Unfortunatelly yes. Im gonna try something tomorrow morning. If i get success, i'll create a new post. If not, will cry very very loud. Thanks for the answers

Lelus said somewhere that only some carriers allow unlocking bootloader, trust me it s true, I tried unlocking on various firmwares, every time phone just reboots. I was finally able to unlock on v20A indian. But others were successful in unlocking on firmwares on which I was unsuccessful. And some waited for over 11hours and then they were able to unlock. So give a try once more.

I'm just a little confused about this waitng time: The phone needs to be connected to pc in lg mode for 30min or the phone just needs to be with signal and internet connection for over 30 min and then connect to pc and do ad reboot oem-unlock?
Thanks for replying

I'm having the same exact problem...
I can't root/unlock either...

Still no solution for me

same issues here
I have the p769 with v20f and I have not been able to find a way too unlock my bootloader either. Help would be much appreciated.

I think the problem for some, is that the u-boot is not getting replaced while performing the offline flash. Try extracting the u-boot from the kdz and flash with fastboot to the system.
Run offline flash of 20b kdz and when the phone boots up, turn it back off and flash the u-boot you extracted from 20b, then wait 30 min (I waited longer) and try.

Okay, before you do "adb reboot oem-unlock", move "Android" folder from your sdcard0 to your C: drive. Then open command prompt and type "cd c:/Android" after that type adb reboot oem-unlock.

you may use any europe version's P760 rom to unlock your P765
btw my p765 is unlocked using europe open v20b and now upgraded to p765 v20d HongKong version
I too had the same problem on my P765 Indian version. I tried oem-unlock many times on stock JB India rom but it didn't work.
Then I have flashed JB EUROPE OPEN rom and "adb reboot oem-unlock" worked with the very first attempt (ofcourse kept the phone on for 1 hour). Once bootloader is unlocked it stays unlocked even if we flash another kdz. So, I flashed stock JB India rom to make my phone work perfectly without any (possible) issues.
Then I had trouble installing fastboot drivers on windows xp. Since fastboot drivers are not needed in linux, i just installed ubuntu 13.04 and then installed packages "android-tools-adb" and "android-tools-fastboot" from universe repository.
Then its just few commands away from having custom recovery.
sudo adb devices
sudo adb reboot oem-unlock
sudo fastboot devices
sudo fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
That's it . I now have CWM recovery.
Now i will backup the stock rom and try CM10.1

Insure that you have installed all the LG drivers aswell as Fastboot drivers for ti omap 4430
It could be drivers problem, I had faced similar problems until i installed fasboot drivers on my PC.
Use guide by @markolino631 Instead of typing commands use his one click tool.
It Works Great.
Try flashing P760 Eu open ROM on P765. then try again.

After few days i updated to JB again, but this time OTA. And to my surprise, when i tried to unlock the bootloader using this method, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221102 , it went through in the 1st attempt

Well I did it manually I backed up xloader and u boot before and after but is it really possible, to relock the phone with those files? Anyone who tried it already? And yes I was able to unlock. It came with JB v20c preinstalled, I then rooted with the LGpawn app, installed all drivers, set it to lg software mode, waited for 30 minutes, rebooted via fastboot oem-unlock command, pushed vol up and voila lets see, how long this ROM is able to last on my phone

No it's not possible to relock the phone, Dump your current xloader and uboot and compare to backups and you will see that they are identical.
Omap4430 bootloader security is an efuse based, uboot only reads it's state.

Not sure in your case, but I'm guessing if you fastboot flash a u-boot from ice cream or a u-boot.img from a kdz that is not unlockable, It will temporarily lock your device ( will receive the lg security error), if you flash a custom recovery or boot IMG.
That is the case with the p769 version
If I'm not mistaken the x-loader is never changed. I could be wrong, I need to perform a md5 sum check on the x before and after flashing a new kdz, to be 100% sure

[Q] BRICKED after unlocking bootloader

So i finally unlocked my bootloader on my p769. After i unlocked it i went to recovery and restored my backup to a 20F T-mobile P769 rom (yes i know this was stupid, I should have installed recovery via fastboot while I had it open). My touch screen is borked and I have no recovery set up.
Things I've tried:
To turn on USB debugging, the backup i restored does not have a homescreen so I cannot access the settings to turn it on.
The KDZ offline flash method, but it always stops at 15% even though i've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers countless times.
"Upgrade recovery" via the LG software tool. It gets to the part where it downloads the file and even after 2 hours it doesn't download. My hosts file did not have LGs IP when i tried this.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a button combination to force my phone to go to fastboot mode? Or can i got from s/w upgrade mode to fastboot mode? This is really frustrating.
Alright so i managed to turn USB debugging on, but i have no root or recovery. Is there anything I can do from here?
EDIT: managed to get root and installed busybox the correct busybox. i can't seem to get the recovery to install though (im using the l9 recovery installer APK. It says the recovery is installed but it won't reboot into recovery and the LEDs dont flash when i power on the phone). My phones touchscreen is still borked.
That LG software tool never worked for me and I never used it. Find a kdz uploaded and keep the phone on. No sw mode. I've been reading a lot of stuff on here about u boot and adb. . .never did any of that with other phones but I haven't bricked this one either to test any methods. P769 with v20f getting security error

Hi,
I had my P769(T-mobile) running v20f for a while, everything was fine till I tried to unlock the bootloader yesterday......
I followed the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2370835, but was not aware that the bootloader unlock was unsuccessful before I used fastboot to install the cwm recovery. Then.....I got the security error when I tried to reboot the phone.
Now fastboot can connect to the phone and reflash x-loader and uboot with no problem, but I cannot get my phone into s/w upgrade mode no matter what key-combination I try...... of course the LG update tool would connect to the phone neither.....
Anyone could help me fix it? Thanks!

You can try the recovery.img method. If that doesn't work, there is another way in that post.

You can try the recovery.img method. If that doesn't work, there is another way in that post.

[Q] Bootloader doesn't unlock (P760)

Hi guys! I have the LG P760 with V20C OPEN MARKET (Europe) official stock firmware. In the firmware's changelog I read that the bootloader is unlocked by default, but it isn't true.
I have tried to unlock bootloader using fastboot tool from command line, but after processing the phone reboot in normal mode.
How do I unlock the bootloader? I have the root and CMW on my phone, but stock firmware

This generally works, i mean it worked for everyone
Just connect phone put it in usb debugging and software mode and run commands..
Btw try wiping data and cache.
Uninstall and then install every lg driver but first delete every folder left behind and if nothing works flash the v20b or v20c kdz and try again...

Nothing, I tried again. I have left only re-flash v20c. Before the wiping, I should save my data by Nandroid Backup or backup App from Titanium Backup?
Buddy just save ur app data with any app like go backup etc then do nandroid backup and then reflash...

I read that my phone isn't unlockable because I bought this device recently. Is it true or not true?
(I bought its on June 2013)

All P760 are unlockable. I think all P765 are unlockable too. Only some P768 and P769 are not unlockable (for now).
