[Q] Can't install anything except Gapps and ROMs? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hello dear forum members,
I have a question about CWM in X10 mini Pro (U20i).
I searched and read about flashing apps through CWM, but this is something I never got to work.
Is this impossible using an U20i?
I've tried different kind of CWM-versions (different naA-kernels) but nothing worked.
Thanks for the help!
Have a nice day!

It is possible to install Apps via CWM. But not in the form of apks, you'll have to make flashable zip including that app to install it via CWM.
Cheers

No, of course apk's doesn't work. But neither does any flashable .zip I've found either.

Sorry if I sounded grumpy, wasn't the plan.

what error do you get, if any?
And you can also make a flashable zip by yourself and flash it...

I tried using App2zip, that didn't work very well.
I also tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572962 without success.
And also other files I've downloaded.
The error I get is error in xxx.zip (Status 0)
Installation aborted.

yep, it happens with that zip files. use this one. copy the apk you want to install to the system/app folder. but don't decompress it.

Wow, this is the first time it actually works! Thank you!
I saw that you created a system directory inside the file.
If I wanted to install the apps as data-apps instead, is that also possible?

[WT19i][Tweak] Enable Dual Speakers in LWW for FXP CM9 [LWW]

For all who want desperately to make the Dual speakers of LWW work in the new ICS Roms (FXP Cm9) etc, Please REPLACE or ADD the following files (attached) in the zip file of the respective Rom that you are using in the CORRECT PATHS, before flashing that Rom in CWM. The paths are already given in the "RAR" archive, but for your convenience, I'm writing them once again.
For a CWM Flashble Zip (Dual Speakers and X-loud) For FXP CM9 Check ATTACHMENT....Flash It After flashing CM9....in CWM...
File Paths for Dual Speakers :
/system/bin/mediaserver
/system/lib/hw/audio.primary.default.so
/system/lib/hw/audio.primary.msm7x30.so
/system/lib/hw/audio_policy.default.so
/system/lib/hw/audio_policy.msm7x30.so
/system/lib/liba2dp.so
/system/lib/libaudioeq.so
/system/lib/libaudioflinger.so
/system/app/AudioEffectService.apk
/system/etc/audio_effects.conf
/system/etc/permissions/com.sonyericsson.audioeffectif.xml
/system/framework/semc_audioeffectif.jar
/system/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf
Hope this makes your ICS experience even more 'bug'-less.
CREDITS :
Lasan(FrogyFurnetal) (For the files) , Expeacer (For telling which files to replace or add) , ramezzidane (For the zip) and obviously to all the other Developers for making the amazing builds in which we can try this.
This is experimntal....Dont try if u can't take risks...
Confirmed to work with FXP cm9...So, it does not work on MiniCm or ExMIUI due to different building sources...
For a CWM flashable zip by 'someguyfromhell' check THIS out and post your findings and issues with different Roms. This zip is confirmed to work on GB CM7. The flashable zip in not for ICS Cm9.
Are you tried it with MiniCMSandwich or ExMIUI? Because when we tried last time, the phone don't boot...

Should I create a CWM-flashable .zip file?
Also, your first post says to replace these files before flashing the ROM. That will not work, because ROM installation replaces these files, causing the dual speakers to not work.
These files need to be replaced after ROM installation.

Looks the same to me. If this one stays in the market (unlike the last), that might be a better option for people who want it via .apk and not via flashing.
Does it support gesture typing in non-English languages like Dutch?

I couldn't find the CSMROM-v7.0.zip from upndwn4par, the only source for dowload it is from http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23060877489999863 , but the zip its broken (only weights 800 kb, sums MD5 fine but it cant be recognized by the CWM zip installer), ¿anyone has a mirror or could upload the proper file?

[updated 21/11/2015][wsm/xposed framework fix for all miui roms]

Hy guyz..
You all might getting problem while flashing WSM/XPOSED Framework in latest MIUI Chinese Roms.....
[Error:WSM/XPOSED is not compatible with Android SDK 19 or your processor architecture......Bla.... Bla.... Bla... Bla..]
.
.
Reasons could be th8.. Users were using Paid theme Module to download Paid themes for free!! So they Patched This ****ky.. WSM/Xposed Itself..!
.
.
.
.
.
.
I got a easiest solution for this.. Error...!!
Step(1):Trace path [/system/bin/app_process] And [/system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so]
Step(2): Delete Both the files (U must have root access to do this, Use any root Explorer) Note:- (Do backup First!!!)
Step(3): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087001158
Step(4): Copy "app_process" And "libandroid_runtime.so" And paste it to [/system/bin/] And [/system/lib/] respectively!
Step(5):Fix permissions for both of the files As[app_process(-rwxr-xr-x) and libandroid_runtime.so (-rw-r--r--)]
Step(6):Restart your phone And Install Xposed/WSM..... ENJOY
Thanks for the info, but I tried what you had written and now I have a device that won't boot properly
1. I made a backup copy of app_process & libandroid_runtime.so. Also backed up settings with the native Miui backup program.
2. Used root explorer to transfer the files, but upon overwriting libandroid_runtime.so, the device suddenly restarted and now won't boot. Now the device won't start -- it just shows the Mi logo but nothing happens.
Any suggestions?

Isn't it the same just to overwrite the file?
Anyways, I figured out how to boot to the backup partition, so I can use my phone now. You wouldn't know which folder has the backup files and which has the current files in it, do you?

Well, knowing what zip it was would be a good start to figuring out a solution. You can always wipe data which should fix it, but remove all your apps.

Having looked at the files, you will need to replace "LGSystemUI.apk" in /system/priv-app. If you don't know how to use ADB and don't have root, the only other option is to flash a stock ROM if there is one yet.
