Specs...? - Samsung Galaxy S 4 Zoom

Wherever i read, the specs for the Zoom are different.
i know there is a LTE and non LTE version, but what about:
USB OTG?
MHL (HDMI)?
FM Radio?
IrDA?
LED?
GSMarena says yes to all, German site says NO...

USB OTG (HostUSB) - yes
MHL -yes
FM Dadio -no
IrDA -yes
LED - LED notification - no
As a flashlight and camera lighting - not
Only xenon flash and autofocus LED (red)

Galaxy SII notification LED?

I saw a lot of Galaxy S2 preview movies now. But one thing I'm still missing is the notification led....
Lots of reviews, do a review with the charger hooked to the phone. But there's nowhere a led burning that the S2 is charging or something.
Is there a indication LED on the S2 or did the people at Samsung just leave it out?
Personally I think I would miss the led notification if it isn't there.....
Is there somebody who can tell a bit more about this?
Nope, there is no Notification LED for Galaxy S II.

Yes, we do. Anyone care to start?
Somebody told me that on the Galaxy S there was a way to use the buttons on the bottom of the device to use them as a notification led.... Anybody has more information about this? Or a movie as an example?
Found it!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Prqoe9ErQsU
Would be nice if this could be done on the S2.

No LED notification - Is this final? This makes me sad :|
Will this stress the LED bulbs out to a point where they will die out?

No, LED's have a lifetime well over 25 years of normal daily use. You will never burn them out unless it was defective.
Well, then I will certainly look forward to his mod. Although the Sound alerts will also suffice.
But that'd only for SMS though
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Would be nice if someone could make a program in which different patterns for lightning the leds at the bottom of the screen can be choosen. And that it's possible to assign different patterns to different notifications.
I often have my phone in my jacket, when I'm at work. The fastest way to check if I have a message or something is when I can take a look at the LED notification... We'll see what the future brings.
No LED? There is a video on YT of the boot-up sequence and at 20 seconds in a LED flashes purple at the top left (next to the front facing camera). The model is a retail version (as it has the Samsung logo on). Surely this is the notification LED - or am I mistaken?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nadLbii_TYA
Corrected - seems I was wrong! Didn't know the video had already been posted on XDA, turns out it is a proximity sensor

Any news on the mod which acitvates the light of the home and back button when you have a new message?
The app that you guys are searching for, to turn on the buttons, is called BLN Control.
Here's the site:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/bln-control-free/neldar.bln.control.free
It requires you to have a kernel that has a BLN mod however.
Finally its here!

Thanks for this. I checked the site but didn't see how to install it. So i googled it and found this:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/enable-back-light-notifications-on-galaxy-s-ii-with-bln-guide/
You need to have a rooted sgs2 and CWM installed. download the zip from here (same link posted from the site mentioned):
http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&drKey=1359&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D1200262&v=1&libid=1312840807984&out=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.multiupload.com%2FIY7A211PI7&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.xda-developers.com%2Fandroid%2Fbacklight-notifications-mod-for-galaxy-sii%2F&title=%5BMOD%5D%20BackLight%20Notifications%20for%20Galaxy%20SII%20-%20GT9100%20-%20xda-developers&txt=Back_Light_Notification_GS2_v3.zip%20(6.77%20MB)&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13128419398541
Flash it in CWM, then reboot. and now my buttons light up when there's a new message.
btw, you should also have the BLN control app from the market (the lite version is free, but less options of course.)
Update: I bought the pro version! and now i can set it to blink, plus it also blinks when there are missed calls. Lite version has only a static light and doesn't notify on missed calls.

[Q] Notification LED

Hi all,
I've noticed there are several different LED colors that appear for notifications.
Was just wondering if anyone had figured out which color corresponds to which notification?
Because sometimes the light is blue, green or white? Can't decide which color is for what
Thanks guys

There is not much informations on that page.
When you plug the charger, led will red if battery level is btw 0 and 90%, above 90% its green (even at 100, it still show green-i dont like that).
When you download any app on market, led will blink...
The notification LED can be controlled based on what the app wants. FB can make a blue LED, Whatsapp and general notifications are green, charging is yellow, fatal errors are red, white I've seen on different apps, so it really depends on your app usage. You can't control it directly though settings or anything.
Thanks all for your answers.
Does anyone know of an app in the market which enables you to take control of the LED color? So I can set the LED to flash a set color for certain apps?
Thanks again everyone.
Light Flow works, but you gotta go into
General settings for the app and enable "Direct Mode"
It also asks for root and accessibility settings enabled, but it does work

Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
I 'm using. 54 stock rom from factory
just repaired it with pc companion but nothing at all... when i get a notification the led blink up but just once and then off... any idea?
Try any led control software to check hardware site of this problem, for ex. "Light Flow Lite". I think in these Xperias are two or more leds, maybe one of them is dead?
already tried lightflow, led blinker and etc...
The Led on it's own working.. so there's only software problem..

Hmm yeah but I dont understand why you need the apps, Sony put built in LED notification
yes, thats not working..
As I said, there's probably more than one led inside your phone, so if one is good (for ex. yellow, green and white colours) the other one may be broken - then (that's an ex.) violet won't work.
Try using some app to change led color for all notifications to red (because red is working for you when charging), then check.
Sorry for bad english, I'm from Poland ^^.

Sent from my LT22i using xda premium
Installed the latest .75 firmware with pc companion and now the led dont works either but alfter 3 hours of listening music the sound driver died too and now the phone just lagging and there's no sound at all..
The led controlling programs are dont work with any colour.. But I think all of the colours arr not broken because green and blue works (fastboot, flashmode) orange and red too so...
I think i'm cursed :'(
Do you have rooted your phone already, unlock bootloader or have different kernel?

What is this OLD vs NEW LED thing?

What is this New LED vs Old LED issue?
I am running Latest RR by Alexey Old LED build and sometimes my LED light flashes all colors(disco like) for some notifications.
Tried with the New LED driver but in that only charging LED works.
Is this normal behaviour?
Can somebody explain me what is this LED issue and how to get it working normally?

There is new led and old led build (or patch) because in some devices led notification is not working properly. You just need to install new led for example and if led notifications work fine, then you are done. But if led notifications are bugged or don't work correctly, you just flash old led build (or patch) and then it should be fine. Other than that, no other changes are applied to led notifications. You just choose the right version for your device.

afaik there is no way to check in advance what build suits your device, as you said, it's a trial and error method.

No, ist doesn't have LED notification...
In terms of hardware we do have a LED up at the speaker, but it doesn't work for notifications. I guess they want us to use "moto display" instead.

Thanks, I'll try it tomorrow or so. I noticed in kernel manager EX that there's a bunch of "triggers" to choose from for the led, like usb-online, charging, etc. Now I've set it to "battery-charging-blink-full-solid" which I guess means blinking while charging and solid when it's full.
Let's see how that works.
I tried the "FrontFlash Notification" and it seems to be working fine, but for me it's just too bright for having as notification led as it uses the camera flash. Uninstalled it.
I'll continuing using the "hidden" led as a battery charging notification though.
hi please tell how to the led notification in moto one macro
