[MOD][XPOSED] BlinkFeed Back to Top [1.0][HTC Sense 5] - Xposed Framework Modules

New Xposed Mod: BlinkFeed Back to Top
This small mod enables the back button to scroll to top in BlinkFeed just like the home button would if BlinkFeed was your home screen.
=> This lets you choose a primary home screen other than BlinkFeed with still being able to scroll to top with a single tap (at the bottom of the screen, tapping the statusbar always works).
Note: HTC enabled this from stock with Android 4.2.2
As with any other mod, you must accept using it at your own risk.
If you want to try it, follow these steps:
If not done yet or included in your custom ROM, install the Xposed framework as described in this thread (requires root)
Install the attached APK and activate the module in the Xposed installer (this is also described in the framework thread)
Reboot

Did you install Xposed for the first time for this mod? The TV app is working fine here, so it would be nice to get some logcat output to be able to clarify

Indeed, you can single tap on the notification bar to back to the lastest.
For any apps HTC made are supported with this function (eg sms)

Indeed, that works out-of-the-box. I changed the OP to let people know this eventually in advance of rooting. Personally, I still would like to see HTC enabling the functionless back-button for this like they did with home. Unless this happens, I will keep on maintaining this mod so people can choose.

OP, would you consider developing a module that allows the back button to exit the app drawer?

This is an excellent idea. Back button in BlinkFeed works anyway from 4.2.2 on, so let's give this code new sense. But won't promise any EST, in upcoming week maybe

Hmm, why not just hit the home button? That takes it back to the top for me.

if you change from blinkfeed as Home to another page, the home button oesn't do it. but I guess most people don't realize yo ucan just tap the status bar, regardless of what page is your home page >_>

Since 4.2.2 the home button always brings you to the top. Same goes for the back button. And it also quits app drawer.
HTC is listening. lol.

scrolling to top
Some inbuilt apps are supporting that scrolling to top by tapping status bar. Is there any way to implement in all apps (third party apps)??
Thanx...

[Q] Change quick launch shortcuts?

I was wondering if there's a mod out there to allow you to change the quick launch shortcuts at the bottom of the screen? Or am I just stupid and you can do this with a stock phone?
I realize when we get some new ROMs going this will be added in, I'm just enjoying my stock ROM with Da_G's OC kernel and CWM for now.. I don't really have the free time to be playing around with new ROMs right now, but a flash-able mod would be great for this since I only really use two of the shortcuts.
Have you tired a custom launcher? I just got my note today and the first thing i did was install the zeam launcher.

App drawer - menu - edit - customizable grid - tap and drag.
Okay.. I was trying to stay away from using a different launcher, I've tried them in the past and always ended up uninstalling them after a few hours.
One more step to add to mikegehl's write-up: Then Menu > Save, or your changes won't stick.
Why they had to make it so much more difficult than any other position on the screens (simple drag-n-drop to remove, press-n-hold to add) is beyond me. But, it is one of my very few complaints about the stock UI.
How to change quick launch icons.
Ok I wish this was a little easier but there is a way to change the quick launch icons (all but the applications icon of course). Just click on Applications icon, click on the menu button, click on view type, make sure its on customizable grid, then click menu again, then edit. You can now drag icons (upto 4 on the note) on and off the quick launch. remember to click menu, save once you're done or it will revert back. Hope this helps!

[Q] Sense Revolution - Bug - To Android Manual

Hi The Android Manual
Thanks for making such wonderful Custom ROM Sense Revolution . I am using R2. Not having any issues with WIFI and no double clock in Apps Drawer.
I am sorry to post here as I could not able to post in the below link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023412
Bug: Go to People. There is a button down "Phone". Click on that, it is throwing error "Unfortunately, People has stopped".
If you can mod following:-
1) Hiding application in Sense app drawer
2) Folder support in app drawer
3) Possible to modify number of home screen.
4) Speed up stock mail (not gmail) client. Which is really very slow in operation.
5) Color icons in quick settings.
6) Separate volumes for Ringtone and Notification
Thanks
To Android Manual
Waiting for SR3
Released finally
+1
+1,
The bug in People does actually exist. FC on selecting Phone. Otherwise R2 is awesome !...
Regards
Look like R3 is giving some trouble.
I believe there are not much changes and R2 is still a good ROM.
I still having the following request if these can be done.
1) Hiding application in Sense app drawer
2) Folder support in app drawer
3) Possible to modify number of home screen.
4) Speed up stock mail (not gmail) client. Which is really very slow in operation.

[MOD][XPOSED] Smart Alarm Icon [1.2][HTC/Samsung 4.0.3+]

New Xposed Mod: Smart Alarm Icon
This mod will change the alarm icon in status bar to be only displayed for a configurable time before alarm will go off. This for example will remove the icon on Friday and Saturday if the alarm is scheduled for working days only. The threshold for when the icon gets shown is configurable via UI.
=> This makes the alarm icon more valuable again, since if shown permanently one gets used to it quite fast.
Limitations
Works on HTC and Samsung stock-based ROMs version 4.0.3 and higher (permanently hides the icon on other devices)
You MUST accept that you use any modification at your own risk
If you want to try it, follow these steps:
If not done yet or included in your custom ROM, install the Xposed framework as described in this thread (requires root)
Install the attached APK and activate the module in the Xposed installer (this is also described in the framework thread)
Reboot

Probably yes. I don't have my hands on any AT&T/Rogers ROM, on which NFC icon it is reported to show up. Furthermore, I'm not using NFC at all, so I'm afraid it makes no sense for me modding this. I suggest keeping an eye on trixx's TrickDroid thread, his ROM at least supports AT&T models - maybe he's willing to include this at some point

Dev edition, stock but rooted. With the Xposed framework now, I find I can get the tweaks/mods I want without even needing a different ROM.
1.29 rogers stock Rom here and everything is perfect. Xposed is so good it's almost sexual...

Dude. I didn't bother looking around to see if anybody had tried this on a GS3 (yeah I know wrong thread) but this is awesome. I absolutely HATE the stupid icon up there all frackin day when my alarm isn't until the morning. So far works great on my sprint GS3. Thanks!

Works fine here too. Thanks!
it works partially for me on my note 2.
hiding permanently works.
but if I set the icon to be visible again it stays hidden.
is there a delay in this, or is it a bug?
it's not a disaster if it's a bug though, I wanted the icon gone permanently anyway.

Thanks for your feedback. I updated to v1.2, which fully support Samsung ROMs now. v1.1 had the limitation that threshold was only working on HTC ROMs. On none-HTC/Samsung ROMs it will keep on hiding the icon permanently.
it's working perfectly now.
I have been searching high and low to get rid of that icon on JB. Thank you for freeing up some space on my status bar!
Tested on Nexus 4 and it works perfectly, Running vanilla Android 4.2.2, so it's not just limited to Samsung/HTC roms it seems.:good:

Thank you for this information. Wondering which clock app is installed / comes shipped on your device? Since only HTC and Samsung alarm settings and changes are handled, it should only hide (not auto-show) the icon on vanilla ROMs.

[XPOSDE MODULE] 3dot menu mod

*** This mod is designed for device / rom that didn't have a onscreen navbar (i.e.: samsung rom) ***
If your rom already have a navbar, you should already have 3dot menu enabled and enabling this mod will only hide your navbar!
This mod will enable 3dot menu button in all application (using a 0 height navbar), enjoy!
Side effects:
Samsung use fixed layout for their apps, and when a navbar is enabled we got unexpected results, can't do nothing about this... (see screenshot)
after enebling the mod screenshot combination change to AOSP style: Power+MenuDown

No, it's a guideline suggested since android 3.0 honeycomb, so the app had to support it.

Try xposed framework and use the gravity box module should be able to tweak the navigation bar how you want.
Sent from my VS980 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Why don't you want to use gmd?
There's an app called "GMD auto hide soft keys" that hides the bottom software buttons. You then either tap or swipe the bottom of the phone and the buttons appear. You don't use gestures to navigate... You tap on the software keys once they appear. Then when you are done the software buttons dissappear completely.
Or where you looking for fully transparent software buttons that are always showing?

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I believe G2 Xposed is only for stock and stock-based ROMs. The OP is running CM and would probably have a lot more luck with something made for AOSP-based ROMs. I would suggest Gravity Box, it has these functions plus a ton of other tweaks that you can use as you please.
