerned that trying to process 16m colours will just slow it down..

only reason i made this post was because a couple of days i used a Samsung galaxy s and the screen is probably 2 times as good and it's cheaper.
it is also alot faster, my phone just didn't seem to compare
the galaxy was using android 2.1 don't know if that's why the performance is better or not but it's a little disappointing and discomforting
2.1 would make a differance i think.
All of u people complaining i dare u go and get a galaxy s i dare you, i will laugh my ass off from how much more disapointed you will be with the samsung. Now you might be pissed but then you will be crying and pulling your hair out thay you bought such a disaster phone. Go look in the market there was a person looking to trade a captivate strait up for an x10 last week. You people dont know wtf u talking about. Galaxy s is a nightmare compared to x10.

Htc Evo 4G Lte Display not SLCD2

I have heard report that the Evo 4G Lte doesnt have the same display like the HTC One X. Instead of the SLCD 2,The Evo 4G Lte is using the IPS display with a 1280 x 720p HD resolution. So is the IPS display better than the SLCD2?

Here is a copy of the thread that is going around for the OneX problems. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1585082
As far as the issues I had, when I/you pressed on the screen it would at act like you were pushing on an lcd laptop screen, you know how you get the waves and ripples. I think it has to do with how the screen was attached on the oneX. The Evo seems to be put together a bit different I believe, at least from what I can see. I don't know I was really looking forward to the oneX and that kind of just ruined it, I'm hoping the Evo is the one for me.

Interesting however I think some of these problems is due to the high res on a small screen these companies are doing this for the first time can't expect them to he perfect go check out the gn and their screen issues common denominator here between all the new phones and diff manufactures is the high res.

I was thinking the same thing, but wouldn't that mean that all of them would be that way? From what I was reading through there some people had ones that were working fine without the problems. Guess that's what was making me think default/quality control issue. I'll have to go check out the gn issues.

I think there is at least two threads for screen in the gn forum one for vzw n the other for sprint dk about the international lol you would think for as long as Samsung has been doing amoled they would have it near perfect everytime ya know? [Dilemma] HTC One or GalaxyS IV?

Assuming that the SGS IV will be an Exynos Octa, and that you don't care much about the difference in screen size or about removable flash or battery, which one would you go for? SGS IV or HTC One? Probaby the weightiest criteria in my view are speed, screen quality, and, last but not least, the possibility of flashing CM. (Note the difficulties with which the CM team has been confronting in porting CM to Exynos-based cellphones.)

SG4 if it's octa core and LCD comparable to One display for USA release. If it's not, I will surely get HTC One.
Tapatalk 2
If S4 is AMOLED, then I'm out. If it's S-LCD, then I will at least wait to try both devices. But, I'm done with AMOLED. People talk about using it in the sun being poor but any outdoor performance is poor. I've enjoyed the spoils of the S-LCD screen and still hate the AMOLED from the S2 and current phone (S3).
I too am torn between the HTC One and the supposed GS4.
One one hand, I have a fetish for HTC Sense -I just find android unbearable without HTCs additions.
On the other, The E5 Octa is very tempting due to the superiority of the CPU and GPU.
I really need to wait for the official release to see the device itself. If it is primarily constructed out of plastic, then I would pick the HTC One without hesitation. If it is an aluminum device, then I might be swayed (however I would still be biased towards the HTC One).

Screens can improve though, I'd wait to see both before passing judgement. One X has the best screen of any phone I've owned, galaxy s3 is poor in comparison. Note 2's screen is actually quite nice though.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
This is really killing me, too.
I think the deciding factor for me will be the design. If the S4 is another piece of **** plastic device then I'm not getting it.
And please, don't try telling me "plastic is a great design element" because it is really not. I've had the S1, and told myself the S2 won't be like that. Then I got the S2, same thing. S3 was the final device I told myself I'd get being plastic, and sure the design was nice indeed but it was still the same plastic design. No matter how many times they coat it; it's plastic.
We can't do this comparison because we still don't know much concrete about the S4. We still don't know if there are any new features that may outweigh our concerns on other aspects such as design and the number of cores.
I'm not getting anything until the S4 is out so I can see.
why even ask a question like this without the GS4 specs even out....
everyone who has voted in the poll i bet not a single one of them own the phone yet.....
According to some benchmark, there is no significant difference in processor performance. In case that HTC One has metallic body, excellent display, camera improvements and better UI*, I vote HTC.
* I'm not talking about BlinkFeed
The One because it is an unibody and S4 (probably) plastic.
Thanks guys, I think that I should probably post this poll in the Galaxy forums as well
Otherwise, how does HTC play with aftermarket ROMs (such as CM and the like)?

You are correct, because the phones aren't out yet :silly:
The poll is merely asking what people are getting, if it was posted in a Samsung forum, the results would more than likely sway the other way.

You know what's funny I just read Samsung is manufacturing the screens for the HTC One. I don't know if they manufactured the ONE X screen but to me it was one of the reasons why I bought it over the SG3.
Gs4 Will not uses 8 cores, only 4, this is mkt. Will have a sd card and more power. But have a touchwiz, plastic and poor sound. I buy a HTC one for now.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Why pay more than the HTC One for probably half the storage and a plastic phone??? The difference in performance is probably going to be negligible in day to day use (unless you play games) and touchwiz is in need of a serious overhaul.
I would of voted but's it's silly voting for a device which is not even announced.
One think for sure I am not getting plastic dosen't matter even if it comes with 100 cores.
I will always choose htc one because Samsung will probably be plastic and I don't think that gs4 will have better sound than one
I don't know why but I think that Samsung will copy htc one "zoe"
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
My primary deciding factor is design. For how I use a phone, I probably wouldn't benefit from the extra (if it ends up having the octa chip) processing power and other little features that it's supposedly going to have.
I'm currently on an iPhone 5 now and simply love the design. When I got bored in the past with the 4 I went to the Inspire and it just simply fell short in a number of categories. But I'm really excited to get back to Android since there have been some major changes/advancements in the last year and a half.
With all that said, I have a high respect and regard to a well designed phone and I think HTC really nailed it with this phone. It would take a seriously impressive phone from Samsung to sway me away from the One.
Edit: this was my first post for a loooong time on XDA. I suppose it's time to update my sig.

A good app for 2014 moto X frames?

Is there a screen shot frame generator out there with the 2014 moto X? Perfect Screen Shot has a 2013 frame, but I can't find another that has the newer ones. Any help would be great.
I haven't found one either, bump.

I contacted the Dev of perfect screenshot and he responded by saying that he was working on one. He also said that he might release it the night after I sent the email, but it wasn't up to his standards yet. He ended up releasing a few (droid turbo included), but not the 2014 moto X yet. My guess is that he's still working on it.
He also said that it would only be in the base colors too. So no black with yellow or blue or anything like that.
If you don't already know about it, just search for "perfect screenshot" on Google play and it's the first app to show.
There is a beta program of Perfect Screenshot on Google +. You may get a taste a bit early. For the the time being, I've been using the Nexus 6 frame. Works OK.
Perfect screen shot now has the 2014 frame!

Which colour

I'm trying to decide between the rose blush or the mountain grey. It's had to pre order without seeing the colour.
I thought the rose blush would be different just hoping it's not too pink and more like a rose gold colour. Can't decide.
I'm planning on ordering the cloud blue.
I went with the 256GB rose blush in the end we didn't get the cloud blue option in Ireland. Placed delivery expected before September 4th

Not related to your original question, but do you know which processor will it be : Exynos or the Qualcom Snapdragon 855?
In France, it looks like it will be an Exynos version (got it almost confirmed with Samsung support).
Not too stocked about that since the Snapdragon seem a little better overall...
I'm trying to decide between Cloud Blue and Mountain Grey. I think I'll go with Grey, simply because that's the only color available for the keyboard case during preorders.
I really like the blue, but I also think the grey will look more professional.
I've gone with the grey and don't regret it. Looks very smart in person
I went with Rose blush as a change from the usual black and grey and I'm very please with it
