Ubuntu Touch out of preview ? - Ubuntu Touch Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just noticed Ubuntu Touch 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) Daily Build ( http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch/daily-preinstalled/current/ )
and here is the preview links ( http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch-preview/daily-preinstalled/current/ )
Something its not right... Seems to be moved from 13.04 ( dev preview ) to current Ubuntu Touch 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) what i found strange i don`t fiind any news about this and its seems its out from 11 June.

well im in the mail list and that under this text is a subject of a mail.

iirc, the link without "preview" in the url refers to the flipped containers version while the preview one does not. Preview just started building saucy as well.

Oh yea! Ubuntu almost bare metal

I've tried it with the SD-card version of the android, but it doesn’t support loop devices.
May be with the other version or with some fixes in the kernel will work...
Did anyone of u tried it on wave 2..or wave 1?? And did u got it functional??
Will it be laggy? Since ubuntu is for desktop?

[Q] Building CM from source is failing

Okay, so I'm trying to build CM from source for the Galaxy S4 i9505 using the official guide here. I am doing this inside a newly set up Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit virtual machine.
Everything seems to be working fine until I actually run the build. I sit there and let it do its thing but eventually after around 40 minutes "make" gives me an error saying one of the .dex files is killed, then I'm returned to my prompt. I look in the $OUT directory (~/android/system/out/target/product/jfltexx) and some images are there, but no actual .zip for the built system.
It seems like something is going wrong before the build can complete and the computer just gives up, but I have no idea why.
Here is a screenshot which should hopefully provide more information:

First, I'm not related to this project. It's an excelent work of a David Ludwig's SDL WinRT/WP8 port and PrBoom team. I just compiled an ARM version (you may find it in attachment).
App is running on my L-920 pretty smooth however currently there are no (actually) controls; so may be developers will be much more interested in that project (on current stage) than regular users.
Enjoy!

Hopefully someone can change the wad to include mp3s of the music to play rather than listening to silence as wp8 doesn't support midi like the experience on Rockbox :/
Yep, it will be a good idea to add mp3/ogg music tracks and the real controls (like a virtual joystick). Why don't you try? Everything is available on the Dave's page on bitbucket...

Where Hieroglyphs Come From

Just a little bit of humor today~!
I was thinking about what would happen if I upgraded my Dad's Windows 7 machine to Windows 11 For Him~!
He's a smart man just not computer smart, very set in his ways, you know the type...
I imagine sitting next to him at his desk on the machine I built for him a decade ago that is still thriving to this day... haha
And him running into these symbols on a right click and not seeing any written instructions to copy pasta!!!

I can see the Steam exhausting out of every single crinkle in his brow, as he exclaims~!
"WHO KIDNAPPED A PHAROH AND PUT HEIROGLYPHS ON MY MACHINE!!1!!1"
After laughing at our morally ambiguous Schadenfreude session,
I realize.... he May Be Right. :0
Oh and did you know in WSA 127.0.0.1 is the Honeypot? Conspiracy Theory~!
