Thanks for the update! Just wondering, what is the floating window feature? I was thinking of switching from SmoothRom 5.2 but would like to know what this feature is before I switch.

Nice to see your thread up and running.

Floating window is a feature in version one which we hope to expand on. It uses some function from halo but we don't want to use all of halo - for now here is a video showing one quick thing. Would have been longer but I don't have a good camera.

One question, why isn't it compiled with 4.8.1? I have no problem with 4.7, just wondering.
By the way, running it right now and it is seriously awesome.

Nice to see another rom here. Awesome work!

At the moment just because I am lazy - if you check the BeerGang Community page you will see I am a little busy with stuff at the moment
However, it is my plan to bump it. I can't go any higher as I compile on Mac & it doesn't like it. Not even sure if it likes 4.8 yet.

I think its great. It doesn't take up screen space as halo does with its floating notification circle

I haven't been following ROMs lately, but I remember seeing a statement from the developer of JellyBeer that said he was stopping developing.
What has happened? I could be completely wrong of course.

Asus Nexus 7
Eos is an android custom rom for a wide range of devices. We support phones and tablets alike. From the Motorola Xoom, to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, to the Asus Nexus 7.
We proudly base all of our modifications off of the Android open source project, and try to (whenever feasible) develop all of our modifications without basing them off of others work (kanging).
Even though we try our hardest to ensure that every single build is as stable as possible, we can't guarantee that every build will be stable. However, most of our users agree that our nightly roms are very much stable and are considered "daily drivers".

Nope, you're more than welcome to stay on the nightly releases. The only difference between nightly #31 and stable 3.0 is that a few headers in the Settings application have been changed. This fix will also be included in the next nightly

Does anybody know if the camera works in this ROM?
E:/ Just tested it, and no, the camera doesn't work. No camera app included in gapps, and using CameraZoom FX I get an error saying it can't communicate with the camera.
No, camera does not work.
Great job guys keep it up ill install tomorrow so i can help out with bugs!

Do I need to flash SuperSU in recovery to get root?
Yes. Flash it in recovery..
Is there more slim features in this build?
Sent from my AOSP on Flo using xda app-developers app
Not yet, still getting the core functions down.
new version is up guys
the launcher problems as well the keyboard popup we cannot do anything...this is a bug on googles closed sourced new launcher lol. Lets hope they will update it as well soon. You can use nova instead which is in our builds as well
about camera we need to wait for the new bloobs from google. All other would be a hackish workaround which does not make sense assuming the blobs will be released soon
there are already some slim features in last build
whatever
Fixes new version:
- added dalvik optimizations....so speed up step one
- reworked and adapted status bar clock and date customization to 4.4
- added some of our camera features (smart captchure, jpg quality, color filter, gps indicator)
- reworked the complete camera to the new google style. Google stoped it after they finished the photo camera interface lol. So all into new PIE style + some fixes + more consistent now
- added a bunch of Mms/SMS fixes
- activated on supported devices lockscreen transparency on nav and statusbar
- some stability fixes
- fixed some google 4.4 code derps
- a lot small stuff
have fun and cheers
PS. the camera features for flo of course you cannot use right now
Good work slim team. Thanks much!

Where do I find halo and multiwindow? Is there a way to enable recents on long press home button

Since this is a port if a nexus ROM which doesn't have hardware keys no long press to enable recent sorry if you enable soft keys there's a recents button there. I really like the look recents on this ROM.
To be honest I've searched for halo multiwindow and haven't found it either. I'll search the other V.U threads to try and find and answer. I copied the V.U o.p which mentions halo I might remove from o.p so its not misleading
Also to clear all recents open the recents with soft keys and pinch from the top, that will clear all..

Is there an option to turn the backlight on the touchkeys to off?
Hey guys, I removed Halo and Multiwindow because of memory leaks.
Hardware keys customization is there but could be lost because of the port.
On my Z1 its there.
I own a Note 2 myself but I dont have the server money right now for many devices.
Kindly Regards
Pretty sick ROM. Problem is, I'm having WiFi issues. I flashed Agni kernel. Should I have stayed with stock kernel or do you guys have a recommendation?

Use plasma kernel and the synapses app to control it.

That is the forum for shift. Read it all though the op and the last few pages since there are a bunch of test builds and changes as well. And as for plasma I saw Zain had posted that for you already. C:
