[Boot Animation] Android Robot - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Themes and Apps

I was up all night making this for my phone and thought I would share it. 1920x1080, I had a hell of a time getting it down to the size it is now and I still thinks its a little large, but it doesn't create any lag and the animation is smooth.
Unrar and copy to your sd card and then copy into system/media, be sure to rename the original boot animation before you copy over the new one.
this is just 20 frames of the animation.

looking good. works perfect.

I cant get it to work. By original bootani I asume you mean the .qmg file.?
EDIT: sorry im an idiot lol, I thought it was a .zip for some reason anyway is it possible to get bootanimation.zips to work on this device.?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

maybe this will help, im not 100% sure if there are zip capable roms yet.

Thanks! Saw that thread. Since im not on widows, was hoping for a Mac version of android version. Have a few .zips already made but obviously wont work on GS4.

Boot Animation? replace the one in your /system/media folder. You don't flash boot animations.

But it can be done "in a flash"!
Ba dum bum!
Seriously it takes 3 seconds. All you have to you is rename the animation to want to 'bootanimation.zip' and put it in the appropriate folder. Sorry I can't think of which folder it is right now...but the info is readily available in this forum somewhere.
Just be sure to save the stock animation as another name first in case you ever want to go back for some reason.
And it's a pretty non toxic event to switch boot animations. If you put in a bad file, it doesn't bork the phone. It just skips the animation sequence on boot so you go splash screen, blank screen, then working phone.
Thanks for the support. I'm trying to make another one from OoT when link opens the Door of Time (except Android will be above the door instead of the Triforce). I'm not a great photoshopper, so I'll see if I can make it look halfway decent haha.
I know this is an old thread, but, this is awesome! Haven't had a chance to try it out yet since I kind of want to tweak it before I add it to my One x+. Can you by chance make the audio file so that it plays the rest of the clip with the sword dropping through the Z in "Zelda" ( I think it just needs to be 10 seconds longer). Also, where do I put the sound file in the system folder so that it plays when booting? I think my stock animation had it build into the file but not sure. Thanks so much!

I liked and I had to have it done.
I decided to share with you
v2 - bootanimation.zip (landscape mode)
v2 - bootanimation.zip (portrait mode)
I recommend the one in lendscape mode, but for those who just want bootanimation in portrait mode (slightly elongated ).... I made it.
Added a bootsound
Enjoy
Would this also work as a down animation if named and permissioned correctly? I'm no themer and have never attempted creating my own boot/down anims and thus have no idea the effort required to make them. If no, any chance you would be willing to tweak it to work as a down animation? Thanks much in advance, I really like this.

I have not tried it like downanimation, but it should work.
It seems to me that just might be too long, so it should be shortened a bit
Rename it and try if it works.
If somethings needs changing tell me what it is and I'll try to modify it.
thanks

That's a slick animation my friend! Thanks.
thanks
thanks.. i like
I make a bootanimation sound...
If I remember correctly, you need to put android_sound.mp3 to /system/customize/resource/ directory
P.S.
After download, rename android_audio.mp3.$$$ to android_audio.mp3
Anyone have this bootanimation modified without the text at the end?
I tried doing it from my phone and the animation goes for about 70% of what it should be, stutters and then loops. Created it on my pc and got the same result....
I've modified countless boot animations before...but now I'm stuck like a noob...
Thanks.

I'm on stock TMobile rom, so I wouldn't know where to put them. But I think you can gain more insight by analyzing the default.xml file found in system/customize/CID
Will do that, thanks

Cyanogenmod9 Boot Animation

Hi everyone, today I'm going to share with you the Cyanogenmod9 boot animation which I have modded to my needs and I thought I'd share it with everyone.
At first I was about to render the After Effects project file into a movie and then split it up into frames and all that until I realised that they actually share downloadable versions of the boot animation.
So basically all I did here was increase the loops on the second part to make it not start over so that it looks the same like in the real Cyanogenmod9 boot.
Here are 2 screenies:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I've got a video aswell but it is watermarked to a blog and people here will probably complain.
Instructions (For Custom ROMs which are custom bootanimation ready):
1. Transfer the bootanimation.zip file to your SD card.
2. Use any Root Browser app and copy the bootanimation.zip and then go to directory /system/media and replace your old one with this one.
3. Reboot and enjoy the animation.
Instructions (For Stock ROM users):
1. Download the Files.zip and extract it, you will get 2 files.
2. Use any Root Browser app to transfer the 2 files from your SD card to the directory /system/bin
3. After you have done that, transfer the bootanimation.zip file to directory /system/media as mentioned above.
4. Reboot and enjoy custom boot animations.
The files are attached below.
Thanks to http://cyanogenmod.com for the animation.
Feel free to press thanks if you want.
I will not be liable for any damages you cause to your phone while doing this procedure, so be careful!
Nice share my thanks comes after test.
GREEEEEEEEEETZ!!!
Thanks, let me know if you like it if you feel like testing.
hmmm
the same bootanimation from bazzrom 2.2...

iplaygalaxyy for android
I've never even heard of that name before. I used the animation files from the official cyanogenmod site and increased the loop counts of second part so that animation doesn't start over until the phone is at the homescreen

[Boot Animation] Sony Xperia Z

got it from here: http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/01/18/jelly-bean-xperia-boot-animation-available-to-download/
then modified the desc.txt it to fit our screen and removed the "XPERIA" screen from the boot animation, so its just the animated part (reduced the file size somewhat by doing this).
download the file HERE
rename it to bootanimation.zip
place in data/local
reboot and enjoy
Preview (note that the images were degraded to create the gif, will run smoother and look better on your screen)
