[ROM][4.2.2][YP-G70][July23]Cyanogenmod 10.1 - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Unofficial Cyanogenmod 10.1 (JellyBean 4.2.2)
For the Samsung Galaxy Player 5/ Galaxy S WiFi 5
What is CyanogenMod?
CyanogenMod is an aftermarket firmware for a number of cell phones based on the open-source Android operating system. It offers features not found in the official Android based firmwares of vendors of these cell phones.
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

This ROM may cause all the things in the disclaimer to happen, or steal your girlfriend while you are busy flashing ROMs.
I shall try to post updated builds 2-3 times per week.
This is built from source using JackpotClavin's device tree, so has the exact same issues.

JackpotClavin said:
If coming from any ROM OTHER THAN CM10.1:
I just installed the linked CM10.1 build coming from CM10, Paranoid, and Entropy's clockwork recovery from a year ago and had no issues; so hopefully you guys will too. Do me a favor and prior to installing wipe /system, /data, /dbdata (or /datadata or something), and /cache; THEN install. Don't wipe after or else you might wipe the /system_app directory that we're using to install the /system/app on a different partition because our /system isn't large enough.
If coming from a previous version of CM10.1
My zips wipe your /system and /system_app directory (which is the /system/app partition symlinked). That means that you will have to reinstall the Gapps package at the end of every zip! Also, go to the advanced menu in clockwork and wipe your dalvik-cache
In order to boot into recovery after installing this ROM, you must enable development settings by pressing on the build number in the Settings app 7 times; then go into development settings and enable "Advanced reboot." Then reboot your device by holding power and selecting recovery.

Can't wait to try this out even tho I'm already on Jackpot's cm10.1 ROM!

we might have a slight delay for the first build. I accidentally synced the wrong branch :silly:

I have a quick question I am not really clear on. OK umm do I install entropy's kernel with clockwork mod to flash cm10.1 or I can do it coming from cm10?

I think im gonna have a version with just a clean build, and when i have time, ill experiment with some stuff, but the builds will be kept separate.

I think android1234567 wanted to tell you to just optimize the output by compiler options, the source is not involved on this

I'll try out this ROM after I back up my stuff!

Great, I would make a rom myself but my PC would compile it for ages

Just a minor suggestion to add to the OP:
Perhaps, you could put a hyperlink to Jackpot's separate International kernel for those that need to flash it separately. Just a thought.

there is an intl kernel that i compiled on 4-19 that should be in the dl's folder. its the same as Jackpot's

I just installed this. I had to do a full wipe coming from PAC-man.
Seems to be working fine.
One question: In PAC-man there was a performance option in settings menu.
Where did this go?
Do I have to d/l something like SetCPU or is it hidden somewhere?
Nvm. 7 clicks on build enables it.

Thanks for this! One question, when the cm10.1 code changes, is it a speed increase or what? I never really notice. Couldn't find much on the subject for some reason.

No, before. I may do overkill but in twrp I do factory reset, then wipe cache, dalvik, system, then factory reset again, then install rom and gapps, then wipe cache/dalvik and restart. Roms always work perfect for me like this and I get an almost instant GPS lock so I'd say it works great

I've got like 4 back ups thanks man. Just don't want to miss out on see what all the buzz is about with touchwiz 4.3 later this month but my heart is in aosp and moving to kit kat now thanks again
Can you please also update the bugs list with
Holding home button doesn't open recents
Proximity sensor not working (or didn't in previous builds)
I switched back to CM10.2 for now but am looking forward to CM11 when some bugs are fixed.
For me I had no data aside from WiFi all the other bugs are tiny and will be fixed but I'm leaving for work soon so I had to restore back up, looking good though guys thanks for the work. :good:
If you don't install the ROM using the latest version of CWM you won't have data. Not sure why it doesn't work through TWRP.
Hope that helps.

For now to flash this and have working data you need to be on the latest ClockworkMod. Thankfully I have updated zip installer versions for both the standard and touch versions of 6.0.4.3. You can flash it in TWRP and within a reboot be right in CWM.

There seems to be a nasty sound bug when music is playing and you turn your screen off and on and unlock it. Fixed it by disabling lock sounds under sounds menu and changing screen lock to pattern. Not complaining just trying to save some ears because the sound it makes is pretty terrible haha. Great work so far sbrissen if it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't even still have my note 2!

Thanks for this! Where can or if even is twp able to flash 4.4 yet? You have a zip installer by any chance if it is updated. I have seen people talk about it but their website does not show the new one (2.6.3.1 I believe?)

Same one. My issue was my kernel . I did not want to release a build that would get stuck on bootlogo I had batman test recovery to make sure it worked we got it working by pulling defconfig from the device.
https://github.com/TeamRegular/andr...mmit/e8bb5520806d9028a50acf03daf3a1a29a1de8f5
Now I am actually porting twrp since they added a new 240 theme

Hi , I am developer I do not own this device. I will attempt at my best to provide a working build on cm-10.1 and maybe we can go even further. If you are able to donate a phone that will speed up the process if not it's ok . I will only work on this on weekends. I ask that anyone interested in helping me please PM me and get on hangouts. I will not be able to chat much nor always answer post. I am not the best developer , but i should be able to fix some things even without the device.

I am using odexed like DOC. Look at my commit. I am not using software rendering. I have the actual egl and gpu blobs working. I added audio blobs and more. Doc had no proprietary files and it had no reason to force close.

That's correct unless you were looking at twrp they don't have a 240x320 theme yet. I am not working on this as it's a school day I will only work on free days and weekends.
