Successfully rooted Galaxy Player 4.0 YP-GB1 (Korean Version)!!

I wanted to post how I rooted my Samsung YP-GB1 for those that are having trouble. My galaxy is the Korean version, 16gb, 2.3.6 stock firmware, and has the KRKPC kernel.
1). Check your kernel in the about device section. It should have KRKPC in the title. Then go here to download the modified stock kernel:
(pspmaster.tistory.com/120)(your looking for build 39 at the bottom of the page).
2). Make sure the system drivers are installed, by simply connectiong to kies. Kies will install the drivers automatically when you connect your device to it. then make sure kies is closed before continuing.
3). Download odin3 and unzip and run program.
4). Make sure "Auto Reboot & "F.Reset Time" are checked. Check the box next to "PDA" and click the "PDA" button. This will allow you to locate the new downloaded kernel on you computer and load it!
5). Now before connecting your galaxy to your computer put it in download mode first. Hold the power, volume down, and home button at the same time. Once you see the downloading screen connect your device to your computer.
6). Once your device is connected, you will see a yellow box appear in the first "ID:Com" box in the odin software. You are now ready to click start!
7). Click start and let it do it's magic. The galaxy will reboot automatically after lots of text appear on the screen.
8). Then go to the "play Store" and download the "Tegrak Kernel" app. Open and scroll down to "enable rooting." Allow superuser permission and your done!
I would recommend if your new to this going to youtube and searching for "how to flash a kernel" and watch some tutorials before trying. Also, thanks to Tegrak and the developers who put so much time into making our android experience just that much better!!
Please remember I am not a developer and am not resposible if you mess your device up! I searched the forum for quite some time and asked questions before trying this, so please do the same if you feel reluctant to try!
This is tegrak's blog
Sent from my galaxy s using XDA
I am very keen to root my Korean yp-gb1 32Gb device.
I would try the method suggested by the OP but in 'About device' and under 'Build number' it says "GINGERBREAD.KRKPH", which is different from the one stated.
My 'Firmware version' is 2.3.6 and the 'Kernel version' is 2.6.35.7.
I unsuccessfully tried 'superoneclick' and 'DoomLoRD's rooting programs. Then I learnt somewhere in the forums that the kernel needed flashing before this device could be rooted.
Would it be safe to try the procedure that this thread is dedicated to?
Can I get some help please?
question
may Kernel is KRKPH how can i root it

USB Debugging missing in System Settings

Hi, I have installed the [ROM] Lenovo P780 Pre-rooted Official ROMs for Flash Tool with TWRP and now I do not find the "USB Debugging" option in the App option of System Settings. Instead appear a list of the applications installed where I can select any app change options.
This ROM comes configured to Root as default.

I don't know if it is like other roms, but perhaps you may wanna try to go to the About phone and tapping 7 times on the "Build number" option to enable the Development settings menu.

[Q] USB Debugging disabled on CarbonRom

Hello,
i just flashed CarbonRom (from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447870) KitKat 4.4.2
Did full wipe, installed GApps, everything works fine but USB Debugging is disabled.
I checked everything under Settings but I can't find any point under settings. Normally it's under security oder developer but neither are there.
Anyone has a idea?

[Q] help me :(

Several months ago, Root worked by ghettoroot-v0.2.2, but now when I want to work your root shows me so what is the solution

Just trying
Although I am not the programmer responsible and am not familiar with the utility your attempting to use. I can make a couple good, all be it obvious, suggestions. One is you need to set the phone into debugging mode. One way is to go to system settings. Scroll down to phone info and then tap on build number until developer options has been enabled. Then back up one menu and choose developer options. Set them to on with toggle and then scroll to USB debugging and toggle it on. Plug in the phone and take a spin. If this does not work then try downloading an APK that can be found by searching Google (All sarcasm aside) by the name of hidden menu. If you need I can link it. I personally found it in a thread on this forum. Then when using that go to phone util and select Qualcomm USB and set it to the option at the bottom. It will say DM. Then try with that. If all the above does not work report your findings and I'm sure someone will be able to chime in. Oh..... Side note. Sometimes with our phone uninstalling and reinstalling driver is needed. Sense there are programs we use that will burn out the driver. (Yes driver burn out is a real thing)
Also..... Why would you need to reroot a "rooted" phone? Did you unroot? Lose unlocked bootloader?
I tried and did not benefit
