I have never seen that before so i have no idea, but my best guess if you can´t find it anywhere it could be some app you have installed

Maybe the alarm

It looks like this picture, which is a hearing loop icon. The Ultra may have settings for hearing aids, like they have in some banks and other public spaces.
Apparently the Z has this function too, but isn't mentioned in the manual either!

Maybe this is not the answer you are looking for but...
To get Big pictures on contacts don´t sync with google contacts. Use the phone contacts app and choose a BIG picture for your contacts. It works great!
That bloody worked thank you very much I wouldn't of thought to do that I just thought I might have to disable the stock app for it ..thank

I´m glad you´re happy with this solution.
It´s very very weird that Google still needs a micro-picture contacts file in the time of HD-phones alike are available at affordable prices.

And I believe that was the same reason why you had smaller images in stock app.
So now that you used bigger picture you can try with stock app.

[Q] dead area on touchscreen :-(

See the attached image, you can notice the horizontal blank area when I tried to draw vertical lines. Now its very difficult to use the top controls of many apps. Phone had fallen down a few times, but that was months ago. Now suddenly this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
There is a topic about the same thing already, use search.

Don't use auto if u want better quality. This applies to most electronic appliances.

There's no ready solution for a one click quality picture. If you want it iPhone style with overcharged colours, adjust white balance and ISO.

Get a good half-pro camera, e.g. Sony NX1.
The best suggestion...
You wont get much better quality as all generic camera software will use the firmware libs/drivers - you could learn to dev android sdk, then mod the camera/drivers, work out how to change the quality matrix/compression with in the camera apk, devise how to convert photos for raw image format using the camera libs/firmware for better compression/ratio etc.

You cant make xperia s camera any better than default ability,
the only thing you can do are taking some great apps, or just buy the Sony NEXF3 :good:
Here are my suggestions:
1.UCam:the best all-around free camera app
2.HDR Camera: when you click it, it will take 3 photos in same time and combined with best quality
3.Cymera: used to take a "beauty" face picture, and not look wired.
4.Line Camera: if u wanna upload ur pic on facebook and chat with girls, use it.
I personally find the camera much better than the one on the 4S. The only issue I had was that when you ask it to take a photo straight out of quick launch, it would be horrible. Blurred and over exposed. The greatest single change you can make to the Xperia S (IMHO) is to change the quick launch camera option to Launch Only. Startup time is still 3 times quicker than the 4S, perhaps more, and perfect shots every time.
Root ur XperiaS
edit the build.prop
add this following code
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=100

[Q] How to keep the screen on while charging?

Hello guys,
A happy and lucky Z2 owner here. I just wonder if there is any chance to keep the screen on while charging it (on the dock)?
I tried to find that option in Settings but couldn't find it. Any help would be appreciated.
Doesn't sony have an app called Smart Connect for this type of stuff? If I remember correctly, you can open Smart Connect and set a condition (attaching to dock) and an action change screen time.
I can't test and give you specifics as I'm on AOSP right now.

If you wish to use it as a beautiful photo frame while it charges I recommend using this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cloudtv.dayframe
Tap on your build number 7 times to activate developer mode. Once in there, there is a setting to keep screen awake while charging.

[Q] Z2 GPS toggle

Hi @ll!
I've got a little question concerning GPS.
I understood that kitkat changes a bit the location. there is no more a separate GPS toggle.
is there any way to have this one back? like an Xposed module, a mod, or anything?
I will be very happy if this is possible...
Thanks for help.
