[Q] How can I remove a disabled system app from the Play Store history/My Apps list) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i've noticed that once I update a system apk for the first time from the play store, it appears in the "My Apps" list on Google Play. However if I then disable that app, it still appears under the play store history (with "disabled" shown next to it), but with no way to remove it from the My Apps list. Aside from rooting the phone and removing the apk by hand (which I know causes the App to disappear from the My Apps list, disabled or not), and then reloading the apk, but disabling it before google play detects it again, is there any way to remove that app from the My Apps list in the play store? I've tried online through the desktop store but I can't find a way to do that either.

I would like to know this too, Got a bunch of crapware apps disabled (frozen) with Titanium Backup but they still show up as "Disabled" under ALL My Apps in the Google Play Store. Annoying

From your mobile open the Play Store app. Open the panel from the left and select "My apps".
Choose "All" and hit the cross on the right of each app you want to remove from this list.

That sounds good in theory but just isn't true. I have no crosses (x's) on all those apps that are disabled (frozen with Titanium Backup). There is no way to remove them from the freakin' all apps list

You need to uninstall them of course. Freezing isn't uninstalling.

Well, no sh*t lol. But we are talking about disabled (frozen) apps in this thread, not uninstalled apps

[Q] Remove app from Android Market 'My Library'

So I use the Amazon app store and GetJar for free 'paid' apps. Some of these apps are showing up in "My Library" on my Google Android Market account. Is there a way to remove them from the Android Market account?
One recent problem is Wave Launcher which used to be free on GetJar. I don't see it listed anymore on GetJar and I can't even buy it from the Android Market since it thinks it's already purchased (but declines the 'install' saying it's not purchased). A 'delete' button like in the Amazon app store library would solve all of this...
Short of changing google accounts, I don't see any options on how to fix this. Anyone have any ideas? The problem is on my market library, not my phone (I know how to remove market links, etc.). Thanks.
I to have this problem its very annoying their has to be a way to clean it up.
I actually used the 'report' app function on the google market and got a reply back. They have "forwarded your case to a specialist to begin working to resolve your issue as soon as possible". We'll see what comes of it. Amazon's app store has a simple delete button in that library. It doesn't seem like that would be too hard to implement.
did you ever get a reply for this?
would love to be able to remove all the apps i just simply try for the sake of testing and i want them gone.....
listen to your users G!
I believe Titanium Backup can do this if you are rooted.

Go on...
You can "fix" market links with it by long pressing on the app in question.

On the website I don't see an option, but it is possible on your phone.
I am not sure if all versions of the play store have this option (I am using Jelly Bean 4.1.2):
When I open the play store on my phone I can remove previous installed apps from the list.
Go to: Play Store > My Apps > All
There you can remove an app by tapping the Ø icon

Yeahp. It works.
I deleted some yesterday on my mobile, but they were still on my web "Other apps in my library".
Today, I deleted some again and reloaded the webpage. They disappeared.
Thanks for the tip.
Ok, maybe it needs some time to sync. Great it works!

I have this issue as well--phone app has no provision for deleting the apps, on JB ROM.

Remove applications associated with google account

Over the years I have acquired, bought and tried numerous applciations.
A side effect of this is that I now have far too many apps assocaited with my accounts - majority of which I no longer require and nor have any intention of ever using.
Does anyone know how I can remove apps from my account so that they are no longer listed under market/play. This goes for paid apps as well. I just no longer what to see these apps anymore

Seems it is not possible for the meantime based on this link.
Permanently removing uninstalled apps
At this time, there is no way to permanently delete or remove apps from the Google Play website (My Orders/My Android Apps) or from the Google Play Store app (My Apps) that you’ve previously downloaded but have since uninstalled.
Uninstalling apps using the Google Play website
Android apps may only be uninstalled from the device itself - there is no way to remotely uninstall items from play.google.com.

I have a question about the Apps installed from Google Play - whether uninstalled or still running - does Google Play have any ability to modify these Apps, update them, force uninstall, etc?
Does the developer of an App have the ability to force (push) changes - whether requested updates, paid or free - to the phone?
I need to know how much control other parties have over the phone I own, think Carrier IQ as an example of what your phone can do that you may be unaware of

It depends, if you set/ clicked the auto update feature of the particular software for example adobe reader it will push automatic update (can be checked when you log into your Google play launcher>my apps>Click the app you want to check status). Other than that it remains into the manual update status which will notify you every time you are online by your phone.
bummer
We can push them...

How do I see ALL of my paid apps at the Android market?

Where are my paid apps in the market?
I have over 97 "Paid" apps that I would go to after a rom flash, then I moved onto TI back up because of the simplicity of doing a restore.
In the past with the Samsung Vibrant 2.2 rom , when I go to the market, under my apps, I would see my apps that I paid for.
Now with my New Samsung SG3 4.xx rom , when I go to the market, half of them are gone. It's like I have to search for them and half of the time I cant remember what it was I had installed until I need that app.
What is the fix for this?
How do I see ALL of my paid apps at the Android market?
In Google Play, go to menu and then 'My apps'. A list of installed app will be displayed. Swipe to the right, and a list of previously installed app will appear. Select your paid apps from this list.

Agreed, they should add a list for purchased apps.

There's also an app I heard about just yesterday named "Legacy Play Store" that will only display your PAID apps. You can sideload it without root on pre-Jellybean devices (need root on JB).
I just tried the legacy play store app and all I got was f/c's.

I do know of that method and it does list some of the apps that I have paid for but not all of them.
Thanks Viva_SA; for your reply but even that does not list all of the apps.
This is what happens when you have over 10 billion apps sold and a large fragmentatio
Yes I agree, there should be a better way to have your paid apps listed, ALL of your paid apps.
I think google knows of this because I am not the only one with this problem and as the play market becomes mature, I am sure that there are other bugs that are now starting to surface.

Did you check out the legacy play store that was linked? It looks like it will do what we are looking for..
My only question is how do you install an app from a apk?
Defiantly, I love differentiating my purchased apps from my installed apps. I have 4+ devices.... I have 100s of apps installed and a lot are free but I do have numerous paid apps I have purchased that I would like to view without scrolling ALL the way to the bottom of the My Apps page.
Also, play.google.com does not properly detect when an app IS NOT installed on your phone so you cannot install a app from the website that was previously on your phone.

I have asked the support from the Google Market Place before it was changed to Play. This is what they told me, regarding installing apps on multiple devices. The Apps from the Market, now Play are tied into your email address hence your account. Not a phone number, so if you are to have 4 phones, as long as they are signed into a valid single account then you are free to install your apps on each puppy.
The white link is "My Orders & Settings" on the footer of the page......

Disable Google Play Services

Who can tell wich services can I disable on Google Play Services app or plugin or whatever it is with app called Disable Service(available on play market)
It's running in background and hogging ram... I want to uncheck only those options wich won t ruin something or will disable Google Play Store
or can I uncheck all? There is about 60 services.
or maybe I can uninstall whole Google Play Services app? Will It cause any bugs?
As far as I know it's possible.
I already dealt with Annoying Google Maps that BIT*H is done and won t run in background at least till it will be needed.

Sweet app, this Disable Service! Thanks for the tip. I have frozen Google Play Services completely using App Quarantine, and no adverse effects for me - quite the opposite actually since the phone behaves better in all ways (memory-constrained 512 Mb Xperia Ray might be why). But if I run into any troubles, I'll go the Disable Service way instead.
-Scarface- Have you any further encounters with unchecking services since you post in August?
Use greenify, much better and safe.
Don't forget to convert google services to user app first with titanium so you can chose to hibernate in greenify.

I uninstalled Disable-Service and installed Greenify, used Titanium to convert Google Services to user app, but I found that Greenify kept reporting it had failed to hibernate Google Play services. So I’ve re installed Disable-Service, which works for me.

However I never succeeded in stopping Google play services and its wake-locks using 2% of my battery.

Apps auto enable upon phone startup despite disabling

Good morning,
I have disabled a number of apps on my phone, but 2 of the apps will auto enable themselves each time I startup my phone/open Play Store/update or uninstall an app.
The 2 apps are:
Chrome
Photos
Any workarounds? There is no issues with other apps that I have disabled other than these 2
I've found odd that Chrome keeps being activated on every open of Play Store or whenever I installl/update other apps.
Isn't there a workaround besides rooting?
