Fingerprints resistance at the new level. - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

The biggest problem for me in Xperia Z was "constant" dirty phone with a "full body" of fingerprints. That was a biggest minus for me on Xperia Z. And the most difficult part there was a cleaning process. Had to constantly wash it under the water.
Thinking about that, what the whole issue is a "protective film" I have decided to took it away. The problem was increased.
I hurry please you all, Xperia Z Ultra brought this problem to a minimum.
The display is much better resists fingerprints. I want to draw attention to the fact that front glass resists fingerprints far better than the back side.
My scale points is:
Xperia Z- 2/10.
Xperia Z Ultra- 8/10.
And the most good fact that you can "easily" removed them now with out any effort. (Example like on Galaxy S 4)
Regards.

Fingerprint issue?
No more problem now.
Take the device go to shower and keep clean.
Device get Hot?
No more problem now.
Take the device go to shower and stay cold.
This is why Sony xperia waterproof & dustproof but not bullet proof.

I messed up the paint on the aluminium. Help! [photo]

Hi! I'm using a white non-LTE Xperia Z Ultra. Today I happened to mess up the aluminium frame when I was sitting in the chair playing game on my PC. My Xperia Z Ultra slipped out of my pocket and hit the floor! It managed to scratch/peel off the paint on the aluminium frame at the edge. How do I fix this? Please help!
Buy a new phone?

if you are really bothered with the paint going off you can go to a local store and have them match the colour. Sand down the surface, clean, mask of the other areas and paint

I'm pretty sure I've read about the full frame made of aluminium. But then I read that the aluminium is covered with paint (I guess to have the same colour on every single device).

The top and bottom is a plastic otherwise there would be issues with the antennas getting shielded off. The sides seems to be powdercoated while the top and bottom perhaps is laminated as you do when you print labels on to plastic boxes. Melting a piece of plastic onto the surface.

Well, the graphic isn't indeed that clear...
It says "side panels", not specifying which sides... it may refer to every side, since top and bottom are sides too...
Extract from an early interview on Z Ultra design:
So I guess they say "sides" and actually mean "ALL sides", which makes sense, as with the word "sides", if not specified, you 99% mean all of them...
So it may be all aluminium and all covered with paint...

[Q] Have you submerged your Z2?

Just a simple poll...because I'm curious.
Voted No. I don't have warranty on it. So, no.
Same goes simply because i have a gap at the top right of my screen which is leaking light and also big enough to fit a card, i wont vote till i get my replacement Z2, that is if i remember to
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No, I haven't submerged it yet, but after 1 week I bought it I ran a 14Km trail running race and rain started mid course. So double moisture: from me and from the rain. I also used it during the race to take some pictures and shoot some videos, like a race vlog
This is exactly the scenario I bought it for and it passed.
Yes I submerged mine in the swimming pool. All went absolute perfect and no problems with the phone.

No, I don't dare! Heard too many horror stories.
Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
I've run it under the tap and made a call from the shower. The shower isn't the best because the water on the screen is like touching it, it opens apps etc. I'll be using it in the pool for sure in summer.
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes, it's designed to be usable under water
Yes, I've also "washed" my phone with running water. Everything is fine. I have a very very slight gap at the top right and bottom left. The gap is barely big enough to fit one sheet of a4 paper.
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes. And was under constant splashing and dunking underwater. Fine and ports were kept dry. Make sure to rinse out the headphone jack though. I posted a while back regarding the headphone not working. Someone said to flush it out with water and I did. Works great
My Z, Z1 and Z2 all went underwater

I have not had the courage to submerge it, but I really want! It was, surely, one of the major reasons why I have bought the Xperia Z and Z2 now!

With... a rag? Micro fiber cleaning cloth? Windex? Rubbing alcohol?
It's a water proof phone- if it weren't for the fact that doing so would snap the thing in half you could probably throw it in the dish washer too.

Oh you poor fool...
I think the only real solution left to you is to just burn the affected areas off with the most powerful fire you can find. I can't really see a better solution.
I've found the only way to get rid of feeling that kind of dirty is to hit the booze for a couple of years until you forget about it.

I see. I know first hand how it is to go back to something smaller. I had to use my old Desire HD when I had my Ultra in for repairs, and it was pretty brutal. I guess you can wait a couple of weeks and see if Sony do release an Ultra 2 or not.
