Any way to get whatever version of "blur" the bionic and Droid 3 ported to the photon?
My friend has a bionic and his wife has the Droid 3 and their versions of blur are smoother and faster than the "blur" we have. Id use the stock launcher if it was like theirs. Ours is slow and laggy. Both demo units at my local stores were laggy as well so I know its notmy phone.

Strange, my Blur runs smooth without any hiccups, and im running setcpu at 608mhz. So its underclocked on stock rom and kernel.

Well I'm not sure y every photon I use it has lag on the stock launcher. I use LPP and its smooth as hell, back to stock launcher and it lags...

I read it has something to do with widgets, not sure if its the number of widgets, Motorola widgets or android widgets that cause the issue.

even with this monster of information reading and work to put in, I would love to see what you brought up........ its shady we got the low end of the stick their launcher is way better than ours ud think with nVid gpu we have id be more likely to have some better animations.... but noooo........ id like to see someone port this over... id gladly donate to the dev that can port the bionic launcher over to our mopho....

I brought this same thing up when the phone first launched. I really want the droid 3 launcher but it looks like that is a pretty hard task. Motorola's file structure seems to be the most complicated besides Samsung and it's harder than probably thought to be..
I don't think we will officially see it because it's really made for the whole DRoid push that verizon has. I saw somewhere that we actually don't have a blur phone so that's why we are not getting it. The verizon phones are running motoblur.

This is not a support thread, if you chose to compile or beta test jb then you knew what you were getting yourself into. That being said, if you find a fix please share.

yeah.. are you running the release from today?
One thing I saw was that I couldn't mount my storage to my PC or it would hot reboot or just not mount at all. I haven't tried it on aokp yet though.

Keyboard in landscape only shows top row of qwerty for me. All bunched up to the left too. Don't know if this has been discussed yet just thought I'd share.
Edit: works fine after a reboot.

Yea, it was clean flashed. Ok i just tried it again on AOKP JB and it mounted just fine. Maybe it was just my build?

I'm on a build from 2 nights ago but the sound profile seems finicky. Like it will show the icon n status bar that its on silent. But a notification will sound, then I can use the volume hardware buttons and see that the ringers way up, but if I turn it back down and LA with it a bit it gets right.
Also, with the play store when I am doing what I call rapid fire downloading, which is scrolling through "my apps" and installing one after the other, is rare but after about 12 apps sometimes the play store will just force close to the home screen. But then I can open it and it loads up fresh and works fine.

no FC for me. just random reboots. happens a lot when apps request root. at first set up its annoying but after that it seems to work well.

Not until you just mentioned it. I think it's a pretty silly gimmick and I never notice it unless I'm looking for it. I can confirm though.
Was listening to BT music and placed a call ( with phone not bluetooth ) was done with the call the audio played from phone and not from BT.
Going to start a ROM bounty here.
Plain and simple i love the idea of the ROM and would like to see a stable build for us.
Bounty will be played upon dev completing a stable build with no major bugs (ie. cell/data/3g,late working/MMS,GPS etc)
I know this can be done and would love to do it if i had the skill sets or the time.

They can flame all they want. Doesn't bother me. I'd like to see some new stuff in the community and am willing to fork out some money to see it. There may or may not be others that feel the same way but hey that's their opinion.

Yeah I've tries it as well as a few other ppl here phone FCS along with contact storage.
I manages to get data working with some edits but no one can get cell service ie. Phone calls to work even when using an alternate dialer like exdialer. Simply says dialing and never goes through.
I also tried the porting tool same issues

Trust me, once you get on jb you gunna want ics back.
The battery life is terrible and can't use volume booster or any other equalizer for that matter.
Plus the only difference look wise is little things like signal bar and tickers/switches in settings.
As for apps, same variety except you can get Google Now.
But that's just my opinion

How are you guys doing this are you using kitchen or android sdk. I am a noob when it comes to this stuff, but I have done a little research. Most of the guides I come across are using custom Roms for the example.

Thank you!!!!!!! This is at least great news after my epic fail with trying to unlock the bootloader of my P769. I can't wait for the themes! Can I recommend Holo? Pleeeeeease....lmao.
Everything runs great except that Goggle Keyboard kept force closing. I fixed it by using ES File Explorer to reinstall it but it happened again when I rebooted. I wound up removing it. Great job, though.

yea i kno ... i thought the amaze was hhard to unlock...this got that beat...i did unlock the g2x when i had last month was easy ...u tried anything else as far unlocking the boot loader

Oh man I would be happy to use the wire trick on this phone if it unlocked the boot loader hahaha. I kind of regret getting the l9 as a warranty replacement for my amaze :/

Haven't had time for much, just been working and sleeping alot. Will hopefully have it themed at least the big parts by next week or so.
