Hi Tys0n
I'm confused. I have here a log mobileodin.txt from i8190 to send to Chainfire to make compatibility whit MobileOdin.
On this log there are a partition 12 modemfs and you flash the modem.bin on partition 16 (I look Your updater_script).
Because this seems not be the same thing how can I see the partitions by-name + number please?
And what is the modemfs?
This is only curiosity. I flashed this Rom by Odin and I have Your modem already working.
Thank You

Hi. I guess 16 is where the modem.bin goes, and 12 "/modemfs" is where it gets extracted to maybe. I don't know. I got the info I needed from enox dsixda kitchen guide in general forum.

It should work with any rom as long as it's the right baseband for your region.
Sent through time and space from my s3mini/CM10.1

I did a full nandroid back up. Flashed the modem. Got unknown baseband. Restore my phone. Now it shows as xxamg1. Actually i dont know how to know the region of my phone. Haha.

Ps. Im on dxama2 before. Try to restart. Now im on xxamg1.

Yes, I've noticed it takes another reboot for the baseband version to be set. Don't know why that is. Extraction of the modem.bin may be.

Sorry to hear it still shows as xxxx even now when your signal is back. I'll see if I can come up with something when I'm back at home.

downloaded build 3 no problem, tried to flash it after wiping cache and davlik and was rewarded with a nasty bootloop. hmmmm. So i reflashed 7/17 cm7 then downloaded #2 and flashed it, no problems then #3 flashed fine. Be forewarned it totally wiped my data dunno if it was the bootloop or if the nightlies do that. So make sure you flash #2 first!! Also it wiped my Glitch kernel and installed some dirty wolverine one. Will install all my apps and test drive it.

Wiped cache and installed #3 just fine, no data loss. And yes it will overwrite your glitch kernel with the included one. Just reflash whatever kernel you want, but beware it may bork something if the fix is the kernel.

[Q] Do we have recovery?

guys i have this phone about a week.
And now i were send some stuff (music, photos) to my phone and i saw that i have folder named RECOVERY in External storage.
Does that mean that we already have some sort of recovery instaled on phone or it just a garbage?

all android phones have a recovery, that might be a folder used for the initial flashing of the firmware. what we're after is a custom recovery (like clockworkmod) so that we can install unsigned/custom packages/roms.

Correct.
At the moment devs are working on making it work - in fact we got so frustrated a few days ago we just went to sleep after a million tries

@The $niper
What he is referring to is to read other posts, this is a common problem which usually occurs when people carelessly flash without any backup of their "efs" partition. There are several threads regarding this issue and be warned sometimes it doesn't get resolved at all, but mostly a re flash of a stock rom usually does the trick.

Because it's temporary storage for data.
It's usually used when flashing something and wiped afterwards. There is really no point in backing it up.

[HELP NEEDED] Extract / Flash specific Baseband from Firmware / FTF with Flashtool..

Hi everybody,
I've posted my question also here:
Can someone around here please explain how to extract only the specific baseband from a firmware / ftf..?
I'm trying to figure this out since days.
Mostly, for example in flashtool, when I selected a ftf-File, I don't see "baseband" on the right list?
I tried four different stock-roms now, but nowhere is 'Baseband' in flashtool visible..?

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I only want to flash the baseband with flashtool and exclude everything else.
Is this possible?
I experienced definitely different wifi-performance states with the Z2 D6503 on KitKat, Lollipop and Marshmallow.
The best wifi-performance has been till now on KK 4.4.4, Firmware 23.0.1.1A.0.167, with the baseband-version:
8974-AAAAANPZQ-00027-12
Marshmallow has been the worst of all, Lollipop something in between, and with the named Kitkat-Baseband / Version my Wifi
was able to find the most wifi-networks.
If someone can please explain how to extract only the baseband file, then I will see what I can do and will
share a ready-to-go flashable *.zip file here..
Thank you in anticipation for any help !

Done twice with Flashtool v.0.9.22.3.
Unplugged the phone after flashing only the first three 'AMSS'-entries in the list, I've excluded the rest..rebooted, but the Baseband still stays on
8974-AAAAANPZQ-00061-61
and doesn't change
I've tried also another firmware-file to be sure that the source-ftf isn't corrupt, but that also didn't do the trick..?
EDIT: Right before flashing a window appears which is asking if a FSC-Script, which has been found, should be used.
I've tried to flash with both answers yes/no, but nothing changed.?
Thanks!
@Vamox
I prefer to use flashtool v0.9.18.6 and I think baseband is related to its android version, I'm not sure exactly.
