Anyone else experiencing data issues on the AT&T network? I'm getting no data at all with model 6802. I can send and receive texts though and wifi works great.

Is there a place/app where you can download the APN information for each carrier?

How does that work? I tried downloading and it does not work. I can't seem to get mms texts or HSPA *** ACTUALLY I FIGURED IT OUT AS WELL. Usually on Samsung unlocked phones I don't have to add the APNs. Did this time tho.

Guys you can put "phone" for an and "default, mms, supl" for apn type and you'll get great signal...faster than network.

Delete Wifi calling...help please

Can someone PLEASE tell me where to find the wifi calling service and or app so that i can get rid of this garbage annoying service and icon. Thank you.
No it's not in my settings. Yes I'm using a custom Rom but no one else using the Rom is having the issue so if someone could just tell me where to locate it in root explorer that'd be great. Thanks
Btw I deleted the WiFicall.Apk in system /app and it's still there so I know that's not it

IN the phone app, menu settings, should be at the bottom.
Under the dialing tab, hit the menu, choose call settings
at the bottom under Internet Call Settings
Try Titanium Back Up from Playstore, and go to Menu ---> Then Batch, find it and un-install it from there.
Lol it's not in either of those places. It's not in titanium backup either. Anyone know where it is in system?

Does it count as calling from abroad? Or does it just use regular minutes?
Go to settings > More Settings and uncheck wifi calling
And wifi calling deducts from your limited minutes. It isnt free calling but its just in case you have a bad phone signal you can use someones wifi to make calls. Once you make that call you cant be out of the wifi range or your call will drop. I disabled mine.

4G toggle?

Hello i just try to find if there a some way to get a toggle to be switching between 4G and 3G? Thanks

Nope, just like most phone don't have from 3g to 2g carries are trying to get rid of them, but hopefully they can make one

Download the "Phone Info" app from the market. It allows you to choose between 3g and 4g.
I was wondering the same thing. If theres no toggle, does it automatically go to the highest/best available data stream?
Thanks i just download this app and mess al lil bit with that an forget wich is the original set up could u help me with move it back

seems like i did not understand your question clearly before. anyways, just to clarify if both WiFi and mobile data is on, the system uses only WiFi, i hope that is how your phone behaves.
I think that might be possible via apps like Automate it/tasker, however i don't seem to understand the need for doing that.
Does that help? i am still wondering if i got your question correct.
Maybe approach from a different angle.... what are you trying to accomplish once you have the ability to toggle data while on wifi?
Ok let me be more clear I'm wondering what controls the data icon visibility when on WiFi, on every phone I've had the data icon isn't present when using WiFi except this one

[Q] Need Help - Lost 4g signal

For the past 3-4 days, I havent had 4g. Not sure if it's related but I first noticed it within 24 hourss after taking my phone apart to clean the proximity sensor (I use wifi at home so 4g isnt on). When I turn wifi off it takes anywhere from 30 sec to 3-4 minutes to connect to data, and its a 3g connection. When it does show a 4g connection, I cant actually connect to the intenet.
I've tried everything I can think of. Started with toggling airplane mode on/off. Made sure the settings were correct under mobile data options.
I was running slim 3.6 with KT's kernel, but I've tried other roms w/ stock kernel. I odin'ed back to stock & unroot. I went into verizon and had the sim card replaced. nothing has worked.
Any ideas? I've since taken my phone apart again, dont see any noticable damage. is it possible I did some damage when I took it apart the first time?
wifi/3g/phone all work, just no LTE. My wife also has a stocked/unrooted s4 and her's is working fine.
Thanks
Dan
Are you able to make phone calls?
Edit: Are you on stock tw right now? The reason I ask is I've had AOSP roms default my CDMA subscription to NV. Which should be on RUIM / SIM.

Just curious but are you on the correct APN setting>> LTE- Verizon Internet?
Edit: I know you said you had Verizon replace your sim card but they can screw up sometimes. Since your wife has the same phone I would swap sims and test both devices. If her sim gets 4g in your phone then your sim is no good. Just a suggestion.

Anything is possible. You would think they would have checked your APN. Were you on AOSP when they put a new SIM in?
Also from what you've posted, your CDMA sounds like its working fine. Just need to fix your LTE, which is were it boils down to your SIM.
Edit: You are on CDMA/LTE/EVDO in mobile network settings right?

This will narrow down whats going on and its easy. download this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htsoft.sqleditor
Open app, grant root privilege, under apps, find settings storage, then settings.db, then global. Now look for preferred_network_mode should be set at 10 , mobile_data should be set at 1.
If those values are different change them , save, then reboot.

I have this problem but only with MMS originating from certain iPhones.
I was reading online and I get the feeling this is a problem with carrier/iPhone settings and not the s5 so there might not be a way to fix it.
Might try disabling automatic download of MMS and try downloading it manually after turning wi-fi off as a temporary solution
Yea it works on regular data. I just was wondering if anyone else could not send on wifi of anyone knew how to turn off the call voice announcement.
Maybe a bug u say?
