[Q] Possible to install Samsung apps on CyanogenMod? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Okay, so I just got my GS4 and installed cm10.1 but I was wondering, is it possible if someone uploaded the apks that I could install select apps like the camera app and watchon?

The short answer is no.
These apps both requires additional pieces and code from the stock ROM in order to function properly.

HTC messaging app for vibrant?

Is there a way we could install HTC messaging app on our vibrants? Maybe somebody has an apk file to try? I love Samsung one, but it lags so bad at times!

FYI, its not the htc app, but the default messaging app from CM 5.0.8 for the nexus one will install just fine on the vibrant, IF you have root, and delete the stock application.
cheers
Is there a stickey for doing such process?

Once you have root, you could either do it via adb, or go download root manager and delete stock app, then you should.be able to install the apk file of the other messaging client.

Or you can use this great app called "multi window manager" found here in the play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bjbinc.multiwindowmanager
For this one all you have to do is install the app and then enable the apps you would like to use , save then reboot and your good.
You need root access for both of these options. It does not matter if your odexed or deodexed.
Hope you guys enjoy
I also verified it's working. Thank you!

You have to be rooted. Open the installer, install the framework, then goto modules and check the multi window

How are you getting the modules from villianrom website?
ATT S4 Rooted. Beastin.
4.2.2
If you're asking me, then I'm not 100% sure what you're asking. I downloaded the xposed installer apk, and installed it. Then i rebooted, then I installed the multi apk, checked the box for it in xposed, and rebooted again. I used the download links from the OP.

I have not even checked on it yet might be able to find some in the note two sections but I cannot promise you they will work because most of the people use VR theming now or the other morph theming which requires us to have a custom recovery

[Q]How can I remove and replace stock apps?

I'm running CyanogenMod 11, and I wanted to remove the stock camera, I found alot of links on google to do it through Terminal Emulator but It never works. also I want to replace it with the camera from the stock rom, and if I try to install that the app never installs properly. Any help would be appreciated.

You won't get a Sense camera to work on a non-sense ROM, just doesn't work, so you won't get the stock Rezound camera to work on CM.
If you like a different camera app, just install it, and if you REALLY want it in the system, use something like Ultimate Backup or Titanium Backup to make it a system file, and associate camera with it. You could also remove the stock camera app if you want, but why?
I don't like the redundancy, and it saves space on the the device. Its frozen for now but I'd rather exercise my android more than that.

Fair enough... You can remove a system app with either of the two programs I mentioned above as well.

Hacked touchwiz email client

Anyone have a flashable (preferably) touchwiz email client without exchange securities? Some of the roms on here have them available but im looking for either the APK's or a flashable version of this for the roms that dont have it naively
I personally haven't seen an APK for this, but there are definitely modules for the Xposed framework that will allow bypassing the exchange restrictions. If your phone is already rooted, you should try it out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Even though the installer allows uninstallation, you should still make a nandroid backup before installing it.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. I actually pulled the hacked email apk's from another rom and installed then manually. Works like a charm!

Excellent. Glad you got it working.
Just for future reference, would you mind posting what ROM you found that APK in?
You never know who might find this thread in a search some day.

Indeed. I pulled them from Hyperdrive rom. Two apks are needed, SEC_exchange.Apk and sec_email.apk
